Why are all vehicles 100% broken?
Johnny Rocket replied to Johnny Rocket's topic in General Discussion
Well I'm not saying vehicules have to be easy to get. 10 would be good enough, supossing you have to fix some parts. But now is more or less impossible. -
So finding a car/truck/bus is already very rare. Why, on top of this, every single one of them spawns without any parts at all? I could imagine that most of them lack some pieces, as batteries or some wheels, spark plugs, etc.. but it's almost as if you were forced to mount the vehicle from the chassis, just ridiculous. I've not played the mod that much, but I remember that you could fix vehicles easier than in SA. What do you guys think about this?

So who's the bandit? The guy who KoS for nothing or the guy who wears whatever he wants?

Ok here is what I've noticed so far until now (played like 5 hours on this stable). - Can't skin animals. My character does the animation of skinning and even finish it but it seems not be able to collect any meat (the only option is to cancel current action). - The same goes with the option of collect rain water with canteen. Character will do animation, finish it, but never get any result, so I have to cancel. - Also the option of pouring water of one canteen to another seems to be inexistant for me right now. - I also had some problems combining wooden sticks with bandages, as someone have said already. This is inconsistent, as it seems to happen only in certain circumstances (which I'm unaware of). - "While scouting using the LRS, I could not move up and down. Only had movement on the horizontal axis. This was with looking, not walking" (Exact same thing someone said before). - I noticed the delayed number key for inventory too.

Survive should be more difficult. I mean yes, you could get the basic gear by yourself but for the militar thing it should be necessary to cooperate with others, even If you don't like them/they don't like you, it's about surviving. Militar bases should be full of zombies or (why not?) some remaining NPC's soldiers, hostile of course. Or maybe with a mined perimeter. The same comes with large cities. It would be easy to find some minor resources (food, drinks, maybe a weapon) in the small villages that are all around the map. But with the big cities should be an entire different thing. I imagine those cities absolutely full of infected, at the point you should try to enter on them with a small group and using stealth tactics, and I'm not only talking about movement, but also about light flares and sounds for distracting the infected. Or someone could even risk his life as a bait to let the rest pass a certain zone. There would be different classes, as medics, cops, engenieers etc... That way you would need the help of the rest to achieve different goals. I'm not a huge fan of communities and that kind of things. Human societies are a lot more complex than any videogame can reflect, I think. Let's say you have a clan and decide to form some kind of community. What would you do when you have to stop playing and go offline? Anyone could enter there and f*** everything. Besides, the vast majority of players won't want to play that way, because most of them (incluiding myself) enjoy mainly the sensation of danger, inmediate threat, and being vulnerable. There could be odd things in the text since I'm not native english speaker, I'm sorry if it's the case.

Thanks for the advice, I will do that.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Processor Intel Core 15-4440 CPU 3.10GHz RAM 8.00 GB Graphics AMD Radeon R9 200 Series It only started to happening since 0.51 that's why I didn't put specs. I just wanted to know if this was a known problem of 0.51 but I'm guessing not.

Hi, I noticed my game crashes in some places (I've been not able to discover what those places have in common) since 0.51. It freezes for like 3-5 seconds and then pops up a message saying "DayZ.exe has stopped working". Is this a known problem or it's something about my PC? Sorry but I don't have time right now to read 16 pages. Thanks.

Walking it's not going to work. Take so much time is non-viable, people would get bored very easy. Maybe if the spawns are changed and not everyone started at coasts. Maybe with a faster walking animation, but I frankly don't think it would work. Although I'm ok if sprinting it's limited in some way.

LOL I didn't notice how many people go mad with this high gear thing! Calm down it's just a game. When you die, you can respawn and EVEN get all your gear again!

I detected a few weird things: - As someone said before, it seems to me that gamma or something to colours and graphics have been changed. Now it looks worse to me. Lights and shadows seems to be more clear and all looks more un-realistic in general terms. - I can't hear my own footsteps on some buildings when I have something in my hands. - Also noticed the drop on FPS, don't know why though. - I found the crossbow on two ocassions but there is no description in it, and second time it was in building wich I think don't use to respawn weapons.

So I reached Cherno for first time and I want to ask you a few questions: First: How do you do to walk "safely" trough this city? I'm used to little villages like Elektro (80% of the map right now are small villages) and I find very difficult to move with all those skycrapers around, I heard gunshots from both mosin and M4. I guees there is a sniper around and just killed someone. And I don't wanna be the next. Second: Until now, the only buildings I've seen are those skycrapers, and I don't find them to have a great loot on them, at least no for the time they take to be looted. Where are the high loot buildings here? Are they the same as other locations?. And third: I say Cherno because I don't really know where I am right now, Could be Chapaevsk, Novoselky or Dubky (or Cherno itself). But from what I've seen, they all look the same to me.

When you play with a group of seven people you can allow yourself to have that kind of no sense rules. When you play alone you will probably shoot anyone who may represent a threat, and I don't care if it is a full armored bandit with a M4 coming at me while shooting like crazy or a bambi with an axe shouting he is friendly. If I think they represent a threat, they are most likely dead. However, that doesn't mean I'm a KOSer, since I've also helped a lot of players who were on shitty situations. But always trying to keep distance between me and them. I've learned you can't trust anyone in this game when playing alone, at least, without taking unnecesary risks.

It obviously depends of the amount of people on the server, but I normally follow a few simple rules. - Between cities, always travel on one side of the road, the more trees and vegetation the better. - Between cities, always keep an eye on your back and the other one on the road. - When aproaching on a city, going on crouch mode, and try to enter by an elevated zone, so you can have a general view of what's going on there. - Take a look to the doors; Open doors mean someone has been there, be careful. Also, don't waste time trying to loot anything, there is probably nothing left. - Don't trust anyone with a gun, especially if you're on solo mode. Remember you have more posibilities to get killed if you are carrying military gear or big guns. - Avoid groups of more than one survivor, They will probably try to wipe you out. - Do not waste time on looting the entire city. Learn hi-loot buildings and do it fast. - Try to consume all food and drinks outside cities, in the woods, preferably on crouch mode.

Horrible starts after update.
Johnny Rocket replied to Draconas1990's topic in New Player Discussion
It's not about the zeds itselfs but the horrible respawn system. Sometimes they just won't stop spawning next to character and there is no way to avoid them, since they almost outrun the player and follow him infinite.
