Lol the old (0.62 and before) version had this. Also the "stamina" system was better like @Derleth mentioned. The game overall is a downgraded version with silly features and non-existing direction. No immersion and atmosphere left, even visually the weather is way downgraded. 0.62 is far superior than the current DayZ.

Still no broken bones, still no ballistics, still a shitty sickness system, still a shitty blood and damage system, no shock damage, etc. thanks for the deagle i guess, who needs that shit? You haven't even added all the fucking guns from old (real) DayZ yet. Is your only focus ruining the game or can we finally revert back to 0.62 and go from there? lol

Fix the ballistics and caliber balance. Restore it how it used to be. Also give us bones breaking.
-
Bump
-
Features are missing, graphics worse, engine worse, no ballistics, no broken bones, disease system castrated. Less guns There's a lot of people who wanna play 0,62 or 0.63 so they could really give us a legacy build to play on while people who prefer the new engine play 1.0
-
Or at least give us a 0.62 / 0.63 legacy build to download in steam and play online
-
Just revert back to 0.62 at this point lmao
-
what about ballistics?!!?!?!

I agree, as a veteran who always wanted to be the game to be as hard and harsh as possible - but this is ridiculous.

Is this really a thing? Stupid decision. Everyone should start fresh on Livonia. Also a small critic I have about Livonia: I think people should be able to drink out of small, running water sources like small rivers. Or they should only have a 20% chance of giving you a sickness with each sip, right now it is 100% I believe. It would be more realistic and adds tension - you're about to die of thirst and you drink from a river not knowing if you just "poisoned" yourself or if you're gonna be fine. In most places in the world drinking out of a small river will not make you sick so that you might die.

Thank you, some of the fixes regarding the blood and weather and heat/cold systems are great! I wish you would work on broken bones (and limb damage) and re-implementing ballistics though. But I'm very satisfied by this update, will probably be buying Livonia soon.

I sincerely hope you are not going to release Livonia as long as the temperature / cold / rain stuff isn't fixed. You're literally dying after 4-5 minutes in the rain. And overheating after cooking some meat on a campfire. Also sicknesses kill you after 5 minutes. How is that anything close to a good or realistic survival experience? I realize this game isn't trimmed (anymore) to be as realistic as possible but this is just artificial difficulty and as a long time player annoys the crap out of me. It is mind-boggling how long we have to wait for basic fixes like that. I tried to bring old players back to the game when Livonia was on experimental, and they ALL quit the game because of the cold/rain situation and because dehydration happens so quickly now. Bleeding rate is too high, aswell and the blood and shock and damage system isn't close to what it was in 0.62. Rain was fine as it was in 0.62. Same as temperature and sicknesses. Just remake it like you promised you would. Not even broken bones have made it into the game as of now. Disastrous.

Servers are soooo laggy

There are no broken bones / fractures in this game anymore? lol, back to 0.62 for me I guess. I was a returning player vom 0.62 and didn't know this wasn't in-game anymore. Any reasons for this? Is it planned for it to come back?
-
As a returning player from 0.62 I have to ask: Are there seriously no broken bones anymore? If I jump from somewhere I only make my health bar go down? I don't suffer fractures, broken bones or stuff like that anymore? Also is there still Adrenaline? Just tested it, and I seem to be right. lol that is a deal-breaker for me. Why did they remove this? Is it planned to make broken bones and fractures come back? Also, if I shoot someone in the foot he will not be unable to run/walk anymore?

I agree with hydration being too much of a problem. You run for 4 minutes and start losing health due to hydration, that is too harsh. I drank an entire water bottle and that lasted me about 20 minutes before being back to red hydration. I mostly jog, too. So it's not the running. Feels unrealistic and like artificial difficulty. and tents do not protect from rain, as another person stated.

After around 20 minutes of playing and only looting civilian spawns I found: 3 Glocks, a shotgun, 9mm ammo, over 60 rounds of 22lr ammo, slugs and winchester ammo, 45 acp ammo, 38 auto ammo and a CR-61 magazine The all-black inventory and character bug was fixed as soon as I restarted the game. Don't know how to reproduce the issue. I think it's safe to say the loot system has to be reworked because most of the loot in a regular town seems to be guns and ammo - is this PUBG or DayZ? Edit: I'm finished now. Died due to not being able to hydrate myself because we don't know the locations of the wells yet, also seems there's not as much wells now - but I love love love the new map. Gives the whole game a new feeling. However I found another bug with loot economy: Buildings close to a particular type of building (in my example the blue medical building) will also spawn the medical loot. In a civilian house next to the med building I found 3 labcoats and a blood testing kit and a thermometer, same with other buildings in the vicinity. But all the loot spawns in the new buildings i encountered worked perfectly and as intended! I also think the rate at which you have to hydrate yourself is slightly too much but that is only my personal opinion, I don't have a problem with it.

All items in my inventory are black, so is the character. Also I hate the fact my game is in german, can't figure out how to change it.
-
I disagree. I wanted this game to be a hardcore survival game, not PUBG. I didn't say 30 guns for 60 players, I said less than half the people should actually have guns with corresponding ammo and magazines. Which would probably equate to around 60-100 guns for 60 players, as not everyone will be able to find them because they could spawn in very remote locations. That would be more than enough for me. I did. You changed your playstyle because DayZ wasn't hardcore enough for you so you suggest everyone changes their playstyle instead of just making the game more hardcore like you and me and many more want it to be and were promised to be.

Edit: nevermind, I'm dumb. Excited to try the new map!!!

That's why I always liked Standalone better than the mod. How is my argument invalid? The creators of Standalone promised us an atmospheric, realistic survival experience. I don't see how shitty bases that look like shit are realistic when in reality I could just fortify an existing structure and live in that structure? How does it make sense to build some shitty wood fortress all by yourself in a survival game which would take weeks in real life? lol, every person with a brain would just move into an existing house and fortify it. Hell, every basement would be a better place to live than building huge wooden structures - also who would make the effort to build huge structures that are inferior to existing buildings in every way? It makes NO sense. Of course we don't have basements or caves in DayZ, because the devs focused on unrealistic, dumb-looking and unatmospheric basebuilding that right now only 1. destroys loot economy because clans hoard their shit there, 2. looks out of place, 3. isn't defendable, 4. is unrealistic. Also the focus on base-building is the reason why the rest of the game doesn't move forward and is still bugged to hell and doesn't even have all the features 0.62 had. Remember progress was MUCH faster when basebuilding wasn't there.
-
So you are gimping yourself because there is too much loot. You literally admitted to that. lol There is too much loot. And there shouldn't be more guns than players. Not even half of the people on a server should have a gun, and even less should have the right ammo for their gun.
-
Absolutely. I agree. But anything beyond that destroys the game for me.
-
I want basebuilding to be removed completely. I'm probably the minority but I hate the feature and think it destroys the atmosphere and is completely contrary to the point of DayZ.
