Did you know that camel = bacon and therefore you're crazy because the truth of the celery stick is that you must wear the orange tie? IT'S TRUE.
  1. It's ironic you call your server "roleplayrealism," because nothing about this server or its rules are geared towards realism. At first We were kind of interested in playing on this server, but rules that force robbers to be courteous and polite about something that's usually abrupt, violent, and many times doesn't end well with little to no warning? Not realistic. Plus what if you're part of a Military group and you're a character given an order by a superior to snipe anyone who attempts to enter a general vicinity? You can't call out a warning, and you can't very well deny your orders. Psychopaths also exist. You're talking about an apocalypse scenario, where trust is stretched thin/non existent. There are GOING to be individuals and if not groups that are absolutely going to kill you on sight either for your gear, to simply remove competition for survival, or for the sheer Hells of it. Humanity isn't a pretty race of animals, and it shows its true colours when tragedy and chaos befall the World. In the event of an apocalypse scenario like this, it'd be every being for themselves and kill or be killed. You couldn't afford to trust others without some pretty extreme and unlikely circumstances being met, and if you did, there would be the possibility that it was all a ruse to get you off guard and take you out of the picture. Not that We'd personally ever play a character like this, but having played Pathfinder and done other roleplay since 1998, We can say that these imposing and stifling rules you've placed on your server have killed it to begin with and made it little more than an unrealistic hug-box with players who won't be playing an apocalypse and certainly won't be roleplaying in any realistic fashion at all. Essentially you can safe-guard yourself so nothing bad ever happens to you as long as you comply with anyone who catches you off guard. That is definitely not realistic. Generally speaking, just a random server full of players is more realistic 'roleplay' than this.

    Unfair Situation in DayZ

Testosterone addled boys trying to bolster their lacking self esteem and confidence. By picking on defenseless survivors (and bambi's by the look of it) for no reason at all. Yeah, that's really tough. Shouldn't be a surprise they're not very creative, they're probably not very smart.

How often do you sever hop?

We have server hopped to gear up, We'll admit it; We play to have fun. Not to be killed by Fudger McKillOnSightPants twenty bleeping times and be harassed by foul mouthed children. Won't change the play-style until the game no longer facilitates it. Because again, We're here to have fun; it's fun for us to gear up and then go help fresh spawns. That's what We do, that's how We enjoy the game.

I know you outplayed me my friend.

The game is full of testosterone pumped ego tripping internet tough guys. Their delusions allow them to justify their cheating as being 'elite,' and therefore helps them to feel tough and vindicated. *shrug.* Nothing you can really do about it, it happens in pretty much every game and MMO in the history of the internet. Just ignore it ( or report it ) and move on.
  5. Most of the responses in the forums are neither conducive, respectful, nor intelligently written (aka: fancy) It should not be a surprise that the majority of the threads follow the same apparent trend.

What I have been relegated to...

Oh, okay. Sorry, the forums are sort of full of vitriol and sarcasm, sometimes it's difficult to figure out if someone's being honestly nice or not. Thank you then, yeah. Just seems more intelligent to take control of the situation from the get-go. So far We've never had to shoot anyone, no one's ever run or attack us and the reverse-robbing's always worked very well. Usually We'll drag them off the road and force them into some bushes or something to perform the actual transaction since standing on an open road exposed is a pretty good way to catch a bullet from a sniper with your teeth.

What I have been relegated to...

Uhm, thank you? We think? We just figure holding them at gunpoint and letting them know 'If you run, We'll shoot you.' was a better tactic than telling them We were friendly. We can show them We're friendly after We've got control of the situation.
  8. Well, it is a forum about a zombie apocalypse game. Irony in necrotic posts much?

Agree with this. We usually run around (fully geared with military gear and all) and collect food, then (very carefully) go to other servers and 'reverse rob' new spawns. Hold them up at gunpoint to be safe, give them food and stuff, and then leave the area very quickly and head far away before doing it again in another location. Typically it's gone pretty well, at least for the most part. But yeah, it's a shame. When We first started playing, We were in the first City near the shore (don't know what it's called) and there was a guy on the third floor of a building. We turned the corner, he shot us dead for literally no reason at all; We didn't actually have anything. Same thing happened a few hours later when We were talking to someone in-game and they waited until We turned our back on them, then murdered us with an ax. Our friend found them and told them "What the Hell? Why did you murder her? She did nothing and had nothing.," his only response was "She didn't have anything I needed, you can loot her if you want.," followed by him running away as our friend chased his butt clean from the area.

Nah. Being as the books don't seem to serve any purpose, We don't really pick them up or bother them.

Yep. Nothing worked, everything was the same. Brand new character, started from scratch.

Steam went down, We loaded DayZ back up after the Steam service returned and logged in. Prior to this We'd spent 40+ hours on a single character who had guns, ammo, food, and all high-end pristine gear. Lo and behold, We log in? All that stuff is gone. We re logged several times, but it did no good. The stuff stayed gone and there was no explanation. It wouldn't irritate us so much if We had been killed by a player or something, but the fact that We lost 40+ hours of work to an apparent BUG peeves us to no end. This happened to our friend too, although in his case, he teleport bugged off a roof. Very very frustrating to lose that much work and game-time for literally no reason.
