Yes that angry "SNAP"...I only ever hear the first one. Oh I agree one tent is not enough to stockpile with. I need 2 for sure. One for guns and ammo and the other for tools and food/water/meds. Once you have played the game long enough and know where to find good loot and have a desire to store extra for WHEN you die, using tents in their current state can be frustrating.

Tents have been iffy lately. You will be lucky if the pack is in there let alone the gear inside the pack. I have heard and am trying to confirm that once you place a tent...save it empty, then after a server restart you should be good to put gear into it and save the gear. I have made it as far as the server restart. I just have not had a chance to get back to my newest tents to see if my gear is still in it. I know I have lost gear in other tents a few days ago that I didn't save empty first and wait for a restart.

Don't go to the game community to find your place....go to a gaming community and you will find those who are intelligent enough to enjoy their hobby in a mature manner ( mature for gamers that is :D ) The community I am a member of has an average age above 30 for sure.

I stopped testing the mod for tonight. Died to someone spawning in behind me and dropping me in the woods ( got back to my body and everything was there...not a thing looted from me nor was the bike I just parked in the tree taken)....then a buddy killed a guy with a G36 sd on him....before I died we had a chopper gunner shooting at us and the chopper was no where in sight!! ( pretty sure the server I was on was last updated Friday so it shouldn't have them yet) Might hold off any further testing of the mod to prepare it for people to spend real money on till the hacking is under control. Though I am sure Rocket has enough data to move forward with the money making full version so I doubt he will miss any further testing from me. Looking forward to the less hackable stand alone!!!

I wouldn't mind this but my little thermometer thing is always pinkish/orangey...It never seems to change. Food and water work great going from green to red but for me at least the temp one is not so good.

A comment one of my gaming community members made drove me here to start this topic. His comment was " I would rather deal with abusive admins then hackers at this point" I couldn't agree with him more. And I come here to plea for more tools for the admins of servers to help combat the rampant hacking. We have had a sever for just over a month now. The last two nights we have had people join or TS who were playing on our server to report hackers. This is a first for us and it seems to drive the point home for me that hacking is getting out of control. Being a veteran setting server the three people that came in were unable to provide names. The admins really have their hands tied and were unable to provide much help. The server was shut down for a little bit last night since that seems to be the only "tool" a server admin has at the moment to stop the hacking. We are spreading the word of this thread http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/39648-spread-the-word-hacker-awareness/ but our admins are working men with families and they can not spend their days looking through huge data files recorded on the server. I only know through hearsay, but I think Rocket and the Devs have tried to limit the control admins have over their server to help curb abusive admins. This may be working as intended but I think a slide effect of this is the rampant hacking. Adding the mod is based on a game that is built to allow players to change things with scripts I feel it is a time for a change of direction in this experiment and see what happens when some trust is given to the people who pay for the servers. I for one can avoid a server run by bad admins far easier then can I avoid the guy who hacks in his own chopper or teleports me to a building to be shot on any given server at any given time. Yes there will be abusive admins but at least we all have a chance to find out the name of the bad server.....good luck trying to get all the names of all the hackers!!! Plus we can easily gather the names of good servers. Thoughts?

It will be interesting to see how the changes effect the stats. I personally don't pay much attention to them. I wouldn't mind a way to find out my personal average life span. Speaking of stats....I don't know if there is information on running speeds anywhere but I did my own little test and it seemed my guy ran 300m/min while standing ( not sprinting just jogging the whole time)....which means he can run 3000m/10min and if you wanna meet up with a friend it would only take 10min if yous were 6000meters apart or closer. That's if you are both adept at playing. To newbie friends...well that might take 10hrs for you to meet up. lol funny how big I thought the map was when I started playing some 350+ hrs ago.

Are you guys talking to server owners or server hosts? Cause as it is now, unless you have a dedicated server the host must provide the update to the owners and then the owner can click a button to update. Owners should not have access to upload their own copies of an update per the Dev teams wishes I believe. Check out the 'Server General' area here and see how well that is going.

Guys on the TS I use joined servers through 6 launcher no problem. Myself and others don't use it, instead we join through steam and get the "down for maintenance" message as well. I am sure it will be back up soon enough.
