I'm having some serious issues with the sickness system. Been playing since the first day standalone came out and I'm absolutely puzzled about the sickness system - can't imagine how frustrated new players must be. I strongly feel that if you equip a water bottle with tainted (dirty) water, and then use your normal canteen with purified and clean water to drink you will sometimes get sick. Has to be a bug.

Also, wasn't there plans (years ago) to make some wells filled with non-drinkable or poisoned water or just not working at all? I really would LOVE to see this feature because to this day my favorite patch was the one where wells were broken and food spawns were fucked and almost non existent. That was an awesome survival experience, just like we were promised. Not this PUBG knock-off with more weapons on the map than there's players and stupid ass basebuilding where people just hoard stuff and destroy the atmosphere of Chernarus. Not everybody on a server should have weapons, matter of fact not even half the players should have weapons which would make finding a weapon a great experience and finding the right ammo or a mag even more.

Completely agree with all your points. Too much loot, too much food, too much weapons, too much focus on the basebuilding. Also just remove the hive system at this point, I'm tired of seeing people jump servers and exploit the teleporting feature that you included for some stupid reason. The solution to solving ghosting is to make log-out times much worse. If you log out, you need to make a 15 minute pause to join a new server or join the same server again to prevent ghosting, meanwhile your character stays on the server for 15 minutes so if you've been in a firefight you will get killed - problem solved. I also really dislike the sickness system as of right now, dying of food poisoning takes around 5-10 minutes without treatment, makes no sense and is especially frustrating for new players.

Guns should be so rare that not everyone on a server can find a weapon. 150 is way too much.

Is cooking bugged? Or am I doing something wrong? Tried to cook cow steaks over a fireplace in some house and it just did not go from rare to cooked, I just ate it after 10 minutes of cooking it because I was fed up with it bugging out and then I died of fucking food poisoning in a timeframe of like 15 minutes - how is that realistic? Also how can food poisoning be lethal so quickly and after puking your brains out? This game is a mess. Base-building is what killed this game for good. You should have taken the player's advice and make it possible to barricade and fortify already existing structures in Chernarus because the bases feel out of place, are bugged and pretty much useless right now whereas fortified houses or even those big apartment buildings would be amazing to fortify and occupy - and very atmospheric and blend in with the world - also much harder to locate. Apple trees are still exploitable, by the way. Just in a very weird and different way from what it used to be. Just go to a location with apple trees, not the big orchards though, then leave and come back after 15 minutes and they spawn. If you do not leave and return they will not spawn and you will not find apples. Dumb.

Troll? I've been a big supporter since the Mod days, you came here in 2018 so you haven't even got a clue what I'm talking about. If you think 1.0 is better than 0.62 then you're delusional, literally half of the features are gone, no broken bones, no ballistics, guns are now railguns, shitty disease and medical system, shitty melee, more bugs, etc. Oh, and yeah, please pay for the DLC. 😉

Oh man I feel pity for the people who still play this game. 1.0 ruined everything, have fun enjoying your battle-royale bullshit with base-building whales and incompetent devs. This game has strayed so far from what made it great. Base-building was a huge mistake, new engine was a mistake, new controls are a mistake, everything you did since the new engine was a mistake. 0.50 was better than DayZ is now, and 0.50 was the patch where water wells didn't work.

You completely lost track of what the core-community wants. Great, we got fucking half-assed base-building that nobody needs but core features aren't working. At least you're giving us modding support, so that more competent hobby-developers can take care of this mess. 0.50 played better than 0.63 does, I'm dead fucking serious.

Also, I want to ask the devs something that has been on my mind for some time: Can we get randomized wells? Some wells should be dried out or maybe filled with contaminated water which can give you cholera. It really sucks right now that you can just look at the map and run to the nearest well and you're never gonna be in danger of thirst. I know it's kind of a big task to make the wells dynamic basically, but it would really really benefit the game. Water would be a much more important resource. -

I agree with all your points. I believe recoil is getting a re-work though. I don't believe that the current state of recoil in the stream is the finalized state. -

I'd rather see base-building implemented in a way which utilizes existing structures. Being able to reinforce houses or apartements in the big buildings and make them your home. Epoch-style basebuilding destroys immersion. I don't wanna run around in the wilderness and find ridiculous structures all over Chernarus. It just seems out of place. Why would anybody sleep in some makeshift-shacks when there are structures all over Chernarus which you could make easily inhabitable, plus it's probably easier to implement than free base-building. -

This definitely needs to be adressed. I would go as far as saying dynamic lightning needs to be removed from player chars if we can't fix this issue. -

Okay, didn't hear that about the HUD, that's good news. And yeah, I'm aware there's multiple ways of changing gamma, but removing the option from the in-game options makes it at least more annoying to constantly switch gamma. Also I'd like to ask about the draw distance: Why is it so incredibly low? There's so much fog, DayZ didn't always look like this. I guess it's a performance choice, but I never had performance problems with the higher draw distance in 0.60 for example By the way, I don't want to sound negative. I appreciate all the work done on the game, I was just bothered by the HUD and draw distance.
