    Bandit skin is awesome

    so they took KSK headwear and attached it to PMC model.. okay sounds interesting. surprized that rocket finaly decided to bring humanity system back and i'm very glad he did so. for all these people who actually whine about having bandit skins don't worry: you asked for pvp - you got it.
  2. main issue is meta gaming. it destroy whole dayz experience. but 99% of people will never accept that and would not endanger themselves, take riscs like playing alone without friends, and it takes out random encounters element. on early stages of dayz when it wasn't so popular, it was a bit more intriguing and thrilling, when encountering another survivour there were 3 options: kos, group up, move along. people don't want to be endangered so they play with friends. so you are completely right.

    Weapon Damage Re-upped

    that's a surprise for arma players aswell. this changing of values should not EVER affected the core game, guys, look DAYZ weapons were nerfed in CORE game instead of mod. we don't like these changes and sure as hell we want default values back. it's clearly that damage was nerfed only for weapons that used in dayz. not for realism sake, and heck, why the heck change weapons values so sudden on 1.62. not 1.01 or 1.02 ? loosing respect to BIS.

  5. only arma 2 beta patches can solve these issues. -_-' when you see 20 pages of whining at one forum section and same at another, while patch make things as it supposed to work you can loose some temper a bit. i do atleast. and well, i have no respect to people that come here and whine that zombies become dangerous instead of being decoration that you can simply ignore. It make a bit more sense to group up now, but still i'ts quite fine for loneywolfing.
  6. to start with: i didn't experience instant leg brake by zombies yet, this is why i didn't comment it yet. My comments aren't unreasonable. Zombies have eyes and they must see players. and what we have now is quite alright. From my experience in arma series soldiers can spot you on distance 100-200 meters in other words if you see them - they can see you aswell. Current zombie FOV is just fine. they can spot you on 5-30 meters if you aren't sneaking. i.e. you run crouching next to zombies. That was hilarious that they can't see you like that. now they can and people start to bitch because they need to get used to new zombies. i played 1.7.2 on expert yesterday and today. zombies are not overpowered and they have no "eagle eyes" current FOV is okay. visited cherno already. if you have some problem with me personally feel free to pm me.

    Don't move DayZ to Arma 3

    hi there fellow armaholic. anyway, i STILL belive that dayz should be standalone game. lots of people see it only as platform for dayz, what is rather sad. And i don't want to experience same situation with server list flooded with dayz mod, nor i want to see all this crap that you can find on dayz forums go to BI forums if it will be mod / addon. Let them have dayz and let us have arma 3.
  8. a poll? thats obvious what majority wants. But it doesn't mean it should be that way. zombies MUST be a treat in zombie survival game. atm zombies are they way it should be.
  9. see if i care, really. here goes 20 pages of whining about zombies can actually see something instead of being blind. and same or even more on patch announcement thread, while it's the way it should be. feel free to ignore this one aswell. I guess your opinion really matter for me, since instead of commenting on my post content you decided to comment the way i posted. Feel free to lecture me. EDIT: on topic: fall from tower twice and broke my leg only on second time. seems like bone breaking was significantly reduced.
  10. ah come on guys. zombies finally got eyes anyhow and you need to pay attention to zombies. FINALLY. if some of you think that "OMG! THIS IS TOO HARD! I CAN'T PLAY! I WANT PVP WITH ZOMBIES AS DECORATION NOT A THREAT!" i may suggest only to go fuck yourself play arma 2. compared to armed crowd of insurgents/soldiers/armored vericles planes and artillery that goes mad on you when you assault the town, zombies are nothing more then a joke. and heck, i play it on expert without any trouble. now zombies can finally see something. and this isn't overpowered by any means. I PLAYED ON EXPERT 1.7.2 JUST YESTERDAY AND EVERYTHING IS FINE. on previous patch it was too easy to sneak upon zombies and no1 really gave a dam about them, since only treat was players. if you are got used to stand/lie next to zombies without getting noticed thats your own fucking problem. man up ffs. it's about time zombies become a bit more dangerous. get used to. adapt/evolve/ and stop whining ffs.

  13. i just played on server with expert difficulty and heck, guys what are you even complain about? zombies are still not THAT dangerous to complain lol. starting without gear aswell, and my old character died in building for soem weird reason. but still zombies are just zombies. compared to crowd of armed insurgents that pin you down with supressing fire and outflank you thats nothing to complain about.

  19. as expected, people don't bother to read the thread and jump in posting "don't like it - don't play it" ; "delitious tears" and such, but no matter how much you will circle-jerk that dayz is awesome and if anyone tell you different they are noobs/carebears/whatever else you can't deny the fact that game seriously lacking cooperation. as i posted before, and since no1 bother to read the thread they post in, i will quote part of it.

  22. @p1n34l: you really missed my point. most likely you didn't even read what i wrote. okay, since we had to deal with people who can't read/think i will explain it. "how or why are they invalid? that was the original intent of the mod from the start, " it wasn't original intent from start that people can group up only on forum or with friends irl. what was here before: the charm was always that you try to survive, encounter random strangers and that was fun. sometimes they killed you, sometimes you were hanging and making a group just from random guys, go for some better loot, encounter another group of random players and kill each other or keep it civil. that was thrilling. this is how game should actually work, but with recent hype and people using ts, skype/whatever this breaking immersion completely. and this is not the way mod should work like. "the players make the game, the dev's do not want to nor should they enforce rules or script in rules to encourage or discourage player behavior." ofcause, i'm all up for players make their game, but there is nothing to make at the moment: a tent, cars, heli. and thats all. you can't do much here. try out Warfare mission for Arma. jsut to give you an idea that players should be able to build their own camps / fortification and stuff and stuff. RPG element is essencial if you imply that game is zombie survivour simulator. i'm not talking about classes but some basic crafting/building will be quite handy. atm the game is empty and you can't do much. thats it, no matter if you think otherwise. try other mods then dayz. even some crappy RP servers chenarus life or takistan life to have an idea what can be implemented here. when person tell that dayz is great and stuff it means that he never experienced other arma game modes and mods. i'm not even talking about milsim part, may be if you never experienced arma, dayz may be somethig eyeopening for you, but the true is that dayz is quite mediocre compared to what you can find out here, but people keep turning fanboy mode on and don't want to try anything else. your choise. i don't care less. to make this mod good there should be more features, and not only survival mechanics. "read the quotes i posted (that are broken cause i'm retarded and will fix after posting this), they are from ages ago." i'm around here for quite awhile so i read all of these quotes, no need to c/p it over and over again, better learn to read and understand what other people mean in their posts rather then "start me off" with quotes, since it doesn't help the case of current discussion. the game is empty right now. survival mechanics + dm. nothing more or less. thats a fact. try other mods RP mods for example and you will see that dayz have petential to be something good. and yeah, i'm against using ts/skype/side channel since it breaks immersion.

    err there were zombie mods for ofp 2001, arma 1, arma 2 BEFORE dayz. and some of em are better then dayz. the only thing dayz unique is that character data is saving. thats the only thing why mod is "unique"

  25. err guys, op is actually right that this is dm with zombies. at current mod state atleast. arguments about "you should go on forum / get friends playing with you" are invalid. game must be okay without having to drag frinds / use forum etc. what break immersion. i personally loneywolfing all the time, so thats not a problem for me. earlier with bandits/survivours skins it was a bit better, since survivours were grouping together rather easy, not perfect ofcause but still, so it wasn't like kill on sight all the time. ofcause there is no need in bandits skins but there should be some rpg mechanics, or rather dangerous environment. atm mod really lack the need of cooperation. thats the main problem.
