I usually call people who don't surrender at gunpoint when they have no chance, kinda silly. For me its bad RP, not valuing your life at all. It's all part of the fun, not taking the game too seriously. I've had better times being carted around the map restrained, than from a 3 second firefight. Anyway each to his own ;)

You mean it is marked experimental and has a later version (782)? If so the servers on epxerimental are under heavy load during the day, so mabe its that. Otherwise its a troll/farm server.

Not just lots of zombies but difficult, fast, agile zombies too. I think that could help with the zombie count limitations. A moving mass that keeps on coming no matter what. A force to be feared and avoided unless lots of ammo is involved and badassness included.

I always find using common sence while looting and scouting works best. Also when you encounter a group, if they have not seen you the best way to get your end is for them to continue not to see you. -

Whaaat... There's always time to roleplay, make bonds with others and PvP. Indeed the balance has shifted in that you do all those things out of choice while you are looting and not after you have a decent loadout. DayZ is about choices. Giving the player a vast amount of choices while at the same time surviving a harsh environtment where your worst enemy can be yourself, is awesome and unique. I don't know if I have understood what you said correctly so sorry.

Had the same done to me! :rolleyes: It was a tense moment too when I was hiding from some bandits. Sometimes when I walk down a street late at night and hear a car coming I sometimes think: "Hide! Quick get behind that wall so he doesn't see you!" I then remember and feel embaraced and a bit silly.

It is quite simple atm. You drag and drop items on others and if it comes up with an orange box around it, then you can make stuff with those items. In future I guess it'll get more complicated. I don't think we'll see a sepparate menu for it though. Basically for now everything happens in the inventory screen. If you could elaborate a bit on specifics that you want to know that'd be great. ;)

Indeed, good point. A full sign would be good. Although throwing up does not happen if you stay idle after having eaten, or walking. It only happens when you sprint or jog. I IRL have done the silly thing of eating a lot and then having to sprint to get to a lecture in time, making me throw everything up.. :rolleyes:

That is deffinately something they will not add. Bars/% etc and gamey stuff like that, are not for DayZ. They will improve the text messages and I expect the inventory icons. R wants the in game screen to be clear of UI appart from the hotbar. IRL you don't say "Oh now that I am 57,2% hydrated I must wait a little to drink more"

2. Sprinting about the place on a stuffed stomach is never a good idea in real life. It may need a bit of tweaking but it is certainly authentic, and does not let you drink a pond of water and then sprint 5 miles, no trouble. Theres much more to the fod/drink system than just water, stomach and hunger. Please read up on it. Otherwise pretty much agree although I have not noticed any fps differences or random deaths yet.

Will Preventing Server-Hopping Increase Kos?

Kill on sight does not exploit the game to get his ends. I guarantee you that getting killed by hoppers in the back from a building you just checked is way more infuriating than KoS. And anyway while the game gets harder KoS will go down IMO. So this change is awesome. -
Indeed why do you get that feeling? Once optimizations are done we will have loads of zombies and lots of junk loot. Good stuff will be rare, even more so with the dynamic loot count that can be changed across all servers. i.e they can set the presice amount of M4s spawning all over the map across all servers. Same goes for infections etc.

As long as there are many servers on one hive, server hopping will still exist. You can't stop people from changing servers really, you can only get in the way of hoppers somewhat. -
Optimization usually happens later in development process, not so early as alpha. Probably beta methinks.

Question Regarding Most Of The Things I Don't Know

Welcome ;) 1. Yes it does, dead bodies, items and things not on your character will dissappear on server restart. 2. Not sure what you mean by base. At the moment you cannot store items through server restarts or make campfires/tents etc. When things like this are added you will be able to access them after death and they will persist as long as they are used, regardless of restarts. Anything more you want to ask, feel free to drop me a PM. -
Problem With No Longer Spawning In/near Cherno

You can't easily move a whole airfield without upsetting other stuff. Theres the NE Airfield that has reasonable military gear, most people head there. All for the best if you ask me, make them explore other parts of the map appart from the usual Balota camps and Cherno snipers. ;) Balota has a bad name, and is a no go area for me, unless I want to get killed by server hoppers.
