Having almost no infected on the .58 experimental branch servers it feels like there´s too much food around. Having hordes roaming that feeling might change even without changing food spawn settings. -

Try to drag the pot on the fireplace tab (not the free inventory slots of the fireplace). It should give you an "add" option like when you're dragging item over item to craft things.edit: Damn you, Mr. Lowe ;-)

1st person camera height already got adjusted with .55 hitting, iirc. You now look with your eyes instead of your throat. Hopefully the new 3rd person camera makes it's way fast in the upcoming builds. My biggest hope is that the new 3rd camera does minimalize any penalties compared with 1st person and we can all play the same servers. Regarding Gews thoughts, maybe dimensions of buildings and interior will get some love further down the road.

I wish experimental didnt go down, i was so ready to find a bandit with a vss or svd and shoot him down for justice and what not, i had a grey v3s truck and everyrthang... Oh and i got into it by crawling underneath it and looking up (i only play in first person so try that too) it worked all five times i tried, but when the doors left open the icon shows up like normal without having to lay down... It´s the same with the green ones

Seitan, if you would read about development of this game first instead of wasting your time writing garbage, you would know that the old engine has it's problems solving too much animations at the same time and will get replaced because of it's limits. As to your foraging concerns, I don't know of an official statement but seeing how detailed the devs want to go regarding other features I'd highly doubt current foraging will stay as it's now.

I keep randomly losing items by dropping something on the ground(maybe desync?) or switching clothes(inventory changes?), however it´s so random that I can´t reproduce it. Taking items in your hands free up space in the inventory is a good change. Infected had footstep SFX when walking on metal only, the movement of infected AI is so slow I feel you could outcrawl them. Can´t wait to get some meat on this one: Anybody elese got this message popping up on quitting the game? edit: Anybody recognized the "Rocky Balboa Knifefight" idle animation on the startup screen when your avatar has a slash weapon only?

Appreciate your time and effort spent to analyse the alpha development of DayZ so far. You don't have to worry about YOU seeing the game turning into a "hobo simulator", once modding is available YOU can build whatever DayZish game YOU want.

It´s not about patience BCBasher, don´t get me wrong. I love to have some xtra gear ready. Long story short, last character made it to Veresnik MB. It´s been a struggle, surviving by berry picking etc, arrived in that base with my shabby cloths and a child backpack full of crap. But once I´ve been there, it was like !LOL!. AK variants all over the place (counted more than ten) including mags and ammo, food for days. You name it. IMO it´s just absurd having bases/stashes existing based on that failure.

As it stands right now there's no persistance/public hive wipes planned, which will put the players not stashing all that loot on a serious disadvantage. I find myself not spending that much time in game for obvious reasons, it's just boring. Hopefully they consider equalising Chernarus again when .56 kicks in.

I've had this sh1t happening on an experimental build when they introduced the new startmenu. As we were forced into the new menu, the startup parameter "-oldui"(iirc) fixed it for me... -
Well, BIS bought Cauldron, the dudes/dudettes that made "Cabela Hunting Games". Whilst said hunting games are pretty arcadey I think they'll add real cool stuff in DayZ.
