I find this experience has made me a more rounded player as I am now memorizing pond/lake/stream locations.

Isn't the real issue here the loot respawn mechanic?

Its a bug, I've duped a bunch of stuff on accident and its cluttering up my camps. Spending time taking shit out of the area, very annoying.

Sorry you went through such an elaborate reply…I do appreciate the sentiment. But reiterating, there is no option to disable right now. I've been using controllers to play DayZ since 10/2012 and currently use the wireless xbox controller with the wireless receiver. Thanks though!

So you saying change controller="Default" to controller="Disabled"? I use Xpadder and its not working properly. (post #1, sentence #2) Not going to get into details but I've broken each hand 2x (5th metacarpal on each hand). After an hour or two both hands hurt. I don't feel like I'm at any disadvantage as DayZ isn't a fast twitch-muscle shooter. Its actually easier as I use controller/kb/mouse together. The only disadvantage I experience is slower turn around times…everything else feels just as accurate…even shooting.

My DayZ wouldn't start the other nght and had to verify and it didn't fix the wells. Its a global bug.

I am really pleased its gone. I loathed side-chat and with the influx of new players not knowing how to conduct themselves, no side-chat is a blessing.

My fragnet private shard server is respawning loot.

Send me a PM for the server. Private shard role-play on the highest level. Locks are a bit useless especially when you can punch them open. Its not my house, but a fellow traders house [trader colony]. Granted, there might be a few players that don't know about bashing doors in, not much to hope for…what is to hope for is to put them in a house thats not on the beaten path and/or in a remote region…which is where this house is.

Our research shows 4 restarts and still there. I should mention these backpacks are inside a house that is locked. This is on fragnet (not sure if that matters). Hope this helps!

All you have to do is ask me once, I don't need the reps. Thanks though! You were doing it wrong because you should have gotten out of the pub servers when the getting was good. Find a nice private server to play on that had active admins. There were several. It is late and I may be reading this wrong; but by your own account, if hackers dropped by 90% in the mod and you were getting hacked on daily…wouldn't that be saying you were playing on that 10%? If thats the case…how is it not clear you were doing it wrong? Off to bed, take it easy!

Regulator Lone, the thing you don't understand that there is absolutely nothing on the planet earth that will stop hackers immediately. If the devs fix the known hacks, the real hackers (not the squeakers that buy hacks and use them) go back to the drawing board and write up some new ones. Those are reintroduced into the stream of users. The devs acquire them, make the appropriate fixes...rinse/repeat until the security is so strong that the hackers can't find a work-around or the work-around takes too much work/resources to accomplish. The only real way to beat the hacks instantly is to shut the game off which isn't a viable option. So when you repeat the same generic reply of what you believe won't work, you are truly wasting your breath. I ran a private hive for 10 months and with active admins we had 3 hackers (that got dealt with) during that time. --- Toporek, I'm just going to say it: I am highly suspicious about people posting Oo I met a hacker video as they almost always look like set-up videos. What I'm not suspicious of is watch me kill a hacker video. You got 4 hacker videos which is fueling them whether you want to believe it or not. You can't turn it off right now. For someone like me that uses xpadder this is a game breaking issue.

Like hating them is going to make them stop or feel insulted. They get off on the publicity. Best thing to do is ignore them completely…like they don't even exist.
