See the cheat reporting thread.

Its very simple - he/she said "comply or get blacklisted". We said "ok" and started doing an evidence dump in the cheat reporting thread. No one has been banned since without log evidence. No temp bans while we sort out the troublemakers. So instead of saying "thanks" or moving on to some other violation, he comes in and threatens a blacklist again. What should I say in response? "Please don't blacklist us?" I'm not in the habit of repeating myself to my kids, and I shouldn't have to do it here either - I mean, FFS, its in print.

dayzdeadmeat started following US 561 Admin Abuse
-
- http://en.wikipedia....iki/Hate_speech We banned MC4H aka Blackburn for trolling ar15.com members about the suicide death of a close friend, classifying it as hate speech. - http://definitions.u.../h/hate-speech/ He has provoked threats of personal attack, as evidenced by his own quotes in this thread: http://dayzmod.com/f..._80#entry715072
-
He did his job and informed me I was in violation of the rules. We have since complied. Waving some blacklist threat in my face afterwards is childish.

In my IM inbox: Knock yourself out, sport.

So to summarize... - banned players complains of ban, admin reviews, corrects mistaken ban to player's satisfaction - admin explains banning process, community staff has a fit despite admin following letter of the rule, issues warning; admin complies with server rules and all bans are now issued with log evidence in required forum; community staff continues to flex e-peen - riff raff dirties up thread, intimidates ... oh, I don't know - I suppose someone somewhere is intimidated
-
No one asked your opinion. Do you shit in every thread that suits your fancy? You made your point already, what's next - you stick your fingers in your ears and give me the raspberry?
-
OP, this is your thread. What are your thoughts on the server (process/policies), admin (me), and this thread? How were you treated and was your situation resolved to your satisfaction? Don't pull any punches.

You could have saved tons of screen space by simply saying "my vagina is sandy". Do it for environment, dude.

And how am I to determine which script violations are worthy of banning? I've been told I cannot ban except when the logs indicate hacking. The logs are created by the anti-cheat tools written by the developers. They do not come with instructions or explanations, so I simply ban what the logs tell me are violations and wait for the the developers to sort it out. Early on, I asked and pleaded for instructions, documentation, anything. We were given nothing, other than scripts.txt, and now createvehicle.text/remoteexec.txt. No information was provided on how to program or read the output. I'm merely a robot following rules using whatever the programmers tools tell me.

Not advised != prohibited. You clearly demonstrated that I cannot be left alone to make rational decisions about who or how to ban, so I merely implement the tools provided by BI, BE, and DayZ, ban the reported violations, log them and submit them to the forums. If their tools have inadvertently flagged a legitimate player as a cheater, I'm sure the devs will respond to my thread and let me know who is legit and should be unbanned.
