I wouldn't advise closing the thread. Brushing problems under the rug and forgetting about them does not fix the issue and if there really was a mistake in BE theres nothing stopping it from happening again. If you legitimately can't do anything about this mess, then whaty ou shouldn't have done is act the way you did earlier. That was an extremely poor error in judgement and I'd hope for your sake that you don't stoop that low again or encourage your fellow staff to. Theres been no apology to the people who underwent that. Instead of discussing whether the ban was legitimate or not, supplying the players the means to appeal to BE and letting them decide is a start

You can't be banned instantaneously by BE, even if you thinking saying 'yup', it doesnt work that way, you get flagged, then after eah cycle, everyone with a flag gets banned, like you initiated. Simple enough for you? If you really need to be told how to handle this sort of thing when your default way is to encourage your staff to act in such a way then yeah, I think I'm done trying to care, you are a lost cause.

A known hacker? One who you suddenly noticed only after he ruffled your feathers for having the audacity to claim that a mistake was made? Riiiiight. With the current track record of coverups its instantly hard to believe. To add to what the previous poster said, most mods say its rare that someone wo has been banned for hacking, who actually hack, come back to claim innocence. I want to like this game enough to buy it but its not worth the trouble of an easy, unwarrented ban. Logically, I don't see why there would be a ban button and a BE ban. What else would BE stand for? In terms of servers on a system like BE detecting hacks, they never ban you instantly. They only log you which is what a hackers script could easily do. When a BE system is them fully in place, it insta bans people with said flags.

@diederik I'm referring to forum bans, silencing people who are saying they have been wronged. Not to mention the completely absurd way it was done. Come now, please apply some common sense here you two, its late I know, but class, please. this isnt about me, although it very well could be because atm I dont want to support this mod unless I see some change in attitude. I'm referring to people like the person who sent posted an image showing that its possible for hackers to BE ban, in your frustration you banned them, as you have others here who didnt show any aggression or rudeness despite how you and your mods behaved so immaturely. well, rocket, instead of dodging the issue. And c'mon, dont deny it anymore we know you are its not funny it just pitiful -_-. As the developer of an alpha mod, its you who should really be trying to sort this out with BE. Instead, you continue to show wads of disrespect and being an outright tool to your userbase, and encourage your mods to do the same because they've 'earned it'. You can try and pick up the pieces now and salvage what you've lost, or continue to represent yourself in such a way that even a toddler would feel ashamed and lose more of the userbase. I don't actually have the game I'm just in disbelief at the absurdity of the attitude presented.

I'd stoop to the devs level and meme generate but I'm reveling in how the developers royally fuked up, and were making asses of themselves with their cliche'd posts and now the immature picture reponses have suddenly stopped, as they realise what everyone else was thinking about them, esp. as they realise they're in the wrong now. Whoops, lost part of the userbase, maybe we should act with class to sort this out? Nah fuk that lets act our shoe sizes! Now you know you're wrong and you aren't getting these people back now.
