I spotted the surrealism of the underlying metaphor of this picture! It pictures DayZ Standing Up and Alone, all by itself, facing the horde of Zombies head on! Whereas the WarZ is lying down and cowering in fear! Nice one! I like seeing pictures with a story to tell :P

In the SA there will be more than 150 (I think?) different clothing items. You will be able to choose what you like/have/find to wear. Also R is probably gonna make a new humanity system for SA. -
Hello there R4Z0R! That looks amazing! :P Looking forward to it big time! Just a question: I see you have 3 phases of bandit and 3 phases of hero. Do these phases in the journal also represent changes on the player's character ( i.e clothing/skin) or is it purely to show what humanity you are at?

How will servers be handled in SA?

I think private serves did both. They saved the mod when it needed saving (back in August with hackers as you say) and they dilluted it afterwards. When admins realized that having 4500 vehicles was possible and attracted players it all got out of hand. But hackers hopefully will not be a problem in SA, so we won't be having private hives for that reason. Private hives' primary reason for existing will be to change the game experience (i.e dillute it as we have seen in the mod). I am not saying this is necessarily a bad thing but people always try to make things easier than they are and that is why I don't like the idea of private hives altogether in SA. -
As said by others there should be something very basic (controls), and for no reason should it show you a map, anything loot-ish, anything zed-ish and anything shoot-ish. Make them learn it the hard way like we did.

I would make running back to your body too easy. Its bad enough in Origins, and should be taken out. Also I don't ever see it being implemented for the SA, since it would ruin the sence of loneliness, not knowing where you are. Have patience, don't rage, use your feet God knows you will need them in SA with no vehicles (at least on release). -

I think when SA comes and this forum is changed over (to DayZGame etc with a sub bit for the mod) we are gonna see many more threads like this gem I found from about a year ago!

Fine but I bet people who only know this DayZ (4854^45 vehicles "custom load outs"=m1911 at start, "custom buildings"= 56 barracks at Kamenka etc.) and not the vanilla will be the first to whine about it being hard when SA comes. I bet you my pants.

A minute ago you where asking for a video (or not)... Well anyway I don't think making a post like the one under really satisfies the hunger of demanding gamers waiting for their favourite game. So why make it anyway? Do people honestly think they are just lounging about doing nothing if we don't learn about what they are doing? MINI Blog April 10th Matt Lightfoot says: - At the moment I am following up from meetings at PAX/GDC, keeping Dean updated with development progress, keeping external artists tasked, Ivan Buchta (The Lord Mayor of Chernarus) is helping me a large amount on the design side while Dean is away. - Our Programmers are still working on the client/server architecture, radios/VOIP and solving several bugs. - In house art cell are working on path lods in buildings to improve zombies movement in buildings and texture passes on assests. - External art cell, working on a couple of weapons, some more clothing items and some items. - Our animation cell, are working through a backlog of animations we want to do. - SenChi with the help of Ivan are going through existing towns now and making improvements through changing layouts slightly and such. I'm sorry for the lack of communication, I've just been exceptionally busy.
