Of course modding may also mean some versions of the game gets MUCH MORE survival oriented with almost no fire arms and ammo since most likely version 1.0 will try to cater to both PVE and PVP and that balance may make both play styles flawed.

So will the fog always be present in the coastal areas or will it clear on a sunny day? Edit: never mind, a little later in the vid I saw it was gone, spoke too soon...
-
I now also wonder if it could be wise to do a clean install of Dayz SA? Also, could these problems be caused by bad sectors on your harddisk? Maybe do a disk test and some defragmenting (if it's a HDD)

More important for me would be true directional sound so that if I am being shot at I at least know from which general direction it came. I am not opposed to some moderate scope glare but like -Gews- said it would have to be implemented for all "metallic or shiny" surfaces which then maybe could be mitigated by spray painting them.

I don't really know but sounds a bit like your MoBo may be dying since you had the problem before with your older GPU. Maybe some parts just get too hot (the ones not monitored - north bridge maybe) Just guessing here. Did you check BIOS settings, maybe some thresholds getting maxed out? Timing problems maybe? Dayz SA is CPU intensive. You have paired RAM? Reset BIOS to defaults and try changing settings from there? Just dishing out some suggestions here. Maybe you could do some stress / benchmark test on your system and see if they cause the same restarts? Hopefully someone gives some better suggestions than me ;) Good luck! (my system is weaker than yours and I never experienced these problems)

If I spot someone I will keep a good distance (100 meters or so) and raise my hand as a greeting, I won't have a weapon in my hands. If the other person has a weapon in his hands and doesn't put it away, or has no weapon in his hands but equips it I run away zig zagging. If all this doesn't happen I will approach carefully and say something like "hey man, I don't want to fight, anything you need?" If I decide to run I always survive (maybe once got killed being shot in the back in 1000+ hours) and if it comes to talking I would say my survival rate is about 70%. I usually die when I run into players unexpectedly and who KOS me without having a chance to defuse the situation (I hardly ever run around with a gun in my hands, even in military installations).

Disappointments are created by expectations. Maybe you had unrealistic expectations and should be disappointed at yourself. By now it should be well known that 1.0 will be a lot different from what the game is at this moment and, at some time during development, we will see the pace of changes picking up. There is no real way of judging the end product based on what it is now. Let alone what the modding community may add to the game and gameplay. And yes, maybe we should be jealous of the new players that will first see and play this game after official release without being "spoiled or bored" by playing it to death in the development phase. Can you imagine the adventure they will have trying to come to grips with all that's in the game?

0.59 Stable. Another bug (imo) that I hope is resolved soon. I mean I can imagine with a lot of gear I would sprain or break an ankle falling from a 40 centimeter height, but dead...Ah well, I was ready to say goodbye to this character anyway in anticipation of 0.60.

Of course there are communities that like the same thing as you, PVE servers, some of them shielded by password or white listing to have some control of their players. But yeah, I i would myself like to see a full SP version of this game, just for the survival aspect and then the possibility of interacting with other players when choosing online game play, be it PVP or PVE.

I like the idea, you can even shoot arrows with a slingshot. Not so sure about the stone knife though, that would just tumble around and would be more lethal due to its weight than its sharpened edge I presume.

About some of those parameters describing the CPU type and so on: if I am correct the devs stated that these are NOT supported in DAYZ SA. I used to to use them in the past and not using them doesn't seem to make any difference ;)

Looks like this, just put the text in: (-noSplash and -nopause are optional, don't need that (only if you want)

I confirm what GaryWalnuts says. The newui takes some getting used to but offers full inventory views.

I use a Logitech G500s mouse which has a known problem for static electricity build up, most noticeable at around 30% relative humidity (indoors). It sometimes leads to no clicking being registered or double/triple clicks. Never had it "click" spontaneously though but I thought I'd mention it because I guess the issue could be hardware related.

End goal of the game? "PvP fiesta" or "gritty survival game"?
nl replied to WolverineZ's topic in General Discussion
I agree, that could happen but I doubt it can be completely avoided since it was always clear that supporting modding was the intention of the devs. Let's just hope the game will be successful enough so the player base is large enough to populate all variations. -

Personally I hope it becomes a true PVE game in the end. But most likely the game will become EVERYTHING because of modding. So when the game is finished you probably simply play the game on a server and with the mods/settings that you like. Some servers will be PVE, some PVP, some with very scarce food, some with very scarce weapons and ammo and some will probably have an abundance of everything. The game will most likely become a platform that the community can tweak to its liking, more or less like the original mod I guess. As a player you chose which style and player base suits your taste best. At least, that is what I think will happen. -
Yes you can create your own rules in this game, of course some will not play according to your rules ;) You could play PVE on a PVP server if you like, may add extra tension when you know most other players will try to kill you and you try to avoid them. On private servers the admins may make rules and may ban you if you don't follow them. There are also "role playing" servers where you have to create and stay in character, these are usually adminned strictly. You may come across a player like Just Caused on A PVE server ;) Well on all servers there will be players who don't care about "PVE only", so you would still have to approach them with care and may still be fired upon.. I can also imagine that when you come across a camp and start taking stuff for your own survival but you get caught by the owner you may have to defend your life. If you want real PVE you could consider going to a whitelist server (you only get access based on your IP and sometimes a monthly money contribution is required more or less insuring the player base will not kill you because they would get banned and lose their character and money. Example of a whitelist PVE server you can find here: http://dayzdukes.com/index.php

Funny how with reading one post from you I already know I don't like you. PVE is not bullshit, it's one way to play the game, it's personal preference. So yes Toxmose in principal on a PVE server you don't fight other players unless really necessary. In an ideal situation you would actually create alliances with other players. If you want to survive by just fishing, farming or hunting is up to you. If you want to eat cans that is fine too. Some players will impose rules on themselves to make the game more challenging. Players like Just Caused is simply a player who is selfish and can't understand that players sometimes have different tastes, and because he doesn't understand he likes to ruin the fun for others. On hardcore servers 3pp is indeed not available.

yeah I know and that's what I did, running DX11 and no problems found. So I don't understand the original question about possibly needing windows 10 to utilize DX11 in the new renderer. I am running an Asus GTX 650 Ti Boost DCII OC,2GBm which is DX11 compatible, so should the original question have been about the graphics card rather than the OS version?
-
My win7 pc already runs DX11 ? Or is some functionality missing in 7?

Did you check or try changing USB power suspend option? Go to: control panel-power options-edit power plan -change advanced power settings-USB settings -USB selective suspend setting

Is the location approx. 6.90/16.52 ? I found camps in those woods a couple of times.

Random Events, Supply Crate, Supply Truck and Dead Survivor Corpse

@Pandemic4444 there are no zombies in Dayz, only infected people that are still alive but with infected brains. -
I think you are in a way cheating yourself out of some typical DAYZ fun, learning the map over a course of many hours is actually fun in my opinion. I do use the online maps myself but would not like a GPS gizmo in the official game.

First check in your settings on the TV if you can change response time, sometimes you have multiple settings for this.
