I had no persistence wipe on public servers today after maintenance. Could it be you simply joined the wrong server?

Slightly off topic: yesterday I was able to get a flipped truck upright again by crashing into it with another truck.

Just try 64 bit first, it will make a difference because you will gain 2 GB more memory than you can use now.

64 bit yes, than test and if necessary put more RAM in but keep it dual channel. (same amount of RAM on "both sides", RAM modules should also run a the same speed (Mhz)

I think I won't do it then. I would mean I need 2 new modules and have to throw away the rest (or go to 20 GB if I can find compatible modules, I now have 4x2 GB modules) I never seem to use more than 50% of my RAM in DAYZ and ARK ( I have the free steam download from a few weeks ago) seems to not be my thing, but didn't gave it enough chance yet maybe. I just like realism more than fantasy. Thanks!

Your CPU can handle 64 bit. I am not sure if the motherboard plays a role in 64 bit too, it probably does (?). What mobo you have?

No, you need a 64 bit OS. As said, 32 bit OS can not handle more than 4 GB of RAM, adding more would be futile.

Sorry to hijack this thread but I have a question. You can see my system specs in my signature. Would I have a performance boost if I upgraded to 16 GB RAM?

I agree, some carefulness is wise but dethorhyne seems to be getting a lot of flak for generally paying the general public a service. Like I said, been using the tool for a while and achieved a good FPS boost while not suffering in eye candy. This tool makes it a lot easier to tweak the game to max performance on your specific system.

I have been using the tool for at least 40 hours now and no bans yet :) And indeed, I already used to edit my config files so there is no major difference, just a lot easier method. Also no strange experiences indicating malware or anything like that.

Just like a real economy - value is a personal thing dictated by personal circumstances. So at some time duct tape may be worth a mosin, at another time I would not trade a can of peaches for duct tape, depending on my needs. I don't think it will work and trading in the game will always be based on personal needs between two players who happen to have what the other needs.

So I respawned, found a sewing kit which I had to keep in my hands and made the mistake to stitch myself up while I was not even wounded. Soon after my wounds got itchy and then infected. I rushed to a hospital but could not find the antibiotics I assume I needed. Haven't seen antibiotics for a long time, are they still spawning at the moment?

No, I don't have them on the stable branch, sorry. If I find them I will let you know, if it's not too late. It's those small "touristic camps", usually a bar, some small cabins with 2 beds and sometimes a medical center. There are a few scattered around the map.

Yeah, I find them now on the experimental 0.58 hot fix servers though, so that suggests they are also in 0.58 stable. And to be clear, I think the reactions above are indeed all speaking about the brown injection vials (which I have also seen) but what I meant are the antibiotic pills in a package.

Well, there seems to be no harm drinking from ponds if you are already healthy but in experimental 0.58 when I drank from natural water sources as a fresh spawn it made me sick and I died. Edit: oh damn, one year old post...lol...never mind.

Found a hunting scope in a deer stand. Haven't seen Winchesters. I find enough repeaters though.

I just wanted to find out for myself. Found a tent and set up camp in the debug fields. After a server restart the camp, fireplace and all items in the tent were still there.
