    Two sentences: Firstly, 1.7.2.5 will not come out (it will be 1.7.3) Secondly, WOOF WOOF.

THE PROPOSAL: - When you look directly at someone closeby who has VERY low humanity, you hear a heartbeat noise. - Lower the humanity, the louder the sound. - Distance away decreases the sound. - Humanity is no longer listed in the Debug monitor. - Humanity is no longer a HUD item. - Ergo, you don't know your humanity level directly, i.e. you don't know how others will perceive you. SOME NOTES: I asked around after work and we had a discussion. This is what we came up with. I think it's pretty cool, because it puts some of the uncertainty onto those with low humanity and is a fairly passive mechanic. It is an attempt to model the subtle ways you perceive how people are and what they have done. Maybe some blood on their face, the way their eyes are darting, sweat on their forehead. Think about the Bar Scene in the walking dead (SPOILER: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1ZOOnovCwU), how did Rick know they were bad? If you study the script you don't see the tension, the little things. This is what I am trying to model. If this works, MAYBE we expand it a bit, maybe the bigger the group of people around you the more this effect becomes aparent. Or the longer you're alive the better you get, or something.
  3. Due to constant and sustained hacking, the central server has been dropped to prevent any further degradation of service to DayZ players, and safeguard any corruption of player data. It is now being bought back online. BattlEye is processing an update for all servers. We're sorry for the delay, and the problems people experienced. TO CONFIRM: SERVER IS BACK ONLINE AND UPDATE HAS BEEN RELEASED We got info from BE that those who have previously been using hacks have received a GLOBAL BAN via BattlEye. Yes, that's right. You just bricked your copy of ArmA2 in multiplayer.

    Eliminating duping in the mod is impossible. I can improve things better than they are, but this must be solved in the engine source.

  12. 1.7.2.5 is being worked on this week to address issues in this thread.
  13. It will throw that error if it can't detect BattlEye running on the server. Check it is running.
  14. For those stuck on loading screen: 1. It is either because the server is very busy with requests (latency to central server high) - solution is just to wait 2. The server is not running BattlEye (will not work without battleye enabled) 3. Installation of the @hive server addon is not correct. Make sure ALL required dll's are installed, not just the hiveEXT.dll 4. Not running 1.62 with beta.

As I said before, the mod is in closed testing with the DayZ Community Support team (volunteers from you guys). Hopefully they isolate the big issues so I can fix them before I roll it out. I hope later tonight. P.P.S. The target date change was a joke ;)
