I remember my first experience with the sound bug. I was on the side of the road, just logged back in. I heard some eating. Instantly went prone and started scouting the area. I figured it was coming from some nearby bushes. I heard the sounds over and over again, along with splitting ammo. After about 20 minutes, I realized I've been duped by Alpha.

I'm 20, so I'm not a child. And it's a fucking word.. Every word is over used.

This is posted from the thread I made in the Gallery section. It seems this is more active and would be seen more here. (Please don't cry about it. If you don't like it, move on and ignore it.) I make videos on youtube. My quality for DayZ is pretty good (can be improved through modifying some things post-production). I think making a DayZ Machinima would be pretty epic. I have a few IRL friends that would be involved, and I'd be looking for people here that would like to participate also. Don't expect compensation please. I make ~$50 a month off youtube. If the series managed to take off, then I'd suggest future projects in which compensation might be possible. As for now, you'd just be in it to be a part of it. DayZ has so many Machinima openings. It's still being updated and when vehicles are introduced, that would greatly increase the tools we have. Also, private servers. It's just a thought for now. I made a video about it and figured it would be a good idea to post it here in order to have a dev see it and add it to their long list of things to do. Lol. I torrented a random Chinese, overpriced program like 90% of the people that have it did. It's also not stealing when you're the downloader. The person in the wrong is the uploader. And I never knocked the video or recording quality. I'm complaining/venting about the audio recording issues.

No, this was regular. Your problem was you went in the ocean, while this is a pond. Or it was a laggy server, because I too had that happen to me in the ocean.

I have a lot of that shit recorded, but I'm having problems with my settings. I "acquired" DXTory, which is a $600 program for recording. So you'd expect that if people are willing to spend $600, they should be able to do whatever they want with it, right? WRONG! For whatever unknown reason, there isn't a simple option to make the program only record GAME AUDIO. It feels like the easiest thing to include, but instead, they decide to give you options of which speakers you want to record audio from, instead of which program. Sureeeeee, it can record the VIDEO of JUST DayZ, but FUCK THE AUDIO, YOU GET SKYPE/MUSIC/WHATEVER-THE-FUCK ELSE IN THE RECORDING. So I thought about it. If I can get the DayZ audio to play through my speakers, then have the Skype play through my headset, I can use audio splitters to also send the speakers audio to my headset. Then turn down the speakers, but it will still record from them. Genius right? WRONG! It's ridiculous to set up. I got out of work at 6 PM, and I've been sitting here for 5 hours trying to make it work. I have a headache from the amount of audio spikes I've caused through my headset by combining the two wrong settings. The problem lies in the fact that I record DayZ and my skype audio separate since I'm always playing with friends, and the videos will be a lot better with more people. But since DXTory (and fraps, tried that too) decide they have to over achieve and record my friends voices through skype with the game audio, I cant pair the two up because of the double voices, with the game one being lagged behind the Skype one. I've resorted to accepting failure and hoping I can think of some way to fix this problem. /rant

Second time I've run into this. I load up a server, play for ~45 seconds, window closes out of nowhere and it says DayZ has stopped working. I go back on, load a server, wait 290 seconds, play for ~45 seconds, it crashes again. Repeat until it stops crashing. Last time it took about 5 times. I even restarted my PC on the 3rd try. That was a few dayz (lol) ago. It just happened to me 3 times right now after it working flawlessly the past couple dayz (lol). Beside bad puns, I was just wondering if anyone knows if this is an Alpha related glitch or if it's on my end.

Being a sniper at heart, I love the Mosin. As far as which is better, it's all about positioning.

Crazy, right? Now, hear me out on this before posting please. My thought is that maybe, spawning with a .22 Caliber Handgun with a 7 round clip and 3-5 bullets (could be random) might be a good idea. .22 Calibers are obviously weak and it would have a 70% 2 hit ratio on Zombies, with a 30% 1 hit. For players, it will ONLY one hit kill if you get a direct headshot when the player is wearing no helmet. Hats don't count. Anywhere else will take a lot to kill (exact ratios can be thought up). Now, this is the kicker before everyone gets all butthurt. You get a gun character once every 2 hours (or a different amount of time, but no LOWER than 2 hours). This way it prevents the obvious flaw where you can die, run back in, get a few shots off, blah blah blah. This way, once you lose your gun character, you don't get another one for X amount of hours. It feels, to me at least, it would decrease low pop looting, and I would feel A LOT less bandit fodder as a new spawn. Thoughts? Please, if you have comments, constructively post them. This came to me while at a gun store today IRL, and I wanted to voice it here. Will it ever get added? Probably not, but maybe if there IS a way to balance it correctly, it can be worth while.
