    How is dayz.st and dayztv connected?

    I've been noodling around the opendayz.net site and when I clicked on any link that's dayz.st related, it takes me to dayztv. Dayz.st was a server hosting company back in the mod that had super cheap rates like $35/month. I had a server from them. I know anybody can do a redirect from any place, but this is highly irregular. DIs the guy that owns dayztv (hwk) a former owner of dayz.st?

    Logs Are Still Highly Inadequate

    Thank you to Eugene for getting kill logs in as a priority, you stuck to your word and I thank you for that. Well done sir! Unfortunately, having logs that show Survivor (29) kill Survivor (48) on a PvE No-Kill server then log off with no GUID or Steam64ID in the logs makes kill logs practically useless. Survivor (29) is replaced by another Survivor (29) with a 21+21 ID that kind of looks like it changes for the same player (unconfirmed). Without having RCON open 24/7, we can't track who's really killing who. We also desperately need Player vs Player damage as well as method. E.g: JiminyCricket HIT TimmyTom with Crowbar...or...JiminyCricket SHOT TimmyTom with SVD. Steps to Resolve Logs must show GUID or Steam64ID Player Damage indicators and method injected to the logs (like the old days)

  4. As of Monday, we saw some RCON messages getting through from someone, presumably a dev. I was hoping this issue would be fixed. As of right now Scheduler.xml, MOTD, as well as RCON messages are not showing up on the server. Whatever is preventing this needs to be fixed. If the stock setting i set to <off> it needs to be turned <on>. We run a very popular NO-KILL PVE server and we need our policy on player damage, killing, banning, etc to be visible to players as a stock option. Catering to Content Creators and Streamers should be a secondary and OPT-IN option, NOT s stock setting. Thank you for your time.

    They disabled server messages for clients. They need to turn them back on. This is a problem that shouldn't be a problem.

    [REQUEST] Turn Scheduled Messages Back On

    Hello, We've become aware from the new BETA Stable Branch that scheduled messages (Scheduler.xml) as well as MOTD's are turned off for players as a stock option. We need this reversed as soon as possible. We run a very popular No-Kill PvE server that requires players to see the rules through scheduled messages. There is absolutely no way to get our messages across at this time and things are getting a bit chaotic. Sorry to tag y'all here...I know you two must be super busy and I know Eugene is sick and probably a bit tired. Ya'll are the tippy top of the food chain here so I had to do it. Thanks for reading.

    It opens and stuff, but how does one adjust infected numbers per zone or is that not done with this tool? I'm really not sure how to do anything besides open the AreaFlags.xml, uncheck the paint box, and scribble paint lines. Under zombie_territories in Territory Types I have Army and Village selected. Now there are unclickable circles on the map. Shouldn't each of these circles be clickable with enterable data? Under Properties I see values for Static and Dynamic for Army and Village. Those numbers don't correspond to the overall numbers and it can't be selected area's because I can't select anything. Zone, it's greyed out and nothing is adjustable. Presumably the Zone is for infected and animals? My goals are adjusting Infected numbers and regions (and numbers per region) as well as complete control over loot spawns. The same exact content is in the bottom link. I guess Tom took it down and is presumably working on a documented package that includes that content.

    What seems to be your problem? I forgot to mention to save it you need to hit the lock button (Rapify?). The buggy thing is renaming the file, I was just naming it config and it wasn't showing my work after reopening it. It literally has to be typed as config.bin or the save won't take. I used PBO Manager to repack the .pbo. Once it's repacked, open the .pbo with PBO Manager and hit the lock button and it'll ask to Apply the Checksum, hit apply and thats it...ready to upload.

    I noticed that some alterations to light. I don't know if this helps or not, but I kept several versions of builds from the 0.40's through 0.50's when DayZ had one night light on per town. Let me know.

    Holy cow, thats looking pretty good. Really sets the mood. I like this one too because you can see a lil bit of light up ahead...just enough navigate by. Something to shoot for. This one is a good showcase of best results.

    I've got a few questions regarding the ^ statement. In the year of our lord, today is the first of November which leaves us 60-61 days depending on how you count. When do we call the build BETA? Does this mean that BETA is only the 0.63 Experimental Branch and once it gets pushed to Stable it's 1.0? Traditionally a build works like this: Internal build 0.x goes to EXP and then on to Stable 0.x. With that said, BETA should be when 0.63 hit's the Stable Branch right? Why are we still getting Stress Tests? Isn't that what Experimental is for? I always thought that EXP was the stress test for each build. What happened to BETA Strike Team 1 & 2? How long will the game be in BETA (whatever that is now) before it hit's 1.0?

Sure, people complain but there is a macrocosmic frequency here where you have to sift through the complaints to get to anything. It's too much, nobody should have to deal with this. DayZ wasn't the biggest shit in 2012. There was 2M users/downloaders according to BI which could be entirely fake figures. Even if the numbers are legit...thats nothing more than a hint we should make a full game. That piece of shit game Firewatch sold over 1M copies...2-3 hours of shit. OK then, maybe it's time to move on. Cya in the next life...you're being ignored for the rest of this one.

    You have to make concessions to get the people to play, nothing else works or has worked and it's been 7 years man...7 god dam years. When is enough enough? 2 million users refused night play on the mod and almost 4 million feel the same way about it now. It's about immersion, fun, and being scared. Running around in a black screen isn't fun, it's garbage. Whats scary about a black screen? Nothing. Street lights isn't going to make DayZ turn into GTA anymore than it already has. Thats preposterous! There are a lot of things in-game that doesn't fit the apocalypse bill. Red blood stains, blood dries black. Why doesn't this turn DayZ into GTAZ? It doesn't because thats stupid.     This is essentially my Power Grid idea I was referencing to Gary. I got the idea from the original Breaking Point mod from DayZ Mod where you had to go to the Cherno and Elektro powergrid to do something and it would turn on the Green Mountain transmission. In a perfect world, I would love this and we've got someone who posted it for us in a modding forum, but it's obviously a challenge and would just be happy to have a Street Lights script that put the lights on so we can get a night cycle going with asses in seats max pop. It's cool that it's in the game. But it's going to be way too much work to get anything powered on a macro scale. Illuminating a house, cool great! Powering a Hamlet, Township, or City...very unlikely.

    Thanks man! I changed the range to 13,000 just so the outer baronies would get radio silence. I thought the white noise was related to distance, not sure on that yet. Got more testing to do. Presumably the inputRange is how close you need to be to the radio for it to transmit. I've been using Eliteness.3.53.6.35.Installer.exe which can be found here: https://armaservices.maverick-applications.com/Products/MikerosDosTools/FileBrowserFree You'll also need to download and install the DePbo.6.44.0.16.Installer.exe as well for Eliteness to work. Saving is a bitch. Make sure you save to a new file (or not? can't remember), close out and reopen. If you get the \, you did it wrong. Let us know how it goes!
