Team Fortress 2 is the only one that springs to mind, which was given a terrible EA port to consoles (maybe that's karma for PC gamers everywhere).

I can think of very few instances where the change of direction of going multiplatform, didn't impact on the PC development in a negative way. For a start, I cannot see how they can totally translate this game to a 8 button controller, something just has to give in terms of functionality, or it gets "streamlined" (that dreaded word for PC gamers).

I just ditched my shotgun and all my ammo at one of the airbases. Maybe I should have hung onto it...

It wasn't perfect before by any means, but now it's just plain broken. I got hit from about 15 feet away, and the hit registration is total luck. -
We still can't run up hills either...

I've not played much in a while, I was keen to try out the new build. Performance seems a lot better. I was in a town earlier and when I last played maybe 2 months ago the game was really choppy, but it was mostly quite stable, a few drops here and there, but much better overall. I also found a AKM, I've been carrying a m4 for ages but never found much ammo for it. So I've ditched the m4 and grabbed the akm. I then found 2 drums of 75 mag ammo. I've not seen any animals yet. -
The random and constant noises in this game annoy me.

I would hope that there are new zombie attack animations in the pipeline.. The current ones look a little goofy. -
I would love to see the long grass rendering moved further back so there is less pop-in as you are walking along.

Since my last character spawn I keep hearing zombie noises everywhere I go. Obvs when I first started hearing them I kept spinning around to see what was there. Its been going on now for weeks on this spawn. I also keep hearing the ammo pickup sound (sounds like pocket change) over and over again. Perhaps this has already been reported, I don't know. Ive yet to kill anyone. I dont really meet that many people in game, not too sure why.

It varies very much. I started a new character a week or so ago and it took me over an hour of looting to simply find an axe.

Will DayZ ever get rid of it's hit detection problems?

I know some people may be horrified for me to compare dayz to left 4 dead, however, the one thing which l4d did really well was that it's melee combat and just general physical contact with zeds was really convincing. Great ragdoll, faultless hit detection and so on. That's kinda what dayz should be looking at. -
It may struggle a bit. We still don't know the final performance of the game as there are going to be major changes and additions soon, like the addition of physics and a new renderer. It will probably get better (the performance) but by how much? Who knows. I would personally recommend something 7XX flavoured, something like a 770 gtx.

No idea. Just "you were kicked" message. Its increasingly frustrating as at least on my setup there is some kind of bug where as soon as ive left one server, I have to restart the game. When I go back to the title screen everything is all white and if I try and get into a new game, everything it glitched. So I need to restart every time. -

I'm sick of being kicked from servers only for then have to wait 2 minutes for the spawn counter to end. If you are kicked there should be no spawn counter. -

I agree. For whatever reason the melee combat seems very laggy and imprecise. I've been stood next to a zed, swung my axe and no hit was registered. Then on other occasions I've swung my axe, then the hit registers some 2-3 seconds later. Then there is the zed hits, they can seem to hit you from miles away, or even if they have their backs to you etc. The whole gig just seems really glitchy at the moment, I'm sure it will improve though. -

Things that I would like to see to make things more "apocalyptic" - Air raid sirens (not sure what context or use, but the sound is positively haunting). - Road blocks - More burned out cars / houses - More blood/body parts everywhere - Mass grave sites - Maybe even radio stations broadcasting warning messages (not sure about the language though), or even just broadcasting static. etc

You can't sprint uphill (yet) or on uneven ground.

One thing which I think dayz could use is a longer draw distance option for graphics. I know this will have a knock on effect for players in cover of grass and bushes. I just think at the moment the vegetation is not drawn far enough into the distance.

I think better gore effects is needed at some point. The blood “effects” when you get hit and when you hit others are rather basic at the moment, it would be good if there were better dripping blood effects, body impacts and blood splats when you nail someone with an axe etc, nothing too cartoony though (like Mortal Kombat etc), keep it realistic. Having zeds eating fallen corpses is something I’d love to see, would add a lot of atmosphere, as would having just generally more discarded blood and maybe body parts just scattered around, even if these are static/fixed texture entities and not actually created by a fallen player.

Ive heard the devs state that they will incorporate "physics" in a upcoming update. However I am confused as to whether it will be just their own "physics engine" or if it will be "nVidia PhysX"...? Anyone know?

I take it that just runs on the CPU then?
