Not really. The confusions comes from the language. His real name was Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci. Di Ser Piero means: Son of Piero. Da Vinci means: From Vinci. So really, his name was simply Leonardo. You actually have a case. I had to check this out and considering the only source is from an 2003 publication, I would lean towards you being correct. Obviously, I would have to look deeper at this, but good catch! Dean probably came up with it. It's short for Day Zero. In the Mod, you had a debug monitor that had statistics on it. On the top is said how many days you survived, e.g. Survived 40 Days. When you died it went back to Survived 0 Days. Research before hate is a pretty good idea. The name is great. It's simple, easy to remember, can't be confused with any other game and it makes for a great logo which is a massive part of any company or game in this case. Business 101.

Crows will be coming to DayZ. Found the audio files in the pbo's. Considering we have all these new animals, I thought it was interesting enough to make a thread about it. Curious if they'll be huntable or when body despawn timers are removed if they will peck on dead player bodies. That would be really cool imho.

Interesting, sounded decent on my end. After I read this I asked some friends for an opinion and they thought it was alright. I know this sounds silly to ask and don't take offense, but did you try turning your volume up? Also, what sort of device did you have this lack of audio experience on? I am a dedicated 'go prone' user, but lately it's not working as it used to. Of late, if you have 'go prone' mapped and hit the key your character goes into the prone position quicker…the way it worked before was you did a dive to the ground. Is this intended or a bug? Not sure if anyone noticed, but 'go prone' is not working at all in experimental 0.45. I do have a bug report up. Thanks. One last question: is the 'go prone' thats in stable working as intended? It just makes you go into the prone position faster. Not long ago you did a little dive to the ground. I miss that little dive as it can make all the difference in certain situations. Thanks for the reply.

Only quit 1x. Twas many many moons ago... I was stupid enough to climb an Office tower ladder and got the your dead bit. Came back to my body which was sideways in the tower and let me tell you I was dam near the end of 10 minutes, maybe had 30 seconds left [had a timer running]. Started accessing my body and the server restarts. Lost everything. Spend 2 hours gearing back up, finally got back to where I was. Log on to a server where some friends were playing and was wiped fresh on the coast. Tried 2 servers that were in my favorites to see if I could get my gear back…nada. Logged right out of TS and shut everyhting off as quickly as possible…the end.

The game is constantly evolving and there are plenty of non-idiotic log out choices that could get you starched. For instance, I logged out deep in the woods in experimental in a very discrete location. Wasn't close to a town, nothing. Ace spot. When I logged in, I almost shit my pants when I ran for 5 seconds and saw 2 guys with a campfire about 50-100 meters from where I logged out/in. Both were armed with guns drawn and having a BBQ. I think they heard my feet so I introduced myself and hoped for the best. I said I was friendly, they said they were friendly. Reiterating, they had their guns out. I asked them to put their guns away. I offered them deer steaks. One guy put his gun away, the other didn't. After a bit of dialogue, the guy who didn't put his Mosin away thought he was being slick and dipped behind a v-shaped birch tree and went ADS on my location. I proceeded to GTF outta there as quickly as possible zig-zagging the entire way out and parted with a few choice words. Hunting, fishing, etc will put people out in the wild and it's going to make it that much harder to find a "safe" place to log out. If there was a login ammo noise, I'm pretty sure I would have been smoked.
