    Hello again! 1. Not sure what you mean about losing the server you're trying to expand. I just clicked the chevron to the left of the server name/description/etc on a few servers and didn't lose anything. 2. Yeah, I dunno...I think its shiesty especially when night is still so unattractive. Its deceptive and there should never be anything deceptive about a server browser. Server browsers are they for a person to navigate to something they want, not something the devs want you to want.

    Thanks for the reply! 1. There is no need to double click though as there is a chevron to expand on the left side. I want to double click and join. I don't think I'm alone. 2. A symbol is worse than time because its ambiguous. You can't tell how many hours of daylight are left. 4. Design wise its bleghh. BI isn't known for having good UI's especially web related. Look at the bug tracker. Redone and it still is hard as hell to navigate. If you're not familiar with web icons you wouldn't even know where to sign up. Arrow in a box = sign up...no way Jose. 5. They should consolidate them. 6. Of course it does...its misplaced. Junior Designer 101. Nobody should have to search for buttons, it should be directly visible and easy to use.

    Before I start, I want to say that I've never once complained about development...not once. Actually, I've defended development about as hard as anybody else has. But I'm looking at Gametracker and Steam Charts for DayZ and there is about 7 fully populated servers in the top 20 during peak hours. According to Steam Charts DayZ is at its lowest peak player count since SA with the 2nd lowest player peak since November of last year. Its really looking like DayZ Mod circa July 2013. I miss the days when you got a relative idea when the next build would come out, like even a ballpark but its ready when its ready thing is kind of a kick in the nuts right now. I get it, they're working hard and stuff...but .61 doesn't seem like a big build and we're going into our 4th month since .60 with no experimental build in sight. I was thinking that hey, maybe we all have some senoritis, but the stats ^ point in the opposite direction. There was a guy on Reddit that posted something interesting about devs possibly losing passion and pointed fingers at the Status Reports. I don't think the devs have lost passion, but I really do think the Status Repots are as the poster says they are. They seem thrown together and often times even lacking a proper screenshot with the date on them. Its the same report it seems. We're not even getting proper Change Logs anymore. Why is that? I've asked this question a multitude of times and I never get a proper answer. Is it because the 14 year-olds complain so hardcore? If yes, make the population suffer so you won't get complaints...not cool! Last Change Log was in two parts and had over 6,000 entries in it. I get it, y'all did a shit ton of tweaks in that build but its like every tiny thing you did. It was a copy/paste and impossible to read. Why even post it? I know we've been getting some extra video content with Nespesney and etc but I can't be the only one that found them impossible to watch. Nespesney, great guy for real and I hate to be critical towards him, but that video wasn't easy to watch and most of the questions felt like filler that didn't really go anywhere. I would really like for it to go back to the way it was. Good Status Reports, lets talk about upcoming features (stashes, choppers, motor bikes, base building, advanced barricading, beards, anything interesting) throw out some dates even if you miss them...it gives us something to hope for and considering we're in the final stretch who cares if y'all miss some date marks. Keep the audience entertained because there is very little of that going on right now.

    If I'm not mistaken, that quote from Hicks came before the console post for PS4 was announced which brought in the funding for the new engine and renderer. Naturally this changed development for the better, despite pushing beta back.

    I noticed Chris Torchia isn't working on DayZ anymore. Apparently he's working for Bohemia Interactive Simulations and VBS3 stuff. His twitter description reads as follows: Global Art Manager @bisimulations Playing with the hand I've been dealt. Playing the hand I've been dealt...what does that mean? Fired, moved, replaced? I remember the demo presentation called DayZ: Surviving Success @ DevGAMM conference he did where he really took a stab at the DayZ brass and looked to me like he was either being replaced and knew about it or had enough and was trying to get fired.

    I've never complained once, but there is more going on here than perceived slow development. As I stated in my OP, there are a lot of missing elements of what we used to get and I believe its hurting the project. As a matter of fact, I've given proof to that effect. I've had more patience than anyone here and I'm not complaining. I'm just asking for things to go back to how they were. Is that so much to ask? Lets keep the conversation civil so the thread doesn't spiral out of control and get locked. There is plenty of room to have a positive discussion here and maybe something good comes of it? I for one want less radio silence on features and their arrival. Whats wrong with that dear boy? My friend, I've been playing DayZ since August of 2012 and supported the IP and development with diligence. After 5.5k hours in DayZ I know what I'm talking about. Nobody is acting spoiled, we're having an intelligent discussion...please don't infringe on that. Thanks and have a good day!

    I think you're confused on a few levels here and I'll point them out for you then take another extended break from these forums. Hicks likes 1PP and he wants people to play all parts of the game because thats his JOB. Thats one guy on the team...singular not plural and he's the creative director formally the producer. BIG difference. "Rushing a wall, not knowing where a person might be is certainly more realistic. I don't see your point on that one. Because you get more chances to play invisible drone General to your toy soldier? " Invisible Drone General...seriously? What the hell is your problem man? You're just like these 14 year-old dickheads that have ruined the forum. Unbelievable...I'm gone for months, come back and bam right in the shit with a 1PP freak. Did I log onto bipolar.com or something? You don't see my point is because you're not reading what I'm saying. How the fuck do I know where the guy behind that wall is when playing 3PP? I don't...I mean isn't this like basic deduction??? What I'm talking about in baby formula words is looking for a way around that has more cover on the outside is more immersive than no0b rushing a wall. Look at me I'm a facking no0b rushing a wall and I'm so immersed right now I can't even believe it. If you can't see that, this conversation is never going to go anywhere. If Dean Hall or Marek, the guys that designed SA and made it happen didn't want it in-game it never would have been put in-game and thats before players became fond of it.     A Few Thoughts On.. (Communication, Deadlines, etc)

    Does this mean we won't be seeing anymore changelogs? We didn't get one for 0.59 and 0.58 was Tatanko's changelog if I'm not mistaken. So essentially, we haven't seen a changelog made by staff for a few updates now going as far back as 0.57. I like the changelogs. I like to find stuff for myself but its always a pleasant surprise to see something I missed.

    Fetish and drone view...hyperbole much? I never said 3PP is more immersive, what I said is that 1PP isn't more immersive. The cookie cutter response from 1PP players is they say 1PP is more immersive, its not and I can prove it with fact. Thats what I was getting at. You don't need to tell me about 1PP, I played tons of it man (Remember Balota Book Exchange or Fapping in the Woods servers?). When I see Veresnik base I think, "hey maybe there is somebody behind that wall and running like a no0b across the field might not be a good idea...let me try something more tactical." This makes me a better player. I know what they can do so I do something to counter that. Its not that hard and I enjoy the challenge. Immersion isn't getting a higher vantage point to see what lies below or waiting to peak around a corner. Immersion by definition is deep mental involvement and thats a fact. I involve myself deeply in whatever activity I choose in 3PP equally if not more than a 1PP player does. I'm attached to my gear and as a result I rarely die. My tactical assessment of engaging walls is much more immersive than a person in 1PP charging a wall is. If someone is in a room side-peeking a hallway or staircase, I'll engage with my voice to get an auditory cue to their location or maybe have someone get in another building with a different vantage to acquire better intel while I distract them. Or maybe I shoot the shit out of the wall where I think they might be or throw a flashbang or grenade in the room. Maybe its not hard to guess where they will be in the doorway when they try to Q/E the doorway and maybe I know where the head will be. This makes me a better player because I'm using my head. At this point I'm usually in 1PP and they're in 3PP. Entirely different game, not really...1PP is DayZ but less of it and thats a fact. Never liked Gears of War...its a kids game. I thought we were having a discussion and you're kinda being a dick about this with the condensing tone. Not sure why you're so offended man. Have a good day...

    Penalize Players That Run With Their Guns Out

    I never run with my gun out. If a PvP issue arrises its pretty hard to control the gun anyway and its a sign of aggression. The best way to interact is you need to start the interaction on the right foot. I like to interact with other players and I chose those interactions wisely. If they have a gun out, most of the time I head the other way. If I'm behind cover or can make contact at 30 meters or more safely I will, but its a gamble. Once you're less than 20 meters to someone you're basically dead if they chose to shoot you. Zig-zagging becomes obsolete at that range. Honestly, try running around with a rifle...you're going to get tired. Your arms are going to burn. In my younger years I was an athlete that competed on an amateur level, but trained on a professional level so I kinda know what I'm talking about. Considering DayZ SA went through an EA release and Bandits dominated the landscape resulting in high levels of players getting shot on sight. A good way to bring SA to its original state is to penalize players that run with their guns/rifles out. My proposal, make them run slower...

    Aww... When I get into a PVP situation I go 1PP. But when I'm running around, its 3PP all day. You get to see more of the map as well as the character model which are both very well done. What parts there are of the character model in 1PP stinks. No attention was given to it. If you look a certain way you see a headless body which is lame-o. I'm definitely not part of the notion that 1PP is more immersive. Its just not.

    1PP is dead for a reason...its not attractive. I played 1PP for 6 months straight and 3PP is much more desirable. Work-arounds for the so-called exploits make me a better player.

    REMOVE ''Player Kill Count'' from newui

    I started with the mod mid 2012 and the murder rate was fine when there was a kill counter. The reason murder is so high in SA is because the road to power was so short. Gear up in 2 hours, nothing to do, lets kill. Its penance for the game being in Alpha. People that kill more than they don't keep mental tabs of their work. Hell, I knew a guy that logged every kill and death on a text file. Whats going to improve the odds for those looking for a friendly interaction is more stuff to do and getting better at the game instead of running up to someone and Q+E'ing saying they're friendly. Honestly, most people that complain about the lack of friendly interaction flat out suck at the game. Get out of the pub jungle, thats your problem. Nobody played pubs for long in the mod. Its about finding the right community which is 110% private shards.
