You do not need the toolbox for repairing vehicles. You just need the parts. The entrenching tool is useful in Arma2. You can use it to build a three sided foxhole that you can lay in. Would be nice if that was the case in DayZ. I suggested in another thread about hiding bodies that in order to hide a body you would need the entrenching tool. Other then removing tank traps, sandbags and barbwire ( toolbox needed but all things removed return at server restart so whats the point) ) I have yet to find much use for these tool items other then looking nice in your tool belt.

I like the people who ask that you not hide there body in game chat. lol I hide bodies or I don't, depends on the situation. I think it should require the entrenching tool to do so though. That would be a touch more realistic.

Can't they do the interview without making me watch a freaking moron playing the game? Wow...just wow.....I guess I will listen to the interview instead of watching some guy search through loot piles of tin cans in one of the worst loot buildings in the game. sigh...

My buddy and I came across a loaded tent ( guns ammo food etc etc) , we emptied it...put 20ish piles of wood in it and saved it. Was near it for a server restart and low and behold the wood was the only thing in it. :D

LOL...If you do not have a vid of yourself killing someone from 1000m+ then please stop saying you have "confirmed" kills. Heck if all you need to do is add the word confirmed in a forum...well then I have 1,267 kills from over 1000m....confirmed!!

Correct me if I am wrong but I though only the DMR works with NVGs. How would one snipe at night with a .50 cal? Other then swapping your .50cal from backpack while scoped in on the L85 ( the .50 cal will be scoped once out of pack in the same spot as the L85 was but you gottah reload it) and hoping the guy don't move.

Get a canteen, hunting knife, matches and a hatchet and enjoy your camping sim in the woods. That's how to survive in DayZ. If you wanna play the game like that by all means it is your time. I die all the time in DayZ/Lingor and I wouldn't have it any other way!! So many el oh els from so many different deaths it have lost track!

You are obviously lacking the ability to understand that being up north with 0 kills does not imply hacking! I have run up north many, many times....all I need is a can of soda and I can be anywhere in the map before I need to deal with zeds or other players.

Why are you assuming he was near the beach? Can someone not die, spawn at the beach and be picked up by friend/s who they are playing with and using team speak/vent? Brought up north ( or anywhere on the map) by a GAZ, UAZ, Dirt Bike, ATV, etc etc... Maybe that guy in Office Space was not that crazy making a 'Jump to conclusions" mat. lol

I like your list of what are the good guns there, except I would switch out the FAL PN/NVS for a DMR. He has the NVGs alread so the DMR will work Day or night unlike the FAL and the ammo is far less rare. Really? Other then the L85, what gun would you take over the guns in them trucks??

What exactly are we testing now? If Dayz is gonna be released as a stand alone on a new engine, what can be gained with continued testing on this engine? Any bug, glitch or new idea may be completely different on the new engine, so forgive my ignorance but further testing on the current engine seems pointless.

I got the global bad #1233 just now. Restarted my game and I was good to go.

I have? So the Arma 2 engine was old when it first came out in 2009?

A combination of both engines? Can you please elaborate? How does that work? If the developers of Dayz think I am gonna give them money for a game that uses an old engine ( that seems full of bugs!!) they are sorely mistaken.

Just jump off a building ( Kemenka light house works well) or let the zeds kill you. They can take the respawn button but they can't take my desire for a new spawn place. :D

This is not a message to the DayZ "team" It is a message to the players who play DayZ and might be interested in trying Lingor...which is a nice change of pace BTW. We thought we found a good server because the admins seemed active but there were some suspect restarts and now this incident. They did me a favor, now I can't go back to play on their poorly run server.

<<<< scott... Well the admins tell us ( another player with OP and I that went back in the server) that I had scripts they seen in the logs. I beg them here and now to post a SS of said scripts I was running. We understand that this might not be the best place to warn others of the bad server but for now it is the only place I can think of.

I will engage armed players. I will pass on the unarmed. Though I might pop a shot near them just to get their heart rate up. Did that just the other day and the guy tracked me down and asked me to kill him for a better respawn. So I obliged. :D
