All you Hardcore players packed it up and left?
VVarhead replied to infiltrator's topic in General Discussion
1pp Player aswell, I'm really intrigued which one of you built the huge huge huge tent city near Lopatino on EU: Survivors Battlefield? I stole all your shit -
Still way too much food and guns, the tent cities spawn all kinds of ammo, it's ridiculous by now. I thought the CLE could be changed in an instant now? Loot is still soooo vast.
-
Do want servers
-
Duping is still a problem
-
What the fuck is wrong with loot at vehicle wrecks btw? Not even jeeps or truck spawn anything. Do only dynamic police cars spawn shit? All that's being talked is loot distribution and still you take vehicles out of the equation? I thought loot explosions only happened at guardhouses? Also, the small military towers don't spawn anything anymore, as does a lot of stuff.

This would be great, awesome idea!
-
after looking at the video all I have to say is HYPE HYPE HYPE btw I love the idea with the long range transmissions and dynamic events being transmitted over radio or Long Range Transmitter

The poster above me is a whiner who knows nothing about (alpha) development. -- Please just make the game harder, Loot-wise, I'm not even talking about infected here. I like the idea of soft-skills a lot. I used to think this was already somehow implemented, because one of my characters (probably through a weird bug) was left untouched by any kind of rain or water, I did not get wet. Some survived up to 8 bullets, passed out, then still woke up and lived. It's probably just random, but this "connection" to your character and the stuff he experienced always made the game for me. And soft-skills will make this even more immersible.

SERGEJ! MY WEIRD RUSSIAN COMRADE WHERE ARE YOU!? (Sergej: M.I.A - Today - exp update)

Sup guys. I just wanted to address something that's quite important to me and wanted to hear a few opinions concerning the priority of food in the loot distribution. I don't think food should be plentiful, in fact the most fun hours I've had with the game was when the stable patch hit where neither wells worked nor any food was to be found. Imo, food should be as rare as civilian firearms, afterall we're in a post-apocalyptic scenario and there's already more than enough ways to find food. Afterall I thought DayZ Standalone was focusing on the survival-aspect, finding food at every shithole isn't survival to me.

That's a great idea, it really is. Also, shouldn't be hard to do. Please, Dev's..
-
Also a great FPS fix possibly: Zombies don't spawn anymore, they orbit players.
-
loooool I remember this. Also, everytime you shot there was a Zombie spawning 10 meters near you, also a "feature" introduced in those patches was infected running about twice the speed as yourself. That was hilarious. Great Patch indeed. Almost as awesome as no food / no wells patch

Is the loot system super messed up? I did a bit of testing.

Please just read any of the status reports (Devblogs) before opening up threads?! -
I agree with the effect of stamina and even zombie population on food. But I don't see how that balances the fact you can craft a fishing rod out of pretty much anything and casually get 20 fish outta there, you can cook them in almost every house now, you can make fire with just an axe and a knife/matches, you can find berries, apples, (soon) mushrooms food is fucking everywhere Food should be the main reason players get killed, food should be as rare as large calibre weapons (which are way too common now, too)
-
I sure hope it hasn't. I'm talking bout' both versions, food in stable is way to high whereas in experimental it's not that game-breaking and atmosphere-crushing.
-
Really looking forward to persistence. I don't know how I think about the max item limit per building, I always liked how it was rather random at some times. Loved the patch too where you could find anything anywhere but everything was really really rare, you could barely find food or any other loot for that matter if you didn't know where to look. Hope this aspect comes back soon, we got enough options to hydrate and energize ourselves. Food should be rare.

indeed

I really think that's an important aspect, and in general this is a very important issue and design decision. I want some woods to be denser than others, more bushes

Greetings fellow survivors! So, I've found something very interesting it seems. Just north of the helicopter spawn north of stary sobor there is a place which looks like a concreted-over vault. On there is a sign. It looks like this http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/445078616488140449/69855D1F8BF16FD72CB71DA6A54CA7C12CE9A515/ So, if this isn't weird enough. I got plenty of russian buddies, and I asked them to translate me. On there stands: "Here lied the god of the earth" After that, there is a word that translates to "Shpil". Meaning unknown. What is buried here, beneath this vault? Is it a mass grave? Are there survivors in there? Living in a vault?! Actually, the sentence translates to "Beneath here lies the bug of the earth" But "bug" in russian can easily be misread as "god". I think that was on purpose And the word after that is the russian word the bug was called, back in an earlier DayZ Version. A "Shpil" is the pointy top of a church or whatever you call it (I'm not a native english speaker). Of course this is just the "official" version which can not be trusted. Also, there are skinwalkers at the green mountain. Let's find out what's buried under there. Someone throw a few landmines up there. A

Would you be so kind to give out the coordinates?
-
Before the map changes there was a lot more terrain in which you could get lost. Not so much small towns, cities. All the towns in the north were literally not there, it was better that way. I once got lost for 2,5 hours (!), before nearly starving I finally found a town. good old times..

I'm disappointed nobody found the secret in the OP yet. and nobody appreciates good ol' dayz lore

I've played this quite a lot lately, I don't know how much of those bugs have been stated but I'll try to keep it short: - When having something in your hands, you can't use the quickslots (1,2,3, etc.) to drop the item and equip the item in the quickslot. - Clothing barely seems to spawn, and if it spawns, it spawns in masses and nothing else really spawns in that building - some items just don't spawn - Russian Helicopters seem to spawn no weapons at all (??) .- sometimes the weapons of my mates are invisible and are lying on the ground somewhere when they actually have them equipped and can shoot with them, this has not happened prior to the update - when running through an apple-field at dawn the sky suddenly turns bright-blue and the sun turns brighter, aswell, and it looks like it's broad day, as soon as you leave the field, it changes back.

I've got convinced to play 1pp more.

So who of you was the fuck that shot me and my guy way up north-east near a small village, some wells and a lot of deerstands? Like it was literally way up north, at the top and end of the map I would have never thought that I'd meet someone up there, until I got hit. We shot zombies like madmen, though.
