I did indeed, albeit a bit fast. Anyway it seems we have gotten into a bit of a fiddle here. Sorry about that. He said he would rather loose just his gear. Therefore people KoS mainly because gear can be found relatively quickly in the mod. In SA gear will be scarce and skill will be hard obtain. So KoS will not happen for those reasons at least.

@Codestargod: Man you are either very weird, or having a go. Judging from that last post anyway... ^ Edit: Banditry is a core part of game, and a legitimate playstyle. I see no problem with it, it makes the game interesting and fun.

Just look at the features allready implemented, the features being worked on and the features planned in the long run. Nothing like the mod.

I didn't mention KoS in my post. KoS is the mod's fault: Lack of content. SA will have no such problem. So having a skill based system like the one I mentioned in my post, might not prevent the professional bandit from persuing such a path, but can prevent the avarege jimmy from killing anything that moves just because he is bored and has nowt more to do. Making players value their LIVES more than their gear, adds a lot of depth to the gameplay IMO.

Just to clarify here: Rocket would like to implement a skill system, that would render the players' life important. Skills like that could be medical, mechanical etc.

They indeed share 3 of the same mothers. Do they not look so alike? It is uncanny sometimes I cannot tell them appart. And they are from Betelgeuse.

The animations now look much more responsive IMO, not like ArmA2 where you think you are steering a truck at 100mph. Or a turtle sometimes.. Makes no difference. Don't get me wrong they look good, but resposiveness is the key in such a game and I love seeing it in the new animations. Also about items: I saw briefly at the 07:14 mark there was this desription about a can of something. Will there be a description like that for all items and what will that description entail? Mabe even the ware and tear for example on an item, or how dirty it is, before you even pick it up?

Chernarus is kinda small and has a small population, that would not excuse the existance of such big structures. -

You have my apologies Sir, that was low of me. I spose only time will prove you wrong. I really don't understand why you think that though. I personally think Rocket is the guy that cares more than anyone. I see it in his interviews etc. He loves what he is doing, and I think he will deliver a good game, given time. After all I think we all prefer quality. Lastly I assure you there will always be bugs. Cheers

Hmm, I really don't know about this. Bodies dissappearing of their own accord within the hour is weird and however good the code(?) for them dissappearing is, it could never cover the huge veriety of situations people get themselves into. I say just keep it as it is, but make it traceable to server admins. It's basically an exploit. One though we can't really get around without supernatural body snatchers, or locking people out of servers because they died. PS I like the idea of zombies ripping players appart, when many are involved. Adds another reason to avoid them.

Why not just delete the body if the player who just died, respawned and came to get his stuff back, gets X meters from the body? A team recognition code(?) could also work for teammates looting friend's corpse. Say it "recognises" the characters you have been with for a while etc. and deletes the corpse if they get too close. On the other hand the hide body function works all right tbh. I use it like a "kill confirmed" sort of thing.

Oh goody! My daily fix is back! I really didn't have much to open in my browser with no DayZ Forums, and forsook the internet entirely for a few days... Glad its back. Now to business.. WHERE IS MY STANDALONE ROCKET, YOU SAID JUNE YOU LIAR. I am kidding you fool
