Loot is fucked and has been for a very long time, I don't agree with your other stuff about the game but loot, in fact, is very very very broken. There is too much of everything and loot respawning randomly is just the tip of the iceberg. There's too much guns, too much food, too much everything.

As a long time DayZ player I have to say: PLEASE rethink the amount of wolves in the game. They should be a rare encounter. How is that realistic? It breaks immersion and atmosphere to encounter 6 wolfpacks in 3 hours (last time I played).

Yes, 0.62 is exclusively a visual update for the forests and other stuff.

Thanks for the report! Amazing work, as usual. I love the map changes and stuff, but PLEASE consider that the map is already feeling "overloaded". I remember being lost for hours up north when I started playing, there was nothing there. Now there is city after city after city. And no truly remote areas anymore. I feel that the forests are getting smaller and smaller with each map change :(

I agree very much. You are basically forced to hip-fire in a close-combat-environment because it gives you a significant advantage in terms of aiming and shooting faster than your opponent while being almost as accurate. I killed a guy with hip-fire from like 80 metres, fired 4 shots. It's ridiculous.

I'm gonna say what I've said numerous times: I think loot and food needs to be A: More random (definitely not split into areas or something) B: More scarce C: ruined items should spawn That's all. :)

Correction: I found a full(!) SVD Mag in Tent City yesterday.

The "new" Barracks spawn them, those with the double-doors and the beds on each side of the room. SVD mags can not be found in the tents, as far as I know (and I've looted quite a few).

Thank you for stating this, this honest and clearly. Hope the game gets more difficult (reduced foods, also the mentioned hypothermia) soon! Looking forward to your work, DayZ is the best game I've ever played, period.

There is way too much loot as of right now, This thread is whining at its finest.

There was a patch not too long ago where zombies would outrun players and also zombies spawned near you whenever you fired a shot. That was kinda comical. I don't think infected should be faster, but every military base should be populated by a lot of "military" infected with plate carriers (extensive protection) and ballistic helmets. You guys just don't seem to remember the days where shooting in a large city equaled instant DEATH because zombies were just more plentiful. Once we get more Zs, the problem will fix itself.

I absolutely love that you focus on weapon-handling aswell. Jamming is a feature I'd really like to see. Will we see advanced weapons control like some brilliant poster on here made a picture about? We already have manual bolt-handling, but I would love to have a safety in DayZ as it makes sense, I've had a lot of negligent discharges in DayZ.

I have to agree with you. Of course, encounters and battles are exciting, no doubt about that. Especially with the ballistics (and soon, hopefully) advanced weapon handling. But the most intriguing factor for me was always getting to "know" Chernarus, the places, find a "home", meet interesting people, creepy stuff (Green Mountain, etc.) The people who play DayZ to explicitly scare other players or make something uncommon happen are doing gods work, so to say. KoS might be fun for a while, but I could have never spent this much time in the game without the world being simply so beautiful, with lots of unique spots and simply weird shit happening all the time. I once encountered a weird russian person on a server, then I heard his screams and he was suddenly gone. I ran up north, up to an hour later I suddenly come across a SOVIET GRAVE in the middle of some woods where I've never been and there is absolutely nothing around. I am absolutely convinced it was the grave of Sergej the weird russian and I encountered a ghost in DayZ. :P
