"Also, when we ban you, we don't want you to come back. Hence the reason for the ban." EDIT: can you IP ban on forums?

You can not play on this server. If you are a server admin, please contact DayZ staff." I am running 1.7.1.2 with beta 93825. All servers i have tried are as well. Where you were: I was in Belota when the server crashed and this first happened, now it happens on all servers. What you were doing: Crawling to Belota Army Base *Current installed version: 1.7.1.2 Beta 93825 *Server(s) you were on: all that i tried

    Pending Hotfix: Build 1.7.1.2

So is the hatchet the same thing that you use to cut trees or is it a totally new item?
  7. I have never been to Cherno (other than the outskirts) and i've only been to elektro twice, i've been playing for just over a week now and I can go from spawn to pimped out with full gear in about 3-5 hours. You absolutely do not have to go to Cherno/elektro at the start, infact doiing so is a massive risk. Going to a castle so early on is also a massive risk. You should loot 3-4 of the small to mid size towns + barns inland before you even consider it. I can survive cherno or elektro with nothing, just sprint in, attract the horde, run into a fire station and kill off the zombies with the gun you find. No one shoots you because then they have to deal with that horde.

    Fumbling flashlight and weapon

This isnt helped by the fact that you are more likely to find NVGs than flares in the latest patch... hope its a bug...
  9. I will be going on an expedition specifically to find vehicle parts and fortification kits for you guys very soon. Its time to make this a reality.

    Weapon damage

Ok i know this is going to make the game seem like fallout, but this is my idea: Over time, weapons get damaged through use. They need to be cleaned and have parts replaced. This is not such a big problem in the civilized world, but in a zombie apocalypse, a weapon would get some serious wear and tear. Certain weapons would be more rugged then others. An AK-47 for example can take a serious beating, much more than an M-16. Some things other than firing could do damage as well. Entering water for example, or placing a weapon in your backpack and then rolling on the ground. Eventually some part of your gun will break. It may not be a vital part, but any peice that breaks will have a negative effect. Some effects could be: Unable to fire at all (Attempting to fire may break other parts or hurt you). More prone to other parts breaking More prone to jamming Less accuracy Improperly aligned iron sights or scope Most weapons you find lying around would have some sort of damage, mostly not very serious. Depending on the environment you found your weapon in, it is more or less likely to have damage. A weapon found in a fire station is far less likely to be damaged than a weapon found in a helicopter crash site. In order to repair a weapon, you would have to find spare parts for that weapon or a similar one (for example weapons in the AK series, including the SVD). You could find these parts alone or salvage them from other weapons. If you find a weapon and salvage it to get parts for your own, It is not guaranteed that the part you need is intact on the weapon you found. You would also find cleaning kits. These would have a limited number of uses. Weapons that are not properly cleaned would be more prone to damage or jamming. Also if you shoot another player, you risk damaging their weapon if you hit it, so if you want another players weapon, you would have to do be careful killing them. I don't know how much of this woul be possible with the Arma II engine, but i think this would add a lot more to the struggle to survive that is such a major part of Day Z. It would force players to make tough decisions like "Should i carry more food or spare parts for my gun?" I am open to any suggestions or arguments, just be civil.

    Ignite flare while holding it.

you can carry flares now, just walk up to it and use the action menu and select pick up flare... you are now holding a lit flare. However you are also basically holding a huge sign that says "COME KILL ME!!!" to every zombie and player within 1 km...
  13. id be willing to find supplies you need if you will trade for them... i would be especially happy to trade for ammo.

So how did the zombies happen?

I suppose if i saw that i would start shooting or running...

    Solution for Excessive Murder

Well, no. That's the Sociopath side of things. But, there's nothing realistic about murdering someone and then standing in place for 5 minutes unable to move. I'd rather they introduced a behind the scenes sanity meter based on your murders that made you start seeing and hearing things that aren't there and make noise even when you were trying not to. The meter slowly drains over time but, only when logged on. So you can kill in self-defense without having to worry too much or you can go on a murderous spree and slowly lose yourself. Edit: I would also like to add that the sanity meter does reset upon death. make a full post of this idea, that is just brilliant.
