    Stable Update 0.63.149525

The fog is another mindless exaggeration, in reality you don't have always that much/strong/heavy fog when it's raining. That's absolutly indicative for the responsibel devs, no middle may, no reasonable choices anymore. Just another annoying killjoy.

    Stable Update 0.63.149386

Completely ruined visuality (global illumination, colors, etc.) with this unbelievable dominant gray haze, even at sunny daytime... seriouse what's wrong with you? And still that sick (making) head bobbing in 3rd Person view, which can't be turned off even in stable, seriouslly whats wrong with you? You idiots really know how to send the last PC DayZ fans to hell.
  3. Sharplooter

    Where is the Headbob option

Thanks for confirming how absurd and ludicrous a head bob in the third person view is. I don't know what the reason was for this, tediousness? lack of creativity? That consolish crap you usually find in games like Gears of War and other infantile games. Ironically in the first person view there is hardly head bob, paradox. But the outrage here is the devs dictation because the player can't turn it off.

    Where is the Headbob option

This rotten bobbing in 3rd person is a sign for ignorance and vanity of the devs or the responsible management person. And a lack of experience and foresight in developing. Cheap fancy gimmickry that makes the game unplayable for some people. And they dont't care... This silly bobbing isn't up and down like in reallife, it is a left right swing, this must come from a tard.

    0.63 Experimental Release

Vigor (seems inspired by Escape from Tarkov) by Bohemia Interactive based on Unreal Engine 4 (Epic) XBox exclusive Nothing more to say...

    0.63 Experimental Release

Still the harassment with bobbing in 3rd person view and still no option to turn that consolish crap off. I am still not sure if you want people to join 0.63 or chase away... I tell you a sensational news, some players get motion sick! At the moment there is acutally less head bob in 1st person view than in 3rd person view. That is ridiculous.

    Exp Update 0.62.140062

Didn't had much time the last days for playing, till today. Excuse me for talking again about ambient sounds^^ It seems there is again a very strong focus on sounds like crickets or something like this. I really wonder why especially (annoying) whir/buzz sounds play such a significant role for the devs. At the moment every 5 meters you walk/run in the forrest & green fields you will hear 2 - 3 maybe even 4 different types of located cricket-like sounds (one of it sounds like a fax machine, lol), even when it rains they are so dominant. It's simply not authentic and realistic, sorry for saying this. I would prefer instead more variety, different insects like (bumble)bees, flys etc. but please... carefully and decent... and not to close to players head. Almost every time when I play 0.62 I have the same thoughts: hey hey chill chill bird, please crickets chill, I even found my self saying: chill bush, because the motion is to much/strong if you compare with the nature outside. In my opinion there is generelly to much "gallery/grandstady play", I dont know if this is the right word, we call it "Effekthascherei" in germany. It seems the birds were almost completely gone for today, to be honest I didn't miss a single one. Because the most birds in 0.62, especially the close ones who "sits on your shoulder" were just unfamiliar and strange for me. Maybe in russia are other types of birds then in middle europe, but for me they often sounds artificial/sythetic like R2-D2 :-) I you ask me I would prefer also a variety of birds, for example in towns (on roofs) doves or some crovids like magpie or simple crows or maybe kestrels etc. I believe, if the devs want to convince people from the new sound engine and ambient, they must put more work and love in this whole topic. Maybe they have anyway big plans and I just talked to much for nothing :-)

    Exp Update 0.62.139869

It turns out the ambient sound topic is much much more complex and complicated than expected. I think after the whole agitation about the new sounds (and yes I probably did overreact too, but the first ambient sound iteration was very hard to bear with and I think I wasn't the only one who felt this way), we should try to analyse calmly and serene what is important. I really won't make instructions and determine what we have to do like a principal or something. I just try to help improving the whole sound thing. So if you ask me what is a priority, the sound should be never nerved. Because if people conceive sound effects as an emission (in real life they can too) instead of a pleasent thing, they will leave the game for sure sooner or later. It's like a visual bug which disturbs your eyes till you cant stand it and you will definitive quit at some point. Like other members mentioned before, it seem this sound topic will take time and patience till we get well tweaked results. For a good immersion I think the ambient sounds should be believable and reasonable. That means probably more work than expected, because there is a need for more gradations than day and night. At the moment the Exp ambient sound seems a little messed up (maybe casused by bugs). For example at dusk/night or if it's cloudy/raining extensive bird singing is misplaced. Please let me know what you guys think, which animal sounds (even insects) are appropriate by considering things like daytime, weather, location? Generally I would say in relation to sounds rather gently/decent then to much gimmickry. Btw I found an example which goes in that direction: I guess it's morning (means more singing than noon or afternoon) and there are birds like great/blue tit in the background and sometimes louder merl, but all singing seems to be more far away (with a nice little hall) than in DayZ. Some birds in DayZ seems to sit on your shoulder atm and additionally they are get repeated to fast/often. I would be glad if you guys tell me your thought about this. And sorry for my weird english.

    Exp Update 0.62.139835

I played a little, the ambient sound is much better than before, especially at day time. But like others mentioned at night time near towns/buldings the "whir" sound which is permanent/constantly looped is still to loud/annoying. In my opinion there shouldn't be a such a huge difference between towns and meadow/forrest or at least it should be vice versa. A ghost town can't be louder then a forrest/meadow. The owl hoot at night which appears near towns is not bad, but not really believable for me. We have brown/tawny owls here in Bavaria (Germany) and I know the pattern of the singing (always two parts): "HuUUUUuh"... followed by a halt for some seconds and then "hu, hu hu huHUUUUh" Last but not least, the lighting, especially at dusk or dawn is just staggering... I really really loved it, thanks for this dear devs! You gave me goosbumps.

    Exp Update 0.62.139796

I don't know if it's supposed to be a cricket or a bird, but there is a unbelivable annoying backround ambient sound which never stops at daytime. It occurs over and over again in pulsating/frequent pattern and it reminds me on a greenfinch. Is this really necessary? I mean, every animal, every creature has to do a rest (and shut up sooner or later)...except in Dayz. It's frustrating that I cant play 0.62 Exp at all, because I just can't stand the ambient sound in this state.

    Exp Update 0.62.139507

There is always a middle course, no need for zebra thinking. In my opinion lone wolf players need stashes that are not supposed to be found. It's hard to defend an easy visible base alone.

    Exp Update 0.62.139507

Exactly what I think, besides the ambient sound problem. The collision query of fir trees is (unrealistic) bad. I would not play this on stable.

    Exp Update 0.62.139507

I played 0.62 a couple of minutes again, and even at day time there is something like a referee who is blowing a whistle frequently over and over again. I really wonder how a creator had ideas like that... at the moment i can't judge much about the new visual and other efforts, becasue the sound is destroying the whole experience for me. I hope you will be right LordBlackwolf and we gonna see a reworked or tuned ambient sound soon. In my opinion they should delete the "referee and his horrible whistle" without substitution, at least for day time.

    Exp Update 0.62.139507

I am really happy that someone can comprehend what I mean, now I know it's not me alone. I found it a bit disturbing that so many people were just rejoice about the new sound, because I felt different. When I closed the game after palying a half hour I just thought, wow, what a blessing and i was just enjoying the quiet. So thank you, I will look forward with more confidence!
