This just happened to me yesterday: Was playing alone at NWAF, went into woods behind fire station to log out. Hadn't seen any zombies in at least 10 minutes. Stopped in the woods, carefully scanned around for about 30 seconds to make sure I didn't have agro. Didn't see anything, so went to log out screen. Just as I hit EXIT button, I hear "RAWWWRRRR!!". After cursing I immediately try to log back in. I get the 30 second timer, and I'm a fresh-spawn.

Heli spawns were broken with the .46 update to stable. Been like 3-4 weeks without them. The people you're seeing with M4's since then are most likely dupers. If you also found a hacked magazine on them, definitely a duper AND exploiter.

You're looking in the right spot, just unlucky so far, or somebody is beating you to them.

The two-door tents DO still spawn items, but the one-door (with wooden floors) tents do not spawn anything. So the tent cities are still worthwhile. That is where you usually find AKM parts, too.

I've had the same bad luck with MP5, emptied a 30 rd mag into a guy about 3 meters away, he shrugged them off and killed me with his AK. I didn't see any hits on him at all. In it's current state it isn't worth carrying. @MadWookie I took out a full-health, fully geared guy at Balota with my Mosin in only 2 shots, but I agree, no KO. Maybe they're just addding in some variability to the weapon damage, makes sense. Cuz I have also been insta-killed by 1 AKM round to the head. Or at least I only HEARD one round. FYI all these encounters were within the last week.

Boot knife? What? Is this coming in the next update or already here? Can I do it with a kitchen knife?

A few other people have reported it on the forums. I've never experienced it myself, but I would gladly give up the normal spawning gear for such great health AND close proximity to loot heaven.

To find the Vybor military compound, go to the HQ/jail building that is on the south side of NWAF, that is close to the barracks. Go out the gate that is in front of the HQ bldg, find your way through the wall and fence, and you'll come to a road. Turn left at the road, follow it until it comes to a "T". You're going south. Keep going the same direction, you can follow the line of trees, it leads directly to that military base you're looking for.

Well hopefully today's update fixed the helo spawns.

Are these on stable currently? If so they're super rare, because I haven't found any, and I've been looting everywhere since .46 went stable. I gave up, just figured they're bugged like the helo crash sites.

Good to know. My first attempt at cooking on a fire ended in burnt steaks. I'm glad I avoided the temptation to eat them anyway. My stuff cooks fast, like within 2 minutes. I usually use 4 logs and 4 stones. And yeah, that window between cooked and burnt is very slim.

No way. This baby goes in my backpack. Too many vests ruined by zeds.

I never did find them in 45, haven't really looked for them in 46 yet. Back on topic, where have the grenades been found? Besides a questionable find in barracks?

Was this on .46 experimental? or did you loot them on .45 and carry them over? Because I too have not found a single helo crash site since .46 went to stable. I was searching about 3 hours last night, nothing. Usually in 3 hours I've found at least 2 helo's when .45 was stable. Either they broke them, or decreased the spawn frequency, or changed the spawn locations.

It's not really that hard to report a server that kicks you. I've done it once, had to send it to ALL the providers. I got a response from the server provider that my complaint was addressed, and even from the other server providers I got responses (that it wasn't one of their servers). A few days later I saw the IP was no longer listed. So I think you can get results if you put in the effort.

This map is not complete. There are like 40 different possible spawn locations, and only 3 heli's spawn per server cycle. I have the map at home, I'll post it later.

I noticed it on current live (.45) also.

I was eating a green bell pepper on the second floor of a house. Same thing. Thankfully I had a fire axe and there was a suitable tree in the backyard that I could make a splint. They happen randomly. Be prepared. At least sticks are easier to aquire now. Well except through foraging. I foraged in the woods on another character who didn't have an axe, and after 20 minutes still couldn't find sticks.

Still disagree with you. Logging out/in someplace safe is the best way to avoid being helpless on log in.

No, they're not realistic. But neither is suddenly appearing out of thin air to take a tactical advantage. The login sounds WOULD be what we call "game balancing".
