I admit I do use an external map, I think it's not so realistic you would eventually find a map in the area and in-game maps are found rarely and somehow I never find the map of the area I'm in at that moment. I understand why some would feel it ruins the game experience in a way, I used it to catch up with more experienced players and to understand what some discussions on the forum are about. in your Dayz.cfg file change: GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1000; GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=2; in: GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1; GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1; make backup of tour .cfg file to be safe.

I have a Logitech G500s mouse and had some jerky movement, then I lowered the dpi setting on the mouse and I now have fine mouse control. So if your mouse has dpi settings see if you can experiment with them.

I am assuming you already have all graphics setting turned to low, no bloom, low shadows, los clouds, no-antialiasing, no post-processing and so on? Did you change your .cfg settings so no frames get pre-rendered? All these things gave me about 8 fps more, towns are hardest on my system and I drop to about 25 fps.

I had some problems yesterday but today everything ran as normal, except for a longer waiting time when logging in to a server. I even have slightly better fps performance. Seems the experience with the new patch is not the same for everyone. I did start with a new character after the patch, maybe the players with old gear are the ones that experience problems?

I am assuming many of you know Nutnfancy and his YT channel, I've been watching it for years and although I don't always agree with his opinions I totally enjoy many of his videos. I prefer the outdoor and knive videos but the weapon reviews are also very interesting. I understand where you are coming from, I just filter out his political views but I do enjoy the information he puts out on all sorts of gear and in many ways taught me things I did not know or was aware off. But I agree he has a somewhat "colourful personality" ;)

I noticed on a server where sun was down there were no more streetlights on? All villages completely dark. -
Strange because I was able to paint a black ballistic helmet green, did not try to do a reverse paint job. Fire axe I painted both green and black.

I found 'em all in miltary installations so may want to start looking in those.

I am thankful for the update but what really sucks is: I left server yesterday in the bushes of NW airfield with absolutely no zombies or players around, now I spawn back in after the update and immediately get messages my legs are hurting / breaking ---> your dead. Almost as if I were falling. Sucks that I lost all my gear and have to start over again.

Yep binos would be much more realistic than the zoom option. I think the zoom option should be out and the binos should be in.

Thanks for all the response so far! Meanwhile I got killed again :) but I blame myself for running into a building "assuming" no one was there. I already had some invitations to some groups which is great! Please allow me some time to figure out what kind of 'clan' and style would suit me best. Your reactions sure motivated me to keep being a "social" player, thanks!
