I hope I wont be global banned when I get to install DayZ after my exams in June. Cos I got malware on my PC and I lost a few hundred GB worth of games and still didnt find the thing with malware-bytes. I just have to hope!

I say reduce spawn rate. Instead of finding 5 in a box you should be able to find 0,1 or 2 at the most. As it stands its like all the zombies pass by the hosptals of Chernaurus every day to give blood. Also adding a decay mechanic to them will make you think twice about having 7-8 in your pack for a 3 man squad. Edit: If the whole medical system is not to be redone somehow for the mod then we need a little more wildlife. I want to be able to hit them damn birds for a start! :P

Yes danger in the woods is confirmed (more like hordes of zeds wandering the woods scaring the shits out of players and boars alike), no info (i think) on dangerous animals for alpha at least. About wood cabins: We have deer stands and IMHO the woods need to feel like a wilderness,with not much human stuff in, and a dangerous wilderness at that. -
Just my 2 cents: There probably is a deadline for the alpha release, they're just not telling us about it IMO... :P About the full game nobody can know just because of the multitude of features planned and discussed. Edit: Rocket is making SA (duh? :P) thats why he is not actively involved in the mod. He just approves of the updates for the mod as said above.

Self blood bag is already on many servers out there. (whyyyyyyyyyyy) Anyway it would be like carrying multiple health packs around. Imagine this situation: You get shot and are bleeding heavily. Private servers prove that the average players don't know shit about gameplay

I really hope the Standalone will be difficult as f*ck!! No 35839^56 vehicles, no 42 choppers, no 7 barracks at balota/kamenka etc, hardly any military grade stuff, food and drink that is scarce, deseases that wipe out entire servers, something that gives your character meaning and not just your gear etc. An authentic survival experience. Something that stays true to the starting principles of DayZ which are what I started DayZ because of, back in May. Let me just quote R a moment: "I hear what everyone is saying, and yes - its cruel and unsporting when you get killed 10 seconds into the game. But that's what this is, it is brutal, it is cruel. This is not fair. Maybe you will hate this game. Maybe you already do. It is an unforgiving environment with no structure. It is up to you to decide what to do next. As you say there is no point to these servers IMHO but the majority of DayZ players seem to flock to them. It baffles me what new players starting DayZ now will think of the SA. At the moment I have to look under rocks to find a hacker-free server with a DayZ experience close to vanilla. They will most probably hate SA because it will be "too difficult and unforgiving". I dont know, I hope I am wrong. Anyway end rant :P Had to get that off me. So Dean, Matt and co please make this game challenging, dark, brutal, unforgiving etc. but at the same time rewarding and worthwhile like the mod still is sometimes. -

Killing a group of 7 in an UAZ with my trusty M249 all on my lonesome! My first 2 kills of the game where very satisfying: 450 meter shots with an enfield at balota!

looking for a good server to play

Me and my clan are looking for a good EU server with the features you say too... There seem to be many people asking for something of the sort but not any good private hives of such description with an active playerbase. Most private hives with something close to vanilla are either empty or have too few players. Its a great dilemma. @RaicoonTM your linky doesn't work! Where do you play? On a private hive or public? -

A agree on most of them and most of these you suggested have been confirmed in SA. I don't agree here. Nothing has more value than items in this game. If the monetary system collapses then the value of different items will only be measured in other items. Example: Lee Enfield= 2 Macs etc. There will be a note system in SA where you can write whatever you want (if you have pen and paper) and stick that piece of paper somewhere where someone might see it. This will open up a huge range of possibilities. There will be high powered rifles (don't know about .50s) and assault rifles in SA but they will be VERY rare.

Random Question: I just watched "The Survivors" DayZ trailer again after about 8 months and noticed the bigger tents. Can they no be added into the mod? I know maybe this is not the right place to post this but I dont want to post a new topic about it. I would also like to see in the SA lots of different tent types and different ways to cache your loot apart from just tents. Nothing should be completely safe though. -

Rocket is thinking about something "like" this. But no HUD and gamey stuff like that. You wont get any *ding* "You have leveled up! You can now do X/Y!" It will be more subtle. Like after fixing many many different car parts you might be able to do it better/faster or fine tune car parts. This is later in development though. Also this is second hand info so it may not be exactly like what I say or what the guy says. I hate to promote streamers and the like but this guy got some time alone with Rocket and got a load of Questions in. http://el.twitch.tv/...iel/b/393773349 and skip to 2:07:30 an watch from that point. Or 2:09:25 for the exact Question. Question ends at 2:14:00 There's tons of goodies in there although its second hand and not very reliable as to its accurateness. -

Well to tell you the truth the DayZ mod for ArmA3 is nothing new really. Its just ArmA2 assets plonked into ArmA3. Basicaly the only thing they have used from ArmA3 is a few of the physics, lighting effects, the character stances and some animations. There is so much stuff that can be used from ArmA3 that they are leaving out. They should focus on making a mod using stuff of ArmA 3. Anyway we just have to wait and see what they do I suppose. -

Chernaurus is the best Hands Down. It has more detail than any other map I think. Also your profile pic makes it hard to consentrate.
