i think the op is pointless because you are just another topic comparing a mod of arma 2, to a new game, which is being built, which is a poor comparison. what i do in dayz sa, since yoru asking, is move around the map on busy servers, trying not to get killed, alone or sometimes with friends. sa looks amazing, and you can actually go in most of the buildings, it doesnt have the humanity (which i cant stand), and when i bought it i knew it was going to be in alpha for a long time.. again, comparing an arma 2 mod, to as game thats being built, i only see naive rage here

haha what?? i cant stand the invisible zombie lag, if that was made to happen on purpose, it would be the worst ever thing that could be in dayz or any previous pc game, maybe youre just joking about the in game current situation tho op, im not sure haha

op didnt say it was easy to survive he said he stayed super recon, because he didnt wana die, due to the situation he was in, that he described

i dont keep up with all the dev blogs and that, i just play the game. and read forum. so actually im a bit suprised to read in forums today, it looks like in future , we will be able to die, and then run back to any location to get the storage container we saved before we died, i thought dayz was a survival game, and i cant see how this fits into dayz sa concept. because it destroys the value of a characters life, it makes it arcade style so you can just carry on with good kit. i was hoping that as time goes on with the standalone , item spawning will be reduced, so its more difficult to stay alive, and items will have increased value because of this. so maybe it would make sense to be able to store items(while alive). having said that, storage of items, that continues after you die, so you can just carry on the same life essentially, is not why i am playing dayz. i dont fully dislike being able to store items, id store a different rifle and meds etc, it would be useful . although if i die, i think that my storage should disappear from the game too, to simulate me being a new character, and not knowing where some dead guy left his kit. when you die you should start new, no storage container, no easy mode. just death, and new spawn. this would favour players who game with others, as the new spawn can get spare kit from the alive players storage, because of this, maybe the whole concept of item storage may not be good for the game, in my view. i guess some people will hate what im saying, but i reckon some of the more simulator or "difficulty fan" players may know what i mean, or am i alone in wanting realism/authentic and difficulty on this storage subject? thanks for any constructive reply

anyone whos posting in here defending server hopping in even the slightest way, or saying its the only way to get loot is a clueless noob hahah, sry but its true
-
while it would be nice if people would voice chat more often, this suggestion would not make people speak in game if they dont want to, it would just force them to confirm they have a mic.
-
i agree with suggestion, and do expect to see it fixed in future
-
yep, i think most of what you mentioned in op is not added into game yet, if u want to clean woulds or sterilize, right click alcohol or drag it over items, it wont make any difference yet

jeans, tshirt, rifle, 20 rounds, rags, morphine stick, binos, endgame

maybe sometimes theyre just waiting for a friend, or they just got shot at, etc, theyre in danger somehow and just thinking of it as "defense", often you cant know why someone acting the way they are, in game. having said that if someone does log in then just go and do that, intentionally, especially if its their daily play style , then they do have some kind of issues,
-
to the guy at the coast, i dotn know where we were, i didnt speak to you, then you ran off, i think you had jeans and a tshirt, it might have been day time. i hope you enjoy my story op

even better is quoting it for no real reason, but yeah i didnt even realise they were all on the same thread i guess, too many tabs open, sorry @ all forum readers. anyway back on topic.. 100% agree with this.

surely as more game mechanics are introduced, the game will become more difficult, in this testing stage, items are not rare, the developers just needs to test items, and how they work in game , it wont always be this easy.
-
it takes skill to stay alive, some players enjoy that challenge
-
wow how many hours have you played? before you found a gun ?
-
i sometimes play with friends, but most of them dont play it the same way i do, they prefer to loot on empty servers, play regular, kos, run around, dont communicate well, etc, i enjoy playing alone a lot, because i can play how i want to, i dont shoot people for no reason, i do interact if i get a realistic chance and if its safe to talk, and also i like it because because i know noone elses actions are going to get me killed. playing alone, ive met a few people who were cool or who have given me something i needed, also met a few people who definitely were not to be trusted, playing dayz sa alone is pretty amazing really,

i think this game is as difficult as you make it, sure you can move through cherno without dying, but you also can get your whole squad killed without even knowing who got you or how. it just depends where you go, and how you play. anyway thats what i like doin on thsi game, is just moving through the map, always on full servers, i pass though the airfields and bases, go through towns, whatever. moving and clearing is difficult if your doing it properly, identifying targets not shooting on sight, and i enjoy that, sometimes it feels like theres noone around, then you take fire, and your in the worst possible position, and you dont know where it was from, and pressure is on then. it is excitgn stuff, and the randomness and it not being constant fighting, just makes it even better

looting nwaf on an empty server running around care free finding your m4, lrs or whatever, and not giving a fuck about alerting zombies, thoughtlessly crossing to the air control tower then without a worry in the world straight up the runway or road to the tents full sprint . i cant imagine a more empty gaming experience, full servers all the way
-
i havent played this on experimental but maybe a good idea would be that the more burned the food is, the less % of the food remains to be eaten,
-
i wonder how it would be implemented though, just structures reset after 24 hours? or server reset only or what
-
wow thats good news if this new big town really doesnt lag as much, i cant wait to check it out on stable
-
my view is, if there is no challenge to get full equipment again after dying, there is no reason to get players to value characters life in game, which removes challenges from dayz sa, and brings dayz sa closer to other pvp shooter games.
-
the thread is suggesting leaving fov as it is now, (adjustable in game) and locking fov for "down the sights view" only.

Remove or change NEAF and Balota. One military airfield is already enough. Too much military.

im not feeling the mood of chenarus ruined at all, i think its fien as it is, why not just play their game and let them make the map how they think is best. how we use the map and play the game now, is not how it will be used and played by the time the game is fully developed. -
you're lucky if you even hear the gunshot in this game, let alone be able to tell distance and direction. hoping sound gets fixed to something playable soon...
