Didn't seem to be any lag on the servers I tried, zero desync all seemed good.

I play on public servers and this is where it happened to me.

Game crashed, game loaded up showing my char with kit, logged into different server but started as a fresh spawn, immediately logged out and logged into the server I was previously playing on (when game crashed) and had all my kit back.

Just spent 10 minutes watching a Z chasing a deer around a field. A, it was entertaining & B, it means that if it moves its fair game for the Z's and may allow a player to sneak past while they are occupied with getting the roaming animals. This was just south west of Zelenogorsk & Brozhino. Should have had some Benny Hill music going on, it would have fitted in quite well.

The deer, I think the deer was teasing the Z, as soon as the deer was 30mtr or so from it, it would stop and wait a few seconds and then be away. The Z must have been frustrated because after a bit he just gave up.

WTF is it with people posting vids with fucking music? Does my head in when I gotta reach for the off button on my speakers. Anywho, they can't fix all vulnerabilities, and if they do it don't take long for other exploits to become available.

The bullet's velocity drops at a rate proportional to v². In other words, the equation of motion can be written down as v' = - kv². That gives you a solution for v(t).v(t)=v01+ktv0 Where v0=v(0), and t=0 is time bullet left the muzzle. k is coefficient specific to the bullet. Of course, you want the velocity at a given range. You can integrate this equation to find position as a function of time. x(t)=ln(1+ktv0)k And if you want time of flight for distance traveled x(t)=d, substitution into the above gives you the solution. t=ekd−1kv0

Too many knobs out there KoS. It really pisses me off and worse of all those that shoot you in the back, don't make their presence known and then you hear them loot your not even cold dead body, you try to talk to them over DC and you are ignored. But never the less I still play my own game, help those that ask and those that dont I wish them a good day and I'm on my way. With over 130hrs of game play I am yet to KoS, I have killed probably 6 people but been KoS'd about a dozen times. Broken? No! More determined to succeed in my own way? You bet!

My spec was/is quite old. Probably 4+ years (aside from the GPU) E7600 @ 3.7ghz 4gb DDR3 @ 1333mhz Win 7 64bit ATI 7770 All held together with duct-tape a a P5G41TM mobo I used to get poor frame rates at times on normal settings so I looked at options for squeezing a tad more out of my PC. I picked up a second hand CPU, a Q9550 2.83ghz off of Ebay. What a breath of fresh air this CPU is. All settings set to high and a massive increase in frame rates, no more CPU lag. Its the difference between day and night. I have given it a mild overclock of 15% and its the best £60 I have spent on this beast in a long, long time. So for those suffering even tho their GPU should be up to snuff find a better (quad core) CPU, you really wont be dissapointed.

Im assuming that the Arma III engine is totally different from the SA engine as I played for a few hours with the Steam free DL and with all setting on ultra I was getting a minimum of 25 everywhere topping out at high 40's occasionally.

No issues here, I'm only 4' 5" :D

Doesn't alter ping and it's low ping what you need unless your on adsl or something slow (over subscription from your isp) it'll make little/no difference.

About 20hrs with my current survivor. Beaten starvation, broken legs, the threat of being gang banged by zombies and have not interacted with anyone else this trip.

I use Izurvive & run it on my tab along side when I'm in game, allows me to tag where I am, add groups so that others can see where I am etc. It's a paid for map and well with it IMO. You get SA plus mod with satellite and terrain.

Have started to leave food/weapon packages for new spawns on the coast. Lately I have been picking up loads of food/weapons and have decided that rather munch and run I am leaving packages along the coast in random houses. There might be 4+ tins of food, some fluids and a melee weapon. These are obviously only on the servers I go on, so if you stumble upon a gift it may just be from me.

And that is why I have started to do this and post server + location at the time the package is left.Would be great if one day someone posts that they found it and it helped them, but if not just knowing it could have brings some satisfaction. After all the game it's about survival :)

I have noticed over the last week that my FPS has dropped significantly. I'm using an Intel/ATI system and prior I was getting 30+ everywhere, higher out of town and a smidge lower in towns. I have also noticed that whilst I used to get a constant 99% GPU usage, my GPU is now running in peaks and troughs (avg 50-65%) in line with my FPS. Has there been a minor update that has caused this?
