theres many threads on this already, and yes , the sounds are there, zombie, eat , drink, reload, etc , sometimes they are constant, and game ruining to be honest, i really hope it gets fixed fast

op, dont speak for everyone, i and so many other gamers care about dayz. im shocked how many people create threads slating a game for being unfinished when of course thats the case, it is in testing stage, and will be for a long time

i think the z, x, and c system is good, it took me a long time to get used to arma controls, and after properly becoming used to them, i think they are well thought out and work in combat and general movement

i don't agree that you have to take the risk of shooting anyone you see to make the game worth playing.

firing a gun is a risk in dayz, even if you shoot the "threat" on sight, there is no way of knowing they were alone, or that your shot wont alert another player i think the only roleplay needed in dayz is stay alive,

dotn you think its risky though, just shooting people? if that person in the tents you shot had had a friend covering them, they woudl have shot you, and there could have been two people dead for the reason of " he didnt reply when i said hello" if you do keep "shooting anything that moves" i think you will be very lucky to have a long ingame lifespan

i was stuck in the underneath of a raised wooden house the other day and it took a while but i got out by just running and "v-ing" in all sections of the walls, in the end i just walked through a bit of the wall without pressing v, it was weird. anyway good luck op -
i dont fire a shot unless i need to in dayz, although im happy others do kill people for no reason, or there would not be so much danger in the game

if your dying, its because you arent being careful enough, thats all there is to it. if people want to stop testing, thats up to them, but everyone bought an alpha testing game, so what did they expect to be playing

i just saw you quoting me, then replying to questions i didnt ask. you keep saying, "you dotn have do do it f you dotn want to" which is such a pointless statement to keep making. after all your words, i am still at a loss as to why dressing up as a fireman, doctor, policeman, or anything else, woudl be relevant in dayz. edit: alpha dogmeat, it actually is possible to dress liek the character you pictured, even with flatcap, in dayz. they have trousers, wool coat, shotgun wellies, caps, etc

did i state that everyone else won't get it? no did i state i was being forced to "roleplay"? no what i did say was, why would anyoen want to dress up liek a cop or a fireman in a world filled with zombies and murderers. so why not reply to that instead making up answers to statements i didnt make

dayz is probably the best pc game ever made, even in its current state, there is no other game like it, why would it not be a good idea to release it in alpha for testing? seems a pointless topic/question to me,op -
sure il be happy if they increase the detail, but i dont see the problem with how it looks now, its an abandoned area. theres a bit of damage in places, i dont know what more people expect, as far as im concerned the atmosphere is already there, i hope the designers dont go over the top with it, or change it much from what it is already.

if you were washed up on the coast of a country filled with murderers and zombies, why would you care about trying to dress up like a cop or fireman or whatever else. surely just playing to stay alive is enough "roleplay" i dont get this topic

someone already put a suggestion, so when you getting wet the sound is more of a tap, like it sounds when you wear a baseball cap in the rain and its hitting the peak search for it and vote or comment on it in suggestions forum -

when looking down sights fov should be the same for everyone, only non scoped fov should be adjustable either that, or separate sliders for these two view modes, thats what i think is the solution for fov. -
you obviously want to not shoot unless you have to, you dont want to be a kos player, thats cool, in the situation you described, someone walked into your space with weapon aimed at you, and they knew you were there, you did not try to kos them, you just tried to defend yourself. shooting was the correct thing to do, surely. there was no time for anything else, once he was in the barn aimed at you.

make them useful by reading them, if you don't want to read in dayz, dont pick up books. i do read books in game. if only i could find another copy of "the trial". i swear its so rare compared to some other books, or im just unlucky.

i reckon dayz goes over a lot of peoples heads, not tryin to be elitist or anythin, i get that some people just wana have "fun" in a game i think it was the same in far cry 2, when people have too much freedom they get confused or bored
