I once learnt Braille in order to decode some message in a Pokemon game. I can see myself learning Morse for this as well. Espessially in an RP environment where mabe clans do not trust eash other in game to do a real meet up.

I think that some things that rocket is implementing will make the SA unique, and therefore above ArmA3 DayZ. Remember that ArmA3 DayZ is also a mod, with the limitations a mod has.

1: I think Rocket has said he doesn't want this kind of thing in the game (correct me if I am wrong someone). What you suggest is like a whisper chat in any MMO, that only certain people can hear. The Radio system is being implemented though to steer people away from Skype or TS. 2: AI deffinately a no go for DayZ. As I think are missions. Been shot down many times, also by Rocket himself. Player interactions are the way to go in DayZ. Also player stories, not AI generated story. This is your story after all. 3: Currency is items in DayZ. No magic currency that stays with you forever. On Basebuilding: this will be implemented much later in development, and will be in the from of underground bases rather than houses on the map etc. I expect more like underground mud-holes made of wood etc. no idea how R will implement it though. 4. The island in DayZ SA for now is Utes. It's located South East of Skalisty Island I think. There are also ideas about a prison island. Otherwise good video. Just try to come up with original ideas, that originate from you having done research. -

Won't the new infection system be implemented? The one where you have an amount of time to counter the infection before it sets in? Like dissinfecting it? I'm sure I read that somewhere, and its way better than the magic insta-infection we have now. If its more of the insta-infection I really don't know what R4Z0R is thinking. Good to see less items spawning in SA style :P It will be heaven to see the rage. -
I have an aquaintance who only plays on these kinds of servers. He thinks this is what DayZ is. His justfication for this is that: DayZ on any server is a DM, so why not just play on PvP servers that give you everything anyway. I can't get my head round that mentality.

2-3 man squads tend to work best. No silly roles that just muddle things up in difficult situations.

Really nice screens Het! Just goes to show that the best stories are made by the players and/or their imaginations. No purposely placed AI or scripted scenes, only stories that are made by the players, and that other players can identify with. That's why I love DayZ.

First vs Third Person Discussion (Dslyecxi video)

Been playing lots of ACE with ACRE of late, and I have to say even the 1st person of Arma2 with low FOV etc. you get used to it, after about a day of gameplay. (I at first was not againgst 3rd person) The immersion goes through the roof, even more so when knowing that all the other players have the same perspective as you. 1st person makes things more intense, in that you don't know if there is a squad in the building you are about to enter. Now when I join DayZ servers I feel that I am somehow cheating by using third but force myself to use it due to the massive dissadvantage I would be at. The FOV slider I see in the SA makes me really happy, and hope to see many 1st person only servers appear. Mabe if the people dishing 1st person play a bit of ACE with no 3rd person, they may get used to it too, as did I. Regards PS I know I am late to this thread. -
Breaking Point is broken, everyone looking for something like that, that works is playing Overwatch. Thats what I have noticed anyway.

I still enjoy playing on Chernarus even after over a year? I find it by far the most interesting map. But is that just me being weird I wonder, cos I can understand people getting bored of it. -
The funniest thing ever in my DayZ days was the first time I found out that when you crouch, look at the ground, press alt and look up it looks really silly. Hilarity followed. Mabe we should take this silly crouch walk to the Ministry of Silly Walks?

You wot mate? I get the adrenaline rush too but that does not negate the fact that the experience in the mod is very limited. You are entitled to your opinion but it seems to me that you from the start had low expectations for the game. I for one want it to be bigger and better than the mod. If I am going to pay for just better graphics, some bugfixes etc. then I am better off with the mod. -

One man's cons are another's pros... Most of these you list except the zeds etc. I would list as awesome new features that will give the game a whole new dimension to the usual mod's: "Loot, head north, kill, be killed, repeat." I for one don't want an updated mod. The potential for this game is massive and I don't want to see it ruined with just an updated polished mod. -

Have no idea what she is saying at first, but I watched nearly all of the lisping lot of it. :P Twas good thanks SoulHunter. It seems mabe we will need more info on what the character is feeling. Mabe something in the inventory showing a bit of thirst/hunger "meters" etc. -

Really loving the progress since last time! Loooks to be shaping up just fine. Its awesome that he has gone with the SS13 style crafting and item combinations etc. So much more depth, not knowing what you can do with the things you find. I think many people who have never played SS13 or something similiar (if there is anything) will be blown away by the possibilities. I bet all of us will think at some point: "Hmmm now I have X and Y... Can I make this? Does the game let me make this?" and "Wow I can make that! I never thought a game would let me do that!". Its awesome that someone in the industry is finally making something that intrigues players like that, and helps them "cunjure up" in their imagination things that mabe they can make out of the given items. Also hope community input will shape the vast verieties of combinations and features, so that after mabe a year we can safely say that DayZ is unique in its genre. -
