@MGreen3 how much time will be involved (as an actor), when do you plan to start filming and what would be the days/time you want to gather? Will this be on weekends, in the evenings (GMT) or on week days? -
Never any music, as some said you need to hear your surroundings. I even turn music off in any game except for maybe the first moments just to hear the intended atmosphere.

Well, I guess I knew what was to be expected when I started DAYZ about a month ago and I can only hope you are too pessimistic. I just hope once some core issues have been addressed and the new hires get into full swing the pace of considerable updates will increase. Of course I hope this game will evolve into what we all hope but honestly, for the amount I paid and the hours I already have in I already don't consider this a waste of money. I guess I will patiently wait what 2014 brings.

Since the latest patch you have to "raise weapon" before you can swing a melee weapon. Before the patch you just had to equip it and hit fire to swing. Maybe this is your problem?

I logged out a few times on the 2nd floor but also experienced a few times that at respawn I fell through the floor, getting stuck behind walls. I was always able to get out but it can be tricky. I prefer the woods to log out.

Well I was thinking along the lines of what mechanics are already implemented in the game to achieve some sort of "psychological" effect of killing players other than implementing just some gore and drama. In the end OP is trying to achieve a form of adverse effect on the player to prevent random killing without penalty?

lol, with buis it's more of an achievement I think. Also, I have to admit, my zombie was standing still.

hmm, I once shot a zombie with one shot at 500 metres with an M4 with ACOG, magpul parts and a bipod (prone). And I am really not that good at shooting in this game.

Yes if killing too many players would for instance reduce aiming capability (effect wearing off over time) or the amount of food and drink your stomach can hold, or speed of regenerating health/blood it may be a mechanic to make players think twice about frivolous killing.

Some sick minds would probably kill JUST to see the gore... I understand what you are getting at and agree in many ways that death atm is often too sudden. A little more drama would add to the game for both killed and killer. I think probably the psychological effect you are seeking will soon wear off as it is human nature that the mind dulls after seeing enough traumatic things, let alone in virtual reality.

Will at this moment a gun do the same? I guess yelling could also have a tactical use if you have no gun (or to pretend you have no gun and want to get someone's attention). I voted maybe.

yep, between the regular, hardcore and experimental servers you can have 3 characters, only found out myself recently that hardcore also has a different char.

I think spartan54820 was talking about the confession of pacific_ocean, I shot him on his own request after he gave all his gear to me (i had nothing but fresh spawn gear) But yeah, we talked for a while before I ended his characters' life.

Any wool garment should be wet longer than other fabrics but NOT induce hypothermia faster since wool has the property of keeping it's insulating properties when wet. (IRL)

I didn't find a specific topic about this but now that we have the option with cans to "eat all" should we also have the option to "drink all" with the canteen and water bottle? Could also save some time especially when you find canteens and bottles in houses that you don't intend to take with you.

Well I guess that is a matter of opinion and personal taste. I wouldn't mind if they change it back or make it all together more time consuming to feed yourself, but I don't mind the current system. But that still leaves the question: should it be possible to drink all water just like food? Seems logical to have that option too.
