Nah, NVG;s were standard infantry issue back in my day, as were IRADS (infra red aiming devices/ lasers) Although we stopped using the binocular ones(like in dayz) way back when i was in, and started using monicle style. As derpy said... im a slow typer

Ohh barracks, i was 10 years infantry (before rockets day id say) and here(NZ) styers (AUG) are general issue weapon, with C9's (m249 same thing) as standard section gun, and gympy's (gpmg/m240 basically) as our general purpose fire support... these would be really common at military sites, with m24's, BMG's, CG 84's, 72;s etc being less common. It would be the same the world over, the standard section world wide is probably running two guns now, so there would be 2 SAW's per 8 assualt rifles, so armies as a general rule have shed loads o guns ;) NVG's wouldnt be hard to find either.

Here in new zealand(hippie capaital o the world).. pistols are hard to get, yah need a special license and safe, and need to be a member of a club to own one... Rifles on the other hand are pretty common, military stle rifles also require a special license... however, an m4, without a bayonet lug, or flash suppressor, and a mag size no larger than 7 rnds dosnt class as a military style rifle. So chinese knock off M14s are common as mud, as are ruger minis and ruger mini 30's, m4/m16's, g36 H&K;s etc... just with small mags. Hell yah can buy .50's on an A cat license.. 338s are comming into the market more so now also.(although expensive) I live rural, going down my road you would be unlucky to find less than 6 rifles at any given house, mine included.

It happens, happened to me today to, butt hurt admin i guess(i didnt kill him, but this guy was whining in side, so i made out i did :rolleyes: to wind him up some. i think, not only should they leave .50's in, they should introduce .338 lapua's, .300 win mags etc (theyre all pretty common rifles now.. and give a .50 a run for its money ballsistically). hell right now a dirty ole .303 is a one shot gun, which is as it should be(although a .303 and .308 are basically identicle rnds). A larger calibre centrfire should kill you if you are hit. They should also bring in BMG .50's, but make it a two man weapon, one to cart tripod instead o pack, and other guy the gun instead o pack, with a tin o ammo using 3 slots per 50 rnds. WE NEED more heavier weapons... not less ^_^ I love to hear the sound o care bears whining in the morning :rolleyes: it sounds like... victory B)

Yah know, ive heard so much about this weapons nerf... but ive never noticed... when i shoot a Z with revolver or 1911 centre o mass... it dies, one shot, the same as before, if im using a whimpy gun like m9sd, it still takes two shots to knee cap the runnin z, before yah finish it with one too the head. Ive taken a shine to the g17 myself... just cause its got a light(ive stopped usin tented nvgs etc, to increase challenge a bit)

Q1 just the server you are on. Q2 Only you and the gear on you will be persistant across servers... vehicles and tents will stay in the server they are set, or spawned in. In lingor stuff despawns, quickly, in chernarus, it is generally wiped with server restart... but i wouldnt bank on it. Q3 It is safe no where... but a running slendder(upright) target is harder to hit than a crouching fat target. Running is fine generally, but its all about situational awareness. Q4 ? Q5 No

Im a fan o lingor... i got kinda jaded with ole chernarus. Obviously way more towns with eneterable buildings, makes for vastly improved fibua combat. There are more vehicles as a whole, but not over done either. More military sites. Which i dont think is a bad thing, spreads the chaos a bit. The prison is the equivlent o NW air field... not one of the air fields. Its just four barrack buildings. And i like the contrast in terrains.. reminds me a lot o east timor back in the day honestly. Im curious about the wreaked mi8's and c130's ive come across... im assuming they will be spawning equipment at some stage?

Ive been kicked for #20... its for trying to attach the military light to your shoulder, so even though it gives yah the option, yah cant use it so. I dont know about the other one

Why didnt yah just install it using the dayz commander? There must be something just a lil different inther directories or such as to why its not detecting it.

If they are going to have base building, and generators. They should put steel mills, and lathes in the game. So yah can fabricate yah own reciever groups, turn that rusty ole lee enfield into a semi auto. Build a fully automatic double barrelled machine gun. Etc... its what id do in a zombie apocalypse! Also with all this agricultural stuff around, im sure there is tonnes o Urea around just waiting to be mixed with a bit o fuel for some large scale carnage!

Yah sound pretty butt hurt.. despite yah protestations to the contrary ;) They should wipe em from the data base. Stop em saving.. but till they do, i sure as hell wouldnt drop someone who picks up a weapon in the same basket as a hacker. Most o em aint that op, g36c is no better than an m4 sd, AS50 tws is pretty op though... But thats life, deal with it. HAve yah cry and move on.

I dont get the hate for good kit? A .303 will kill you one shot, it is a match for an AS50 inside 300. Its a rare thing ive had to fire it twice at the same target... its better than a DMR in that respect, and they should be common as mud(ive got one, had two, swapped it for a box o beers and a pack o smokes a few years back) But then so are decent hunting rifles. A model 700 is a m24... probably most common hunting rifle in the world, i live in new Zealand, hippy centre o the world... i can still buy a .50 on the lowest level fire arms license... but for half the price, i can pick up a .338 lapua, which will comfortably out range a .50. What part o the world do you people live where fire arms are rare exactly? If anything, realisticly, farm buildings etc, are heavily under armed in game. And short o the zombies eating all the weapons the military brought into the area(as evident by all the dead military etc) It seems consistant that light infantry weapons should be floating around.

Yah want to set up, far enough away from yah hunting ground the Z's despawn, then there spawning will tell yah when a player moves into the area. So suss whaere they are coming from, from the origin o the spawns, and make a plan to intercept. Based on where yah think they are heading. The normal o course is sitting on a roof sniping... i love those guys, quick easy way to gear up(.303 is = a .50 under 300)

I think maybe you are playing the wrong game. Perhaps rather than trying to get the game changed to suit you, you should adapt to the game? I like the weapon mechanics in this game, if yah want it so weapons damage like spit wads, go play BF.
