    [Bug] Please Wait

    No sir I am not. I'll log onto a server get a 99 second wait timer and when it's over it says 'Please Wait' on an infinite loop. I have to log out and relog [same server] and get the 99 seconds again, rinse repeat 3x total and maybe throw in an additional 30 or 60 second timer before I can actually log in. Happens to everyone in our colony so its not just me. So far its gotten several vote-ups so its no isolated to us. Before the 99 second timer we would get the 299 second timer 3x plus an additional lower second timer before a successful login. No I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about the same server, not another server. To us and our group its game-breaking enough to bring it up in the Bug Tracker as well as here. Regardless our your doubts, I'm still trying to promote getting this fixed. If you want to try and help fix this bug, please do so. Thanks for the post.

    Am I the only one seeing this..... People losing faith in the game

    My thoughts are: glad to see those types of people go. Most players I've run into, and I'm talking 80%-90%, are new to the game. If they don't have enough patience to deal with the current state of progress or have the mental fortitude to research why development has slowed (Dean Hall's reddit reveals why and it's nothing out of this world) then we don't want you hanging around whinging about why you don't have your cookie yet. The community is only going to suffer by having these kind of people. These are the kind of people that will be drawn in by the 500+ vehicles, donator loadout's, self bloodbag/saline etc. Impatience ruins something special like DayZ as patience is the biggest element in this game. DayZ doesn't need 10 million whinging babies turning this forum into a cry fest about how OP a weapon is like COD forums have turned into. COD was a great game once upon a time, but the whinging little kids completely ruined it and now the game is catered to them. Reiterating, glad to see them go. Also, I'm playing some other early-access games and DayZ is moving so much faster than any of the others.

    SKS Underpowered

    I have to agree here. The SKS is spotty. Sometimes it's on, sometimes it's not. When it's on, its hot. When it's off it sucks. Not sure how to explain it, but that is my experience with the system.

    I have a few questions: From your "How Items Protect Players | Backpacks - FT. Press and Anti Stab Vests (Part 3)' video at 1:37: "Little did we know that dead bodies take a huge amount of additional damage compared to a living player." My question is: How do you know that the gear on those bodies at that particualr time/build did not recieve an additional amount of damage as well? Can you prove/disprove this? Also, are those bodies dupes? They appear to be the same person. Did that person die, respawn, and run back to said location? Do not take this as insult if not true, but for the sake of science the question must be asked. At 3:33 of the same video you shoot your test dummy wearing a Press Vest at very close range [2 meters minimum] and kill it with one bullet. Doesn't distance play a roll in damage? I've been shot at longer distances than that with several FNX shots and more than survived to tell the tale whle wearing a press vest and without. I have also been shot with Mosin rounds in the back and front [on more than one occassion] of a press vest and 1x it went from pristine to ruined and 1x it went from pristine to damaged. I didn't go black and white and just bled. In both instances I ran to cover for several minutes and survived. In both instances I was shot from a distance of 100-200 meters max. This tells me that distance does play a role in damage because I know I was hit in the vest as only the vest had damage and nothing else. The instance I was shot in the back, I took a Mosin round as well as M4 rounds. I know the sounds of the gun and took damage at intervals of fire from different weapons systems. Looking to learn more about this phenomenon.

    Your misunderstanding what I said, let me try again... He can't see where the bullets are hitting when he's shooting prone because there is no dust kick-up on the ground from where the bullet hits [or misses its target] which is a confirmed bug. Hall or Hicks talks about it in their reddit.

    Don't give up! This series is refreshing and interesting. Your rendition of Air at the end was very nice. :thumbsup: Great job!! It was the same guy. First time he tried taking me out. Guess he spawned in the same area again, we helped him and set him on his way and a few minutes later he came back and did himself in…lol. Guess he had second thoughts. What are you going to do! As always Odin, thanks! Part II, I think I actually talk a guy down. Got to look at the archive to make sure though.

    Location: Sveltojarsk Hive: Stable/Hardcore 0.44.123800 Shots fired, colonists down. We get a distress call and join the action. I've yet to see this many dead bodies in a building at once. At one point, the bodies piled so high you couldn't get up the stairs. So many bodies and gear inside, the lag was unbearable and players logging out were wiped.     Well, I guess sarcasm isn't your strong suite. I registered during SA, but I started playing the mod in Fall 2012. See the error in that logic? Let's have an example, maybe you registered when you said you did and put up a thread like: Hey, Can I Run DayZ Mod On This Machine? And never played it, or etc. Your original post I quoted [COD post] had zero element of sarcasm and just appeared to be another trollerific post. With the board being in troll mode of late, just looked like business as usual.     Considering these things are everywhere, even 3rd world countries, I think they would make an excellent addition to DayZ. I know we already have water purification pills, but you need a water bottle or a canteen to use them and those take up space. I know I haven't had a canteen or water bottle in my inventory since January. Each straw gets a set amount of uses before it goes bad…simple!

    Already been covered by Dean Hall and it won't be until the end of development. Sound comes last.

    Yesterday I played the Mod after 200 hours of Standalone.

    The reason for that is the majority of SA players are new to the game. In my experience 7-8 out of 10 never played the mod. Those that played the mod, like myself, know there is a serious hero community there…almost 50%. Last I checked, the bandits out-numbered the heroes but not by much. Once SA is closer to completion, things will go back to normal. Glad you got to experience it.

    Will not be playing again until fire axe is un-nerfed

    Good news for you my friend, its fixed in the current experimental build. Unfortunaely, last I checked experimental was offline for further tweaking so you can't jump over there and find out yourself. But I played 0.45 before it went down and zombies go down in one hit again.
