Hey there, you seem to have found a pretty neat bug! Apparently when you use SD ammo with iron sighted weapons, or holo sights, the zeros become way off! but this same issue does not affect scoped weapons, with or without suppressor. I have never noticed this before but mostly because I don't load with SD ammo unless I actually have a suppressor. However due to ammo scavenging this is a totally real bug in dayz and will affect game play.

I feel there is a dire need of prevention of logging in next to other users. Many times have I logged in next to someone or someone log in next to me. And have been killed before even having control of my player by logging in next to someone. Now I understand why the dev team doesn't roll back player data for issues like this, but people magically appearing next to you is a big deal. It should be possible to search an area for other player ~20m around where a player last was and prevent them from spawning to their position if someone else is occupying the area around it. Now sure its a bad idea to log out in a commonly stationed area, but things like this even happen out in forests and such. A friend of mine logged out up north while searching for a helicopter but had no success so he went to another server. And when he logged in we saw a group of 3 not 10m away from him, running perpendicular to his location. Now if they would have spotted him or were running toward him it would be a much different story. Thoughts?

Rocket, dayz should stay to a zombie sim. IRL you would have no idea on who to trust, everyone who whines about not being able to tell friend from foe shouldn't be playing a game where society collapses and its up to you to do as you wish, and survive.

How so? Do you really think not being allowed to use a jeep would tip someone over the edge to steal all of their cars and then go back to the camp, and kill them when they returned?

Because then we wouldn't have to take a 10km walk to your base... And if he would have just stolen the jeep that would have killed our plan right then and there. So we said fuck it and hauled our asses to your camp.

If anyone wants some background info, this was on dallas 3 and this attack was on the DayZ Reddit Squad. Toncom infiltrated their group due to their ideology of creating a sustaining society, and being bandits we were, we kicked some ass and chewed some bubblegum. The pictures tell the rest of the story.

Really? 1000 zombies and pitch black night was the norm back in april, before the mod asploded. Newbies just need to learn how to play tactically, rather than bouncie bouncie call o dooty

He doesn't hack, he admins alot of taw servers and uses admin tools to spawn himself stuff on the servers, he also hosts us 1 and 2. Just dont ever play on his servers, tonic doesnt ever like to play by his own rules (see Wasteland). In a previous thread about his he siad he alt+f4s to avoid death the majority of the time he plays, shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that knows him. And if you guys ever have proof of him cheating on his DayZ servers, please report it rather than bitch about it without any evidence of it happening.

I love this mod to death but the amount of NATO/American guns scattered about South Zagoria is absurd. i mean sure the occasional leftover m4, m16 from the war makes sense but im sure the CDF and Russian military would have much more leftover weaponry from the war than NATO. And hell even introduce new Russian weapons such as the fort-12, PB-6P9, AS VAL, OTs-14-4A, and have the VSS actually spawn! You could easily replace the lee enfield with a Mosin nagant, and the Winchester with many different russian hunting rifles. I also suggest changing the working helicopters from UH-1s to MI8MTs. So theres my suggestion.

Tonic has always been a douchy player, if you ever played on his wasteland server or his zombie madness server, he'd often spawn him self planes and kill people who were trying to play fairly, albeit they were his own servers and he can do what he likes on them still a dickish thing to do. Hence why i don't play on US1 or US2. or wasteland anymore.
