    If not drop-down holster than at least the possibility to attach one to your molle-vest. Would work too and be easier to implement but drop-down would be better obviously.

    Battlefield 3 vs DayZ dispersion

    I don't fully understand what the chart is about (I am rather stranger to BF3). Would it be possible to measure the same weapons from same distances, say 25m, 50m, 75m for pistols and 100m, 300m and 500m for assault rifles/battle rifles (plus 750m for SKS) on horizontal ground in different positions? If you could put the chart down to bullet-drop, bullet flight time with same amounts of bullets shot from both BF3 and DayZ weapons and then average accuracy. is the effect of ADS and hip to spreading in percentages? Also, hitting anything with 1911 from 350m ADS or SKS at 2200m ADS is pretty damn unrealistic. If you could describe what this graph represents in numbers then it would make more clarity for me. Also, one thing is weapon accuracy. The ammunition makes a pretty damn big difference when shooting long range, especially to 2200m which is unreachable range for 7.62mm and unrealistic for 8.6mm. Make the competition with similar size targets and try to measure spreading over say 5 shots and make a comparison if you can, please. Is there wind affection in BF3? If not then better make the test before they add it to DayZ. :)

    Everyone have similar options and chances in reality if we put a side physical health and capabilities which is not determined by their personality. So, no to that.
  7. I don't want to type more walls of text for others to read but I would be delighted to see a horde going nuts, chasing me down in cities and towns. Would make it much more immerse to sense the danger that they would possess. Right now (as of previous patch, haven't yet tried out new one) I could have distracted zombies in few minutes in woods and on hills, no big deal. Since I don't interact with players that much and if I do, I do it the way they couldn't threat me right away, I feel like zombies could be much bigger danger. Especially because with right now, looting high-value loot spawns is easy without player encounters. However, they still should be strong. Like, no superhuman strong but not just like body shot = instant death. Headshot in one shot would make sense.

    I completely understand why it is there, don't get me wrong. It was just a comparison of two features and my personal opinion. And don't feel sorry for me, I am alright :)

    I agree that putting random survivor camps around the area would make it more interesting to discover the land of Chernarus. It could consist the loot like low-grade hunting rifles, food/drinks, possibly warm clothing when climate will be affecting your body temperature. Maybe some essential items like compass, knives, tents where you can sleep in and such. Like those were abandoned in a minute, with all the stuff left behind. Some could have like bonfire burning at night or something. Would add more interest into such places. camouflage nets would be interesting if you want to hide your small camping area but considering how much room these nets take in reality, it would be really hard to carry one with you that could cover larger objects than say camping tent. Also, they weight a lot. I disagree with part that wilderness has it's loot spawns if you mean that random places in woods would spawn loot. As long as the spawns are limited to some sort of constructions such as camps, deer stands, shacks and so on so forth, I don't see a problem. As long as these spawns wouldn't include loads of weaponry (no difference if military or civilian grade ones), it would be cool. Only place that could hold weapons in my opinion would be abandoned survivor camps. So, I agree with points 1, 2, 3, 5 of OPs and your suggestion. Having use for ICOMs would be really cool. I am thinking of continuing my game-play with no outside-of-game coms so having ICOM would help. I understand that people want more content but I would expect people to be more patient over it. Content will hopefully come after game-ruining bugs are fixed. Beans.

    People make stupid decisions every day. I wouldn't imagine it would be any different in case of zombie-apocalypse. I have seen pretty decent persons around in DayZ though. As well as foolish people (mostly in mod).

    Well, it seems we have a best possible solution by having different servers which are open to anyone who prefers one over another. Increasing FOV to life-like would require eyefinity/surround to be realistic. With one monitor, you are just squeezing in the proportions and ruining the field of view. I play at around 95' FOV most of the time. I would rather have removed the zoom-in function with naked eye than 3rd person.

    The Czech Connection

    Antonio is correct, however. It is taken from part of Czech Republic but actually represents what it is - a fictional post-soviet country. Chernarus by name would be reference to area that is inside the boarders of Ukraine today. It is set in 2009 according to plot from BI Studio.

    I think fixing reloading issue would be with just adding animation of reloading mags and add a certain length to it. I think it is little too distracting. I like it minus the picture of your survivor. Also, I would like if the bloodstains would rather be shown on your character accordingly to injured area. Also, if I am camping in reality, I don't carry rocks or wood in my backpack. Fire-making supplies, cooking supplies. Rest you can find from the woods. I couldn't imagine that I should drag along a pile of rocks just to be able to make a fireplace. Otherwise, the use of the space in your suggestion - I do like it. So beans for that.

    Discussion in this thread makes me ask a question - why do people think that making of a computer game is one- or two-day task tops? It is not, programming takes time, optimization takes even more time. Finding bugs and fixing them take even more than than two of previous together. Believing that the loot-system is dynamic, not scripted, which determines how loot is spawned based on different factors rather than just spawning anything anywhere, I can think of all the performance issues that will come along. I think the wildlife and nature of Chernarus will be made appealing to players other way around than spawning loot everywhere.
  17. I doubt there would be minefield-scale planting (the mines shouldn't be persistent over restarts). Covering your safe-house with mine or two would be actually cool thing. PMN-2 and TM-62 Russian originated mines would fit the scheme, maybe. Even though I wouldn't know for what they would have used AT mines if it was war against infected. Defusing mines by shooting would be cool as well if possible to make it so.
  18. Fatigue system is already suggested and there is a thread for it on first 2 pages (iirc) Ghillie suit should not hide your backpack if you are wearing one. And I don't think limiting Ghillie suit to not being able to carry one would not be good thing. You can put whatever you want on ghillie suit in reality - even cowboy hat and pink boxers if you feel like it. Heavy weaponry should be taken very seriously. I say not to any portable turrets, RPG7V could be however added because of its great effect on unarmored vehicles but little effect to killing players from long distance. I don't know about mines and such (IEDs as suggested by other threads). At some point it would add to realism but we should ask question when it is too much. Stepping on AP landmines while traveling through the land might not be the best thing in the world. 1st time could be funny, 10th could be annoying already.

    Even though I like the idea of being able to fully use the molle-vest and like the idea of holsters and slings, I rather wouldn't see any distractions in my field of view.Completely HUD-free sight is what I enjoy. Similar points could be adapted to current system though. That is, accessing the insides of your pockets or bag requires to open them (expand|collase even to keep it simple) and that would trigger the animation of unpacking backpack or freeing main hand to access pockets of vest?pants. Having to click on separate things to do that wouldn't be in my would-like-to-see-ingame-storybook.

    Well, I couldn't assemble M4 in a minute and I have used it. I could put different versions of Galil, AK4(G3) and AK-74 variants together in minute or little more so it depends, I guess. The assembling time should be a little longer though. I do like the idea and I thought about it earlier so I give beans for that.

    Yes, when I typed Europe, I meant the Union. Sorry for confusing. Last time Estonia was in second place and Czech first. I would like such things added into game, would be fun spending lonely nights sitting next to bonfire and taking a can of beer, having hangover in the morning. Fun as hell.
