    As I posted many posts earlier, it doesn't increase the vision angle in degrees. It possibly couldn't. I don't see where anyone claimed the 3rdP to stimulate 180 degree FOV. It improves your FOV though and not only immediate surroundings. If you draw the lines even further, stopping in LOS, you could see that there is quite a large area that will remain unseen from 1stP. And the distance by eye is more than just 1m from character. So, it does compensate. But neither 3rdP or 1stP stimulates 180 degree FOV unless you have 3 or more screens. Edit: I may start playing HC once I get my keyboard to warranty and have that left Alt fixed. Right now there is no fitting hotkey for free-look that wasn't already bind to some important action. :( But as I don't play right now, it doesn't really matter, I suppose.

    I don't think you are understanding it very well either. From your response, I can only see that you are held up loaded and only waiting to be triggered over any post that "looks" like complaining to you. Or you can't just think of other ways of communicating than only going around and begging for people to help. I asked a question why people don't to that - you chose to be a douche and that is what you get. As I replied earlier, I don't care anymore what those were about, don't waste your time posting.

    "I saw 4 players running towards me and saw no other way to kill them all" and "I let 2 of them pass and shot other 2" contradict themselves. Anyway, nicely done. Little thinking and situational awareness can get you far in DayZ.

    Why are you being a dick, is real question. I read your post and was interested if the videos consisted some additional information but YouTube is blocked on those laptops I can use here. So, instead of being such a f**king douchebag, you could type out what the videos were about which would take you same amount of time than posting this f**king sh*t you did right now, eh? After seeing your response, I couldn't give a f**k anymore what you had to say because you are another immature dirtbag that wander around these forums.

    Getting killed by groups only.

    I always get furious when group of Taliban kills me. :( Yes, the game is flawed. Yes, the idea of the game is flawed. There are flaws in mechanics. Flaws in environment. So on so forth. Minus the flaws in game design, I enjoy these flaws. Human nature is flawed. And I enjoy that too. I am not going to say that you are bad and should feel bad because it is not the case. You are just a person looking for entertainment. So, hopefully it will work out for you :) I am not active in DayZ right now but when I am back home, I start playing again and if you are still around, we can hook up and I can teach you dips and bits how to survive for a little longer. I have no guaranteed-survival techniques though, just something that would help to deploy counter-actions against hostility. And you know what they say - you are more likely to survive by grouping than finding your own way out. In group, people have things to teach to each other plus advantage that one of many may see the approaching danger. Alone, you have to keep your eyes razor-sharp. :)

    Why don't people post charts and such for this kind of information instead of YouTube videos. I can't watch YouTube videos here :( I would be nice if they added properly working mil-dot scope. You can measure and calculate the distance by using that system. I think zeroing is explained enough in this thread.

    Solving problem of kill on sight - Vehicles.

    I role-play when I have my gear. And during collecting it. I am never really satisfied with my gear so I just keep looking for better. Can't really see how adding vehicles would improve my doings or bambi-killing. People, who couldn't use vehicles in a way that won't get them killed, will be just bigger targets. Vehicles will be added anyway later on.

    Something like this except the triple mag pouch actually fits 6 mags. Bigger ones even 9 but that would be too excessive. Except from that, and that admin pouch fits little more, something along these lines I would like to see in the game. Also, pistol holsters attached to those vests. :)

    Well, yes. Of course if you want absolute precision. I zero my weapon to 100m at 25m distance measuring target point to hitting point. At that 25m distance, shot from prone on a base, I can basically shoot three shots into same hole (if the sights have been calibrated properly) so I think the vice wouldn't even be necessary at that point. Even more that you can't put one in a use in a game like BF or DayZ. The measuring would be accurate enough though without it.

    Human factor is always in, when you are firing in range, you won't be able to hold your rifle completely still. That is why the measurements are made from shorter distances. 100m for assault rifle shooting from prone and using support is pretty damn accurate. Now doing same test in game would be actually really easy. Somewhy, though, people ignore that and instead jump in saying that these weapons are completely inaccurate while shooting on the run. Or compare the accuracy from shooting on hip? I mean, what...

    Longest distance i was able to recognize object and measure distance to it was little over 7km. Weapon thermal optics obviously are not able to zoom in that long but 100-200m nerf would then be pointless and I would vote no to Thermal anyway.

    Well, if it was on me - I would make it so once you die, your cd-key will become disabled and you are out. And no, there is no need for a way to distinguish bandits. Because the mechanics of the game are aimed to be realistic and that takes it away.

    I don't know what your link proves because it speaks of completely different thing but it is common sense that moving POV backwards improves FOV. I said it compensates the lack of FOV in the game. You are pointing out completely different things which are true but doesn't change the fact that it does what it was added for.

    Where did you read that exactly that having 3 screens is unfair? 3rd person compensates the unrealistically narrow FOV. You can tune up the FOV to be life-like but that will distort the visuals and be even worse than having it just at 75. Having 3 screens would put the possible FOV levels into good use. While I don't have 3 screens, I rather play in 3rd person.

    This thread is so full of stupid that it is hard to even grasp - no actual comparison, huge amount of posting unlikely scenarios, e-thug and so on so forth. Thumbs up for Maverick though, I actually enjoyed reading that post. For future people making such threads, post measured statistics of accuracy not just your personal opinion.

    Indeed but as for me, who I play one one screen, having FOV max makes my vision distorted and I can't play like that. Having FOV around 95 and using the 3rd-person however compensates that for me. If everyone had 3 screen eyefinity/surround then increasing FOV to life-like wouldn't be a problem and 3rd-person could as well be removed. But that won't happen. I agree that it is advantage to camp and see surroundings without being exposed and wish there would be something to do about it but removing 3rd person isn't really a solution as of now.

    If it would be basically invisible system that only improves your chances to do something successfully then sure. Main thing is that it wouldn't make players feel like they should be leveling their skills just to do something. I don't imagine the end result as of now but if it can and that would help gameplay then I give yes.
