    Blood coagulation

Well, you'd stop bleeding eventually if you got shot. You just wouldn't have any blood left in your body. I guess the point that I'm trying to make is that the amount of blood loss should be reflected by the damage received. At the minute it seems as though bullets are just as fatal as a limp-wristed slap, the only difference being that bullets inflict more initial damage. Don't quote me on that, mind, it's just what I've observed. Really my only issue is that zombies can cause perpetual bleeding, as can survivors with fists and low-yield melee weapons. Perhaps an overhaul to the kind of damage that melee weapons do is in order. So a screwdriver or a knife would cause moderate initial damage but several minutes of bleeding, while a shovel does high initial damage but little to no bleeding - the logic being that the former are sharp weapons and the latter is blunt.

    People who server hop

Eh. I've server hopped before. When I was new to the game I'd occasionally hop between servers while in the fire station in Elektro because I was getting fed up with always arriving at so-called "high loot" or "military loot" areas and finding nothing except a pistol holster and a rotten orange. These days my 'server hopping' comes from getting disconnected 10 minutes after joining a server and then waiting 5 minutes to join a new one - so in my case I'm getting penalised for connectivity issues. I've never liked the idea of server hopping, but sometimes the game becomes so frustrating when you join a server and you find that Cherno and Elektro have been stripped clean. You head up into the hills and every small settlement has been stripped clean too. I come out of that experience with a baseball cap, a small bag and about 20 pieces of assorted rotten fruit.

    Since the patch

I've pretty much given up on DayZ until the hotfix for the connection problems comes out. I lost a really, really geared character with enough food to keep me going pretty much indefinitely and enough SKS and revolver ammo to kill every zombie in Chernarus, with a stack or two to spare. I lost him because a zombie beat the shit out of my character while I was disconnected, but it didn't give me the broken link icon. I reconnect and I get to start again. I miss my rice. The update may have also hit my fps a little bit, but I'm yet to verify that.

    Performance?

If you're getting 30 - 60 fps on Source engine games, then you might be in trouble. Source is renowned for being able to run on a potato - i.e pretty much any system. And I'm not sure why you've equated DayZ, Halo and Civ with Source. Or what the '2' denotes. Anyway, I'm nitpicking. Arma 2 runs pretty badly on most systems; DayZ more so. The recent update also killed my framerate a little bit too as I think there were some updates to the HDR. Anywho, it sounds like you'll probably need to upgrade your system hardware. There's only so much that changing .cfgs and so on can do before you make the game unplayable simply from making it look bad; even if you do get a good fps you might find that your draw distance is so low that you can't see other players, or that object detail is so low that you can't see small items like bullets on the ground.
