They call me Jiggly... JIggly Ritz. #MittRomneyForPresident2015 If Mitt Romney can't protect you from the zombie apocalypse, who will?

Tie Bandanas around arms for easy team spotting

And if you find bandannas of different colors you could use spray-paint to match the colors! -
Don't forget about the improvised bow (crafted with sticks and rope I believe) that they will be adding next patch as well.

Agreed, I have found numerous nice people in the starting towns, and almost none of them have shot me on sight, and many have even helped to get me geared up. If you use your mic once in a while you can get out of some nasty situations relatively easily.

Well if at least one productive thing comes from this post I guess it would be boiling water to purify it instead of having to use the tablets. - Currently facepalming at my dumbness lol.

WTF I used my scroll wheel and everything and this didn't work when I tried it. Guess it was a bug.
-
Also just wanted to mention that later on down the development line when persistent objects are added it would be possible to fortify a house near a pond and have an infinite water supply, and hunt for food which would diminish the need for venturing into the dangerous towns for supplies. (You would still obviously need to go in order to get bullets and other things, but it would make you at least last a bit longer in the game.)

Thats how it is in the mod. The only way to find a car thats not broken down is to find a repaired vehicle that someone left behind. I imagine that this will be the same in the standalone.
-
This is why I'm glad that shooting people can damage the gear in their backpack. It makes killing on sight less of an option without a head/lower body shot.
-
I'm kind of torn on whether or not to keep the spawns on the coast or spread them all over the map. Spreading them across the map would probably help to accommodate the 100+ players.
-
There's less incentive to kos in the standalone because if you shoot a guy in the torso you will ruin all of his gear. Now it makes more sense to bandit them, and I've noticed that once new players get a bit of experience in the game they tend to learn not to kos, as the negatives of doing so outweigh the positive.
-
How, I have tried and I was never able to.
-
I never said there would be good stuff, just stuff in general lol. And if you've ever been to the beach then you know that driftwood gets washed pretty far inland, and is dry by that point.
-
Sniper rifles in general are too OP in dayz. I would like to see shotguns become a more prominent feature in the game, for a few reasons: 1) It forces people not to kos, because a shot to the torso would damage all of the victims gear. 2) They are close range which leads to the need for a bandit encounter instead of a 12 year old hiding in a bush with a sniper rifle getting headshots all day and racking up the loot. 3) They are very reliable zombie killing weapons, and shotgun shells are everywhere on the map.

This seems like something more mod worthy than an addition to the vanilla game.
-
I still would want them to fix the zombies before they start spawning massive amounts of them. At the moment they are just too glitchy.
-
When they add the campfires then the driftwood will definitely make sense.
-
I'll bet that the addition of persistent objects (like the tents and barricades in the mod) will stop people from server hopping. This is because they will not want to loose all of the gear that they put in their tent. This is the addition that I am most looking forward too, and they have said that they are working on it so I am pretty excited.

lolz at the Game of Thrones reference.
-
Proximity sounds are relatively easy to add to games, so I see no reason why they wouldn't add this after a while.
-
YES!, and the we could finally make a character that looks like bill from left for dead. This gets my badass seal of approval, and if it is added my Bill character will salute you!

My most intense moment was on an airfield. I was running to one of the buildings when a guy shot at me (horrible shot he missed every single one). I hid on the top floor with my magnum pointed down the stairs, and tried to talk the guy into leaving. Eventually after waiting for about 4 mins. I started making my way down the stairs, and the he ran out in the hallway and started unloading on me with an m4. I managed to get 2 shots on him before I died (one in the upper left leg, and one in the stomach). Sadly, I will never know if he died being as it was probably his first time shooting a gun in a video game, and therefore doesn't realize that he will need to bandage himself. I like to think that I broke his leg with the first shot and he bled out, but who knows.

Children should not be playing mature games. If they decide to do so, then they must receive the wrath of my pasties/banana hammock to teach them the lesson of not playing games they are too young to play!

I keep my clouds at the lowest setting, but almost everything else is disabled or on low. My pc has above the recommended specs, but the game still lags because it is not yet optimized. I imagine we will see huge fps improvements later on in the development process, probably around beta stage.

It would also be cool if you could broadcast from the radio towers. Just a thought.
