Cross countried with a V3S last night and had a blast. It's loud, clunky, and a big 'ole target, but it gets you there. Some things I noticed: - Can't run through bushes and trees: I tried and I collided through the ground, jittering through the floor, stuff like that. - Fences, however, I could just drive through like they were nothing. - I flipped the truck going down a hill but it somehow righted itself as I jiggered it. Maybe I was lucky, or maybe it was the physics. - Crashes don't seem to hurt me like they do in Arma. I banged into many a tree while texting and driving and didn't get scratched. - Zombies can get stuck in the truck while ramming, clipping in and ragdolling in the cab. It shook up the car pretty well, too, until it made its way out and flung itself across the street. - The engine doesn't aggro zombies like a person does: they don't react to the car at all.

You basically described the CQF as a policing force. It's not a faction, really, but a clan. And there are other clans fulfilling other roles as well

I don't think you'd be putting the ghillie * over * the bag, I think the bag would have to go on like a regular bag, over the camo. I suppose I wasn't clear with that. So give me penalties to movement and overheating: make me decide on my own that I don't want a bag. But don't tell me I can't do it.

I don't know why you shouldn't be able to wear a bag with the suit. Sounds like artificial balancing for me. If they want to, they want to. They just get a bigger profile when sniping. I just want my scrim helmets and I'll be a happy boy.

I concur that it's been a few weeks. Yeah, I agree that Chernarus was pretty wartorn. That explains the tons of military camps and damage. I know someone mentioned the rusting Rify earlier as proof of DayZ being a few years later, and that's probably just left there because nobody has the money to clean it up (and it was probably rusted before.)

I want motorcycles. That'd be awesome to have one of those swaggy Soviet military bikes.

I don't think it should be a point where DayZ turns into The Road and everyone absolutely has to be a cannibal, but I think it still has to be an option for very desperate people or in places like the coastal PVP cities with loot picked clean and no animals.

I haven't been locked in but I've locked assailants out. He ended up shooting the lock out to try and scare my buddy and I out. Funny enough, I found out that I could just relock the door. He got confused and was later gunned down by reinforcements.

I think it's established that we, as survivors, know all this stuff already and that's why we're here. Everyone else is dead or a zombie.

If I'm going to run across Chernarus, I might as well be staring at a pretty ass while I do so. That and the breathing/jiggling of first person means I don't typically do it unless I'm in a building shooting at someone.

Update: I just found like, six Makarov mags. They're all over NWAF and stuff.

I've got a few, like, old school bags that are like the Taloon. I'd take them with me, of course, but there's going to be at least one left. It should be common to find at least smaller bags in households. Mountain bags people usually only have one of because it's for their sport, and they'd surely take that. But most people have a couple schoolbags kicking around depending on their age and if they have kids.

Reminds me of the time I ran around Berezino making police noises and trying to handcuff people with terrible outfits. I was the fashion police for a few glorious minutes.

Yeah, I think I accidentally duped an AK mag earlier, but the duplicate disappeared. So I'm not sure.

Jails and ATCs. I've found Makarovs and magazines there. I've also found a Makarov on the top floor of those two story sandbag bunkers, right on the top of the wall at the top of the ladder.

I text my friends and screw around on my phone while listening to music. I only ever run cross country on lowpop with only myself or just me and someone else (probably rummaging through NWAF and thus not trying to snipe me as I walk around the north.)

Press vest, stab vest, chicken, goats, rabbits, tents. So a lot of stuff. I haven't even seen a can opener since .49, despite the fact that they should be common as hell. I own like, three in my kitchen in various drawers.

I use the same name for literally every game or service I use. So there's that.

I haven't tortured anyone since that's not how I roll, but I've panicked and shot someone in the chest before with a Mosin at NWAF (he was spawning in at the ATC and he spooked me.) Disarmed him and fixed him up at gunpoint. Left his stuff in a pile and told him to come back in five minutes for his shit. Wasn't torture or captivity but that's the closest I've gotten.

Hunter bag. I got rid of my bright mountain nag lately for it as I play with my group and adopt a more regimented, military style. Wish I could find a SMERSH vest so I could rock the hunter bag plus the SMERSH pack. I've also heard about a new SPOSN bag, which apparently is a large military ruck.
