If H1Z1 will have squads and clans at early access why ...
TinUKCS replied to Demonio (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
*Oooooohhhhh the irony. Why do people think that the current state of the game is going to stay the way it is. Please enlighten me about your thought process, because to me it comes across as mindblowing shortsightedness. -
1) No Alpha comments allowed? It's a tat arrogant to think that you can decide on what we are allowed to say. 2) The keyword, "yet". It will come. When? I don't know. Maybe soonTM, maybe later. If that glitch at the AF's is the only reason for putting the game away, you're going to have a bad time during the rest of the Alpha stages of development. FYI: The devs found a way to fix wallglitching. I'm not sure if this only applies to sticking your head in a wall or that it also applies to sitting in walls/floors/"secret" rooms etc. When will it be implemented? SoonTM.

Pretty much everything is easy to come by. It's been a long time since I got the "hungry" status in orange or worse... However, I don't think it's going to stay like that forever. When the devs get to the balancing stage, I think we will see the amount of loot per server dropped. Not to mention the amount of loot per player will drop when the 100-man servers go live (unless they increase the amount of loot).

EDITED - PETITION: Should a sound be made when we log on and off?
TinUKCS replied to Grimey Rick's topic in General Discussion
My god, calm down man. Clearly, there are two sides in this debate, both with their own arguments. Don't call people names, it doesn't help with the discussion that's taking place here. And why does the sentence "Oh yeah, and for server hopping, it does ruin the game. I enjoy gearing up and exploring more than anything else in this game" say anything about him (and other people) in relation to cheaters? Unless he's being sarcastic ofcourse. Furthermore, stop making assumptions about people, it's unnecesarry. There are more reasons to say nay other than being a 14 year old, a glitcher, a serverhopper etc. People have a right to state their opinion on the matter and you have a right to disagree, but you'll have to accept that. Stop making assumptions and the name calling. FYI, I changed my nay into a yay. I too hate it when I clear a building (or I'm sure it's clear) with my buddies and some serverhopper spawns in and kills us. A yawn for example wouldn't be bad at all imho. -

TinUKCS replied to Grimey Rick's topic in General Discussion
Assume much? =/ Look at the poll. It states reload sounds. I say nay to those. However, using a different sound is something I don't mind per se. A few things have already been suggested here (yawn for example). -
Well I guess you'll be stuck on the coast then, because vehicles won't be in for some time. Why do you think vehicles haven't been added yet? Just for the heck of it? It's not supposed to be easy with the ingame maps. Remember landmarks, villages, use roadsigns etc. ^ This, if you really can't find your way around chernarus.

i wanna start hoarding ! whats up with persistent storage?
TinUKCS replied to brumey's topic in General Discussion
Though that will present us with another problem further down the line, namely when the basebuilding/camps get implemented. Players will use those bases to store up gear and supplies. We can't just delete the entire base or its containers because the owners have died because of something like a fight, a bug, Cthulu etc. The only thing I could think of, eventhough I'm not a fan of it, is to teleport a backpack or other mobile container when the owner dies. Provided that the backpack is not located in a camp/base (which will be abused by dumping all those backpacks in a base). -
I started the game by dying... To the rest of your post: Knowing where to loot and what to loot is important. It's a survival game after all. So look up video's or go explore on your own with a map. You'll get better eventually. As too playing with other people, maybe you should try joining a clan or make your own with some friends. You could try walking up to strangers and talk to them, but I can't guarantee that you won't contract a serious disease called Lead-In-The-Head.

You should check the development blog: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/196128-the-challenge-and-saga-of-zombie-pathfinding/ . Very interesting information to be found there :D Back on topic: The usage of fireplaces and portable gas stoves too cook stuff will be implemented first (soonTM). -

Here's a roadmap Rocket gave: http://imgur.com/a/CDb92 (slide 11) It's (over) a month old however. Persistent storage/items will come. -
That would certainly be acceptable for me. We'll have to wait for the dynamic loot spawn and how that works out, though. Not to mention that the max amount of players per server will also be increased in the future. When those two things get implemented, I will certainly review my own statement on giving the admins the ability to do something about the amount of loot spawned on their servers.

I don't see a problem with an option to turn down the amount of loot. Some people like to play on servers where basic loot is hard to come by. However, I'm not a fan of the ability to turn it up. We're swimming in loot already. If we get the ability to increase it further, we can make a domino line of LRS's across the length of the NWAF. The same goes for giving admins the ability to chose what to spawn and where. It can and will be abused by admins. Therefor, imho, those parts of your proposed system should not be implemented.

I have the same problems. On one occasion, my buddies and I came down from the tents at NWAF to loot the rest. In the far distance, I heard SKS shots. My mates didn't hear any. I figured it might had something to do with my volume settings. When we got into the ATC, we found another player. He was at the hangars, poppin zombies in the head with an SKS. On a different occasion, my friends and I went towards NEAF. We went to the prison near the hangars and we were pretty close to it, say 200 meters. Suddenly, my mates just hit the ground for cover, because they heard M4 fire. I didn't hear any of that, but sure enough a player runs out the prison with an M4. A bambi ran up to him, the M4 guy unloaded his mag into him and still I didn't hear his shots.
