  3. why would you want to pay? There's loads of awesome private hives with no payment at all. EDIT: Except if you meant server hosters in which case I don't know about if phone payments are possible.

    DayZ is the only game that has me hooked for so long (since last May). As said before, Mount and Blade and the TW series are awesome when you want to give DayZ a rest.

  10. My point isn't that though is it? You cannot generalize saying that if a game (alpha or not) starts off bad it will end bad as well.
  11. Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in here: No. Cannot agree less here. You cannot say that about all. I will just say this cos I have no time to elaborate: Empire Total War. Terrible at the start (nearly unplayable) still selling quite well. Even if a game didnt do well at sales at the start also doesnt mean it was a bad game.

    Chance of spawning as different characters

    Had this idea too myself but turned it down. Its a tad too gamey for my tastes. Like a sort of tutorial in any MMO out there telling you to do stuff so you can start playing again. Since in DayZ you tend to die often what you are suggesting would just be a nuissance that could lead to people dieing on purpose just to not do the sequence. I think its fine as it is, and anyway in SA i should think you would start with even less stuff.

  17. Any other ideas on what we should talk about? I think the mod has pretty much exhausted discussions on it for now (till next update) and we have had loads of news on the SA. Its fine to speculate on ideas that have not been set in stone yet. The english is not great sry :blush:

    Permanent injuries

    I think you would die if shot in the chest. You cannot survive severe injuries like this without proffessional surgery i dont think. It would be cool though for you to be able to tend wounded, like try to stop the bleeding with many bandages but the guy just dies. This will lend intensity to every wound taken. Also it would be a good idea to have a medical system like in ACE/ACRE where you have to use many bandages to stop bleeding from bad wounds. Agreed here.

  20. I agree here. Uuuhhm First Person? It would be diffecult that! :P All this seems harder from a First Person perspective.
  21. I hope small scratces will be in the game. Any small or large wound/injury can be crucial in surviving, especialy in a zombie apocalipse. No wounds should be left untreated else they will fester (espessialy zombie hits). This might add a whole new level of fear for getting hit by zeds and/or players. So yes if small cuts and things are to be implemented it is kind of imperative that we can see whats going on with them. Suggesion: It would be cool to have the second idea implemented but with an option when you right click to give you more informations on the wound. So the second idea could morph into the first one once you check the wound. Sorry for my english guys, I may have not expressed myself very correctly. XD
  22. It does make sense though to check your wounds and have the results desplayed to you though. Sinse without that it would be hard to replicate a small scratch to the upper arm just with animations. Anyway if Rocket can make it work with no UI at all thats even better! ::P
  23. Awesome ideas mate! I think i prefer the first one cos it coveys more infos on the character. It also makes sense to be able to check your wounds (i.e taking some action to see what is your condition). On the other hand the second idea gives you less information. Maybe this could be used since the weak point in the first one is that it doesnt take 2 seconds IRL to thoroughly check your wounds/condition. I can see the second one implemented with a right click thing on the wound and an animation to check it or something like that. Hope Rocket sees your ideas!! :P
