'talking about' is about all they do in recent days... 'talking' about choppers in dayz back in 2014... talking about companion animals back in 2015... 'talking' doesn't get stuff done.. we all know that. best thing we can do is HOPE they have time in their tight mountain climbing schedule to add this to the massive 'shit we still need to put in' list but i'm honestly afraid this will not even be on the bottom of their 'to-do list' let alone their priority list. best we can hope for at this point is that someone from the community makes something awesome like @simonvic made as preview and then just runs with it. kinda like 'Game In Theory' has done back in 2014 and 2015 on youtube.

well most dev. no large planes.. since the space for the map is about the size of a hair.. if you're talking about aircraft.. so big ass cargo planes.. NOPE.. small heli's YES.. jets? NOPE small crop duster? MAAAAYBE so 'planes' in general not a good idea.. NOW... if the mods come out.. and people use a map 4 times the size it is now? (look it up on yt) then planes would become a thing. since that would mean a 4 hour (IRL) drive from one part of the map towards the other end.

3) Also people need to get past this idea that running around fully hydrated and energized is normal. It shouldn't be. ^ is purely a dayz screw up again.. if you know a little bit about the human body and HOW much you need to be 'hydrated' throughout the day' (2/3 of a gallon or about 2/2.5L) then factor in the 'realism' of dayz (yes this was sarcastic) you're sprinting around (25-30 kmh) or about (15-18 mph) people's hearts would literally explode from pressure not to mention the on average 75-125 pounds of kit (backpack/vest) at least! oh and did I mention its about 90 F outside right now in dayz when the sun is out? so you're burning through water (thus hydration) like mad.. 3L of water GONE within what? 15-20 min (overheating *which happens ALOT in the last patch) blows through 12 points of water/second so yes.. people NEED insane amounts of water.. the stamina system will fix that endless running/sprinting SO it should also mend the blowing through water problem a bit.. but if that is not fixed.. dayz will always need at least 3Liters of water every 2 clicks (KM) you're welcome -

I definitely agree that safe water is rather too abundant. Pathogen risk should be increased for both water pumps and ¨natural¨ sources. The only water that should be absolutely safe is water you have either boiled or chemically purified. ^ this would mean that people either die from dehydration or hunger within minutes.. alright.. then please tell the devs that water purification tablets should be more common (oh wait their rare because its medical) no really dude.. that's weird because why would a pump have risk of infection when you're healty.. most people don't know this but the chance of getting cholera from a pond when you're healthy is almost 0.. when you're not healthy? its about a 20-50% chance.. so that's all fine.. because most people, once they get cholera.. they die because they can't refill their hydration bar quick enough.. (thats about 90% of all players in the game) our server doc. once saved someone from cholera... about 2.5 people worth of blood, 4 bags of saline and 4 full canteens.. (plus an additional 2-3 hours of real time) mind you this was ONE person... 1... he survived.. we up until this day.. even the doc says he was a 'lucky bastard' so no man.. making waterpumps infection risks? that'll ruin the game for a LOT of players.. what they COULD do? fix that waterpump/apple tree bug (thats been in for what 3-4 patches?) so that sititng by a waterpump in the MIDDLE of a town will take you 5 min to refill if you don't have canteens/PET/watersatchels of any kind. because what else are people going to drink? soda? a can of soda should be SO rare.. that if you FIND a pristine one, you're about to become religious. so that's not an option to 'refill' your hydration now is it? -

MAAAYBE 15 in cherno NOW... try doing this.. when over 100 of those things roam the streets, twitchy as heck EVERY excess sound you produce.. 'triggers' them so the first guy thats fully geared, that goes: HEY YOU!! STOP right there.. drop your shit.. *cuffs you* (you wiggle out as he searches through your pack) you run away, he shoots you.. guess what? you're dead.. but SO is he presumably.. why? because 200 zeds just heard a dinner bell ring and flock towards the guy that's standing on one of the little aprtment squares in cherno.. 3..2..1...he's dead.. ^ congratulations.. dayz is no longer a 'run-gun-FPS simulator because the first knucklehead that pops off a round larger than a .22 in cherno or any other major city, get his head ripped off.. this also slows down the game pace gradually (running towards a mil base at 14 mph sprinting for 20 or more min.. is NO longer an option (HEY SHIT you've just created a bit of realism) It's not that HARD people.. it really isn't just a few braincells together and ditch the alcohol content to drown a cow.. you'll be fine :D -

'Tl;Dr we have the basics of crafting, hunting and cooking, what is stopping the devs from lowering food levels as of right now?' hmmm where to start on this one... jeez this IS a tougher question than 'where do I find a can of peaces' thats for sure.. but alright I'll help you out here. what should be making survival harder - more zombies (not yet in the game because the server engine can't handle 100's of them at the same time without huge lag) - more animals/predators (not yet in the game because about the same reasons zombie hordes aren't) - hunting should be harder/crafting should have a failure rate.. so it actually requires 'soft skills' so to speak (learning how to craft 101) - canned foods are the up most easy thing, because that gets left behind (we up until this day have not clear idea how many people lived in this country before the breakdown) - canned food will be easier to find regardless (if you know what to look for and where) - once more wildlife will be introduced AND more zombies (later patches 0.62-0.63 before their optimized) that can of food you're talking about WILL be gaurded by 100 zombies or more.. so have at it.. that'll make it harder for everyone to obtain it hope this helped ;) cheers Tigermonk -

'I thought they would flat out kill me' no they didn't because the mind of a potato still is a potato.. so... that guy with the blaze getting himself stuck in that corner with all the zeds.. was just... stupid.. only thing that surprised me though.. was your looooong ass run around towards that other players body while the guy was still shooting at you.. I personally would have just followed the zeds.. and take him out first.. JUST to be sure.. but hey.. good job killing those guys, there's always that player that confidently says: put your hands up' then runs into a guy with a bigger brain and gun knowledge (you) then gets blown to bits LOL also, nice use of the zeds :) pretty unlikely allies but they did the trick hehe :P -

I've said that over and over and over on this forum.. it seems all the people 'listen' to are the lowlifes with 2500+ posts and at least 2K likes.. anything below that gets swept under the rug.. because 'we don't know shit' according to them or any of these forum mods.. (personal experience) had some bright ideas... NO that's not doable.. because reasons... (1 year later) update XXXXX will feature.. this and this and this that'll make ur character build this and this.. ERM... that was my idea back in 2014? this post (post was deleted/send to graveyard by *********)

as long as this game has the 'alpha' tag.. people will blow that horn in your face.. because they seem to get over with the devs better.. cutting them slack after slack after slack 'because alpha' people like whyherro don't understand 'why' people get pissed off and tired of things not working when they should.. vehicles? when are those in (no idea) vehicles? when will they work? (probably never) not even mentioning choppers.. you're flying along.. getting the hang of the controls.. out of the blue.. you're teleported towards elektro.. 'allahu akbar' random apartment building infront of you.. (explodes) or you're flying and all of a sudden the chopper nose dives into a pond because it was thirsty.. the joys that would bring online.. I can already smell m.

I'd rather have an under-powered v3s, than a 'pefectly fine sedan' because those things tend to flip or explode on impact (like what happend yesterday) sitting in the passenger seat.. my friend driving.. nothing going on.. cruising over NWA... the car drives over a 1 inch rock.. flips over does 1 complete roll.. lands on its wheels.. we drive on... we enter pogorevka.. driving through pogorevka.. middle of the road.. the server decides to FLING us to a dirt road.. our hood explodes.. flying off the car.. we do a 180 and 2 front wheels, spark plug and battery are ruined.. ^ dayz.... WTF did you drink last night? what drugs did you take? what the HELL just happend? we didn't hit ANYTHING.. it just teleported the car.. blew our hood off.. and pretty much wrecked a perfectly fine sedan within a split second. xD driving isn't the issue.. but driving is the issue.. all these cars are broken (still) (sad face)

the thing I'm wondering at the moment.. HOW far will you guys take the electricity thing.. what can we expect apart from 'generators' which have been adressed way before this dev. update? http://www.dayztv.com/pic/dayz-0-59-electric-generator-lighting-3d-model-preview/ ^ this update (6 months ago) I'm very curious if we're going to be able to use the 'grid' in any form or shape.. that spans all the way throughout chernarus. that would make sense.. because we have the wires... they all look fine (non of the sub stations wires are broken and non of the alternators) so it would be very cool if we can (in some form or way) get power across a certain area.. (walks into zelonogorsk, hooks up five generators to the power grid, has enough power to make several streetlight flicker on and off.. or enough power to have refrigeration in two houses..) that would make so much sense in my point of view because you guys (or at least dean) said that not only will cupboards and other closets be accessible, so will the fridges. and with this bloodbag/fresh food spoiling thing.. that would seem the best option to go with imo. no only would this give players something to do.. while trying to survive (that is harder than finding a set of tires/spark plug and battery) it would also alert people to presence of players in certain areas, without it being 'meta-gaming' put into account that those parts are very hard to come by.. they will probably be guarded by at least 10-20 infected workers.. wearing a wrench/hammer, overalls and a construction helmet.. making them a bit harder to kill without high caliber weapons (that in turn if fired, attract the entire town on the player, stupid enough to do that. so yeah this is mijn p.o.v. on the whole electricity thing and generators.. that would make the game that more interactive/intense and addictive like the mod used to be. so tell me what you guys think @SMoss @Hicks_206 (DayZ)

is it just me... or does that guy display all the characteristics of a drunk guy playing dayz.. LOL tries to shoot you.. and you just unload a clip on his face... epic win.. really nice payback indeed :) I bet that guy was screaming at his computer for the next minute or 2 :P -
really nice edit and cinematic, perfectly capturing the essence of what dayz actually is.. not the PvP battles.. but actually showing off the fight for survival.. the break down of society, fighting the infected.. bitter enemies becoming allies, fighting a common goal.. while trying to survive with every breath they have in them. 10/10

still doesn't excuse you from running into a mil base then into the officers quarters 'YOLO' and then dying by a partyboob (boobytrap) so still HMMMMFFFFFFFF I play on a whitelist/RP server Idayz.io but you won't see me running into a mil base 'yolo' because this is not a KoS zone :P NAH.... xD I'll mind my step all the time.. just think of it this way.. if your char dies.. you die... then play this game :) you'd be surprised how cautious you start playing :P we have a guy on the server that plays a UN combat medic.. that guy DOESN'T come near landmines.. why not? because he's about as afraid of them going 'aluha akbar' on his ass... as a 4 yo African girl would be when she sees a spider the size of your hand...

enjoy this while you can folks.. the hordes are coming... soon...... try this 'fun' activity when there are 50 zeds in a town instead of 10.. that'll be a bigger punchline :D first guy to fire even a pee shooter .22 will ring the dinner bell so the others can all sit back/relax and record him dealing with a nation wide crisis as 50 infected come running at him for his brains lol final question.. whats with the low caliber.. those guns are about as accurate as a crooked stick.. almost no shock damage or actual damage.. lol -

BASIC functions remain (zombie logic 101) primal instincts/basic functions: - running - jumping - climbing - (blurred) sight - hearing all these types of skills remain in most infected movies/games, why should a zombie not be able to run?

then you've obviously never shot a rifle before.. ever seen the size of a 7.62 bullet? or a 5.56? obviously not.. AK rounds (7.62x39) are pretty big.. getting shot in the leg with that WILL probably fuck you up.. and so will the items be when their in your pants.. iv saline? ruined.. bullet goes through the saline bag.. leaks.. so useless.. bullet goes through the metal container there's a pretty big hole in that thing.. and it ur leg as well.. don't underestimate the power of caliber bullets. being hit with a pallet gun .22 is very different from being shot in the crotch with a 7.62x39 Comparison of 7.62x54R (Mosin), 9mm Luger, .22 Long Rifle ^ http://www.abwehr-us.org/images/Ammunition_03.jpg -
that depends... if temperature becomes a thing.. then maybe in future patches wind will become a thing.. and since you don't have car noises and other stuff running in chernarus.. you'd be surprised how far sound travels.. again this guy isn't talking about 1 duck trying to get laid.. he's talking about a flock of them.. 10-20 of those things.. if that takes off (so into the air) and that becomes vocal.. be damn sure you could hear those things in the town nextdoor.. most ponds in dayz are... 500-1000 meters apart? so there's a chance that it'll become a thing once wind is introduced..

so you (like so many others, myself included) want something more to do? increase the spawn rate of canteens/bottles a tiny bit (say 5% on the entire server) but decrease the canned food with like 50%.. increase wildlife spawning introduce different climates/temperatures (that actually make sense) introduce base building introduce bikes in the game make fishing/hunting a challenge ^ all this will keep players busy for a few months so they can create good base models for all the cars, so they work correctly out of the box..
