my view is, if there is no challenge to get full equipment again after dying, there is no reason to get players to value characters life in game, which removes challenges from dayz sa, and brings dayz sa closer to other pvp shooter games.
-
the thread is suggesting leaving fov as it is now, (adjustable in game) and locking fov for "down the sights view" only.
-
Remove or change NEAF and Balota. One military airfield is already enough. Too much military.

im not feeling the mood of chenarus ruined at all, i think its fien as it is, why not just play their game and let them make the map how they think is best. how we use the map and play the game now, is not how it will be used and played by the time the game is fully developed. -
you're lucky if you even hear the gunshot in this game, let alone be able to tell distance and direction. hoping sound gets fixed to something playable soon...
-
this weapon switch problem happens a lot especially on full servers. nothing you can do about it, its just a bug we have to live with for now
-
its only when looking down sights that fov can be abused so locking it is surely perfect solution, i dont see a need to stop people adjusting fov(not scoped) while in game,
-
i wish i could give a constructive answer than 'i just dont like the look of them, compared to a helicopter, while i realise that they might be more realistically serviceable, etc' but thats all ive got right now
-
im expecting that raincoats will have functionality when sickness mechanics are introduced
-
yes i did underdtand your reply, which is why i said that thats not what teh topic is about. i think fov should be adjustable, just as it is now. i cant see any reason why everyone should be forced to use the same fov setting, or forced to change it while out of the game. the topic is about a suggestion that scoped or iron sights fov should not be adjustable in game, or out of game. everyone should see the same fov, when looking down sights. edit later>>> actually forget that, i guess its fair enough of you mention that you dont want adjustable fov in game, at all, since i do actually mention that in the title, i just dont see that adjustable non-scoped/sighted fov is an advantage, because anyone can choose whatever they feel comfortable with, ive said before that i would prefer to use a higher fov than i currently use, because its less of a tunnel vision and claustrophobia experience and more of a natural wider view with higher fov, but the scope zoom penalty is too much of a disadvantage.

i wonder if it will always be the way it is now? will houses and other buildings always stay the same colours in every town? i do like the map and towns as they are, i take it for what it is, while the improvement would be massive. im wondering if this is something that we can expect to see in future, houses and buildings were painted different colours ? example, the big red or green houses with upstairs rooms, would be such an improvement to see maybe a blue one in some towns, or any colour, except red or green, it would feel so much more realistic, immersion, and make a town feel more individual . this applies to all buildings, except obviously red brick buildings, fire stations, etc.
-
i had hoped my explanation was clear enough, but i am suggesting adding new colours for the houses/ buildings, where appropriate. edit, well not even suggesting, because i assume its somethign that devs will already have considered, im just discussing it really, i may put it as a suggestion.
-
what? fov is already adjustable in game. the topic is about locking fov while in scoped or iron sights view, not sure if you got that.
-
i definitely do not want to see this vehicle in game, while i would not mind seeing helicopters introduced, i just dont want to see this.
-
yeah,
-
i like the military base, i dont see why a location op liked in the mod, should be relevant to the future of sa
-
i didnt fall in love with dayz mod, as u did op, i much prefer sa even in its current state, i dotn see why you are attempting to judge a game thats still in early testing, as if you know how it is going to turn out, you bought the game to test it, so either test it, or uninstal and play arma 3 . im all for constructive criticism, this post isnt that(in my view)
-
i have made friends with russian players through dayz sa, and also battlefield, i dont share the op's experience at all. i enjoy gaming on russian servers
-
scoped or iron sigts fov should be locked, normal view fov still changable, surely thats the solution

Zombies are too hard (defending my opinion)
qww replied to JosephHabib's topic in General Discussion
i think the distance zombies spot you from can feel a bit much, and sometimes they spot you when they are facing and looking the other direction and quite far away the hit reg and lag and sometimes not hearing them until they ran right up and hit you(same with players) can make it difficult, the zombies themselves i dotn find difficult to kil, even in this current headhsot only state. sure they can be dangerous, so just try to avoid them as best as possible when unarmed or at any other time, as you should -
EDITED - PETITION: Should a sound be made when we log on and off?
qww replied to Grimey Rick's topic in General Discussion
i voite yes, it shoudl be a natural bird sound that only plays for the log in and log out, can hear up to about 50 meters id say. ist the only fair way to do it, other wise people can log in behidn you, in an area you think is clear, and that just sucks . i cant see any reason why there shouldnt be a sound. -
i dont even mind about lag at this stage of development, only thing that starting to annoy me is audio bugs!
-
possibly attempt communication, depending if u know they are hostile or not, then work out exactly where you can be seen from, and what to cover, then defend and hope that enemy doesnt wall glitch to see you or shoot through wall somehow..
-
i think theres a lot still to be developed with the map, and loot spawn locations, im not really concerned with at all, just taking it as it is for now generally. its not as busy as east of course, although i do see players in north, south and west areas, nwaf is definitely not safe on full servers unless lucky
-
i expect in future pristine condition items will be more rare, but for now they are all pristine when they spawn yeah
-
we need to be able to hear gunshots, i cant think of anything more important to get fixed in the game! not zombies, not lag, not anything, every day one person hears a gunshot when other one doesnt, even from super close, when im in a group. today it made a situation unplayable so badly that i had to make this post. im a happy alpha tester usually, defending the alpha status etc, while i must admit this is making me wana take a break from dayz, especially if its something thats not seen as important enough to get fixed quickly
