But that's what I'm saying. It's not one bullet. It's the whole stack that is ruined. You end up with one ruined bullet because that's how far you can get when splitting the stacks. Damage to items in inventory will be looked at. There are higher priorities at the moment however. -

First of all, thanks for your effort, OP. Nice job. Second.. This is indeed a bug. The whole stack of ammo is ruined. Splitting it creates another instance of ammo with always pristine condition. The mechanic of splitting rounds is broken. It is not about individual rounds. I really don't understand why you'd think this works correctly and should be kept the way it is. Having a mechanic of checking individual bullets and getting rid of the ones that are in fact ruined within the stack is a whole different thing. I believe this has already been fixed. I might be wrong though so don't take my word for it. Would have to check at work. -

Well the "easy" way of doing this would be applying some texture mask containing the rot texture (much like the other items being damaged, only much larger). That would require new textures and probably normal maps for each decomposition state, but would leave the geometry of the character untouched. Actually transforming the dead body into a skeleton would require new 3D models for each decomposition state (and corresponding texture work of course) and that would be a whole lot of work. -

This is definitely not the final implementation and will be looked into further. Don't you worry :) Sounds nice. I'm afraid it would be pretty hard to do though. -

Pick one. Anyway. Permadeath is an intended part of the game. If you could just run over and get all your loot back (which is still possible in some cases) that wouldn't be permadeath now would it?- 45 replies

Technically speaking they would spawn no matter where they come from.

Hi, not just yet. Raw steaks are currently in the build, but do not spawn in the world as they are waiting for other assets to be finished. It's coming soon though :)

Like I said, that was entirely my opinion as a player. I said that in reaction to the person who said that exploiting is fair game. I don't think people should be banned because they unintentionally glitch through the floor. You should have some "settle down" pie. ;) -

I definitely do not agree with this. There are other games that will ban you if you use an exploit once it was publicly acknowledged and pointed out by the company. I say this as a player, not a dev. As a dev I can tell you that both item cloning and "gearception" are being worked on. We are aware of the issues. -
These zombies came from the dead bodies of the infamous Elektro snipers. Somehow, despite their turning, they still seek high vantage points. Good thing they at least don't remember how to use guns anymore.

I never really worn the gasmasks because of them clipping all over the place. I like my character looking nice. NZ beret + rocket (endgame) aviators Mhmmmmmm :lol: But yeah, I KOS gasmaks wearers. They be scary.

To get noticed, the best thing you can do is write something constructive, coherent and to the point. Upvotes dont really matter. Don't duplicate reports either. Boxes of ammo can't be fitted into ammo boxes anymore. That is intended.

I have a feeling they would not necessarily tell an invisible entity how it is they are using an exploit to gain an advantage over other players. :) That's why I'm asking around here ;)

Hmm.. I'll check this out, although if anyone could describe how to get into that state, that would be great. Cheers, friend! My colleague Kira was able to reproduce this and we've already assigned it to the person responsible for fixing this. Check the FT issue from time to time for info. Will check the broken arms out.

Hi, it's possible that there is a glitch in the drivers themselves. Try rolling back to an earlier version and see if that fixes anything. If the issue persists please submit a report to the feedback tracker (link in signature) along with files found in this folder: C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\DayZ\ Feel free to PM me the link to the issue and I will look into it.

Hi. Are you playing on a laptop by any chance. Some laptops have these functions (lightening, darkening the screen) bound to the function keys

That's alright. Appreciated! It's possible they logged out inside the building before the fix and are now stuck inside. I haven't been able to get inside myself and neither were the rest of our test guys. If they do still get inside it's that "how" that we need to know.

Slinding under hangars is no longer possible. Glitching into the jail building has also been adjusted. That was a different issue and has been fixed. I was not able to reproduce the burlap sack, but will look into it. Have not seen a report of the other issue however. If you could submit that onto the Feedback Tracker, that would be awesome.
