I have been playing for about 6 hours on .50 although I have a few tin's I have been surviving off of cans of drink and fruit and veg, I certainly am getting more than my "5 a day" Food does seem to be more scarce now but I have tramped from Novo, all along the cost and then north to Grishino. Always fully energised.

Im currently running with an SKS, sawn off shotgun, LongHorn & a Makarov (I think thats what it called) all found in towns, within 3 hours of spawning and zero server hops. The stuff is out there I guess you gotta be lucky :) Also found a thermometer, the only one I have seen in-game & I always seem to be 35c.

I went from a slow 5200 spin hdd to an 840 evo. Load lag has disappeared all together and has made the game a much more enjoyable experience.

Ahh I see you changed CPU spec to the one I reccomended :thumbsup: :beans: Also to eek out a little bit more from DayZ, picking up a cheap'ish SSD for you boot drive and Dayz helps a lot. Removes the load lag that you can get from a mechanical drive.

The game is very much playable, its your game play style thats at fault. Lots of people who come to DayZ are often CoD warriors where survival against the elememts isnt an issue. I'm not a great DayZ player, I suck at most things, not made fire yet, killed an animal and cooked its meat for food. I tramp around the map on my own scavenging for supplies, killing zombies and avoiding other players (been KoS'd far too often) I'm over 250 hours into the game and still class myself as a n00b. Learn to play the game for what it is, find a style that suits your demeanour, thats where you'll find your strength and discover your weaknesses. My only issue with the game is occasionally when I log back in I'm a fresh spawn, or I get the death message. Its Alpha :)

The char hive wipe is set for .49 stable which we didnt get, i'm still on .48 (well i was at 5pm gmt today)

I have a 1gb xfx7770 graphics card, in configuration it used to show 1024, 2048 and auto, now all it shows is 256 & 512. The in game graphics look shoddy and glitchy now, like textures looking really soft, going into buildings it keeps flickering from Sharp to soft and outside things don't render until up close. I'm sure this is a .cfg issue but what I don't know. Any ideas?

It never used to only the last week it's been doing it.Gonna try experimental, see how that goes although I don't think there will be a change.

Deleted .cfg still the same, uninstalled drivers and reinstalled, still the same, deleted game files and reinstalled dayz, still the same. Plum out of ideas, willing to try anything that anyone suggests apart from reinstall OS.

That's all those Beanz you keep eating B-) (ref to topic title) I have noticed that there are no rotten fruit, potatoes, zucchini, peppers and such anywhere.

Has happened to me many times with my current toon. Doesn't matter if it's a water bottle or canteen but only happens in third person and using the drink all option. Thrown forward onto floor and float forward about 10 foot. Even glitched through a wall when this happened. PITA when it happens but will need to remember not to be near any edge when taking a guzzle.

Yea it's a bit out of the way but that's where I found it, in Zelenogorsk prison barracks.

Starved on exp .48 on Friday evening. Had 2 tins of food and I couldn't find owt to open them with. Never had I been on a server that had every house emptied of everything of use from solnichny, Tulga, Kamy, Staroye, Novy, Stary and I ran out of steam and died of starvation about halfway to Kabanino. Ate 2 apples and a rotten orange all game, just kept filling up on water. No idea how long the server was up before I joined and there were only a dozen or so on it when I joined.

Did a search but on tablet so results don't always show. Merge or delete if needs be. Is there a list of items that are not as widely available as they used to be (pre .47) If not here are a couple of things I have noticed. Rare items. Can opener Hacksaw Handcuff keys FNX Longhorn (not seen one yet) Prolific items. Handcuffs Machete 7.62x39 rounds (currently chugging 240 around with me and no I don't server hop) Anyone else care to add.

4 hours to catch a fish? In my youth I spent a lot longer than that and only caught a cold, mind you the server didn't reset just my mates taking the pith. Seriously tho, when dayz becomes a true all-round survivalist game and everything becomes more scarce and living off the land is the only way to survive then this will probably be the greatest game of my lifetime. (Little sad really but I am 47)

Seen quite a few myself, run towards them and they run away, walk slow and the don't spook so much.

Over the last week I have died 4 times. Not through KoS'd or glitching off of buildings or ladders but for no apparent reason. "YOU ARE DEAD" Once in the room at the bottom of the steps in the fire station NEAF, once in the upstairs room of a piano house in Vibor (closed door) the hospital roof in Vibor and once straight after spawning on the coast in a cafe (the one with tables and a bar in one room) not in Berezino. Now whilst I fully understand this is an alpha what I don't understand is why all of a sudden over the last week this is happening. I play on 1 or 2 different servers, I don't server hop as I like continuity (if I can't gear up in place A I tamp to place B ) The deaths have occurred at different times of the day on servers that generally have a population of less than 10. Has something changed in the game mechanics after the last patch? I could understand glitches in new towns but I don't seem to have issues in those places. It is always in/on more stable area's of the map. Any thoughts as to why this is happening, am I being stalked by a hacker/script kiddie or just having a run of bad luck. At no time have I heard shots being fired or heard the ransacking of my cold dead body.
