I dont *want* you to do anything. Im just pointing out this is not a new issue and the info is available be it "old" or not. Regardless its unresolveable whilst theres money to be made from uncrupulous people selling cheats and the gullible buying them.
-
The waymany Anti cheatengines work is *not* to Ban instantly the moment a cheat is detected, this stops (do a degree) the hack writers ability to circumvent the anti cheat engine. Obviously this is very simplified. The upshot is that a cheater has more of an affect on a DAYZ player than, say, a Battlefield Player. who cna quickly respawn and get back to where they were before. Anti cheat operates in a myriad of ways and has been communicated in depth many, may times before, including on these very forums. What I *will* do is let the devs know that a refresher post might be of use as we do have a lot of new players who wont have seen the older threads. However, to say that theres's no info at all is not correct. We're having the conversation now here and ive personally ben part of discussions elsewhere. Ill mention it but cant gurantee if and when anything will get posted.
-
you dont have to agree but that doesnt make your opinion fact. Again, until folk stop buying hacks then cheating *will* exist.
-
yes. Edit: Over the years theres been loads of talk about how/what/why of dealing with cheating. The main upshot was/is that its an insurmountable problem while people continue to buy cheats. Its a really good money making business and until folk stop paying, other teams wont stop creating cheats. In DAYZ theres BE and Vac (afaik). Two very "big" names in the AC world. The main issue with cheats in DAYZ is that they have a bigger knoock on effect to the user compared to, say, in a Counter Strike or Battlefeild game where you can respawn with your stuff. A cheat in DAYZ can knock out hours or days of "work". Its no something thats ignored by the team and is a real concern and has beeen throughout the development of the game. However, all that can be done *is* being done even if it may seem that is not from your or others perspective.

Anti Hack measures *do* work. But they dont act instantly and there are good reasons for that. Best to play on live admin servers until the next banwave.
-
mwahahahahahaha! My plan is complete... 🙂
-
please note: pointless trolling may result in post hiding or sanctions. Be nice, be constructive, behave!
-
Dont forget it brings with it free stuff as well as DLC stuff afaik. There's also no one forcing one to buy it (if indeed it is charged for)🙂

Again, you are blowing something up way out of proportion. Perhaps its the way I type in English (ie with our idiosyncrasies) Im not saying you *are* paranoid, rather you are coming across as such in this thread. I dont remember anything about immaturity. If I've misstyped, I apologise. I used to get into all sorts of scrapes with my American Girlfriend as although we both spoke "English" there are vast dialectic nuances and differences which don't translate. As to the other mods, what about them? Im still in touch with many. Some are on "leave" as the forums, whilst busy, are not at their "viral" levels, so don't need as much attention and others have simply got other more important priorities Indeed I dont post here much as Im mainly taking care of my Mum who has Dementia and my Dad who has heart/chest problems. Mods being 100pc here or not has nothing to do with the game. Or am I missing the point you are trying to make? The devs *have* adopted a more "Hello Games" slanted style of comms, but even then are still *way* more communicative than HG. If there was any major issues I wouldnt waste my time *defending* the devs as I personally get very little from moderating other than chatting with some chum/chumesses.
-
I think you are a little bit paranoid tbh. You're seeing issues where there likely isnt any. Unlike Dyatlov, Im open to proof/facts and logic and indeed am *known* for not always following the party line. But although the dynamic of the devs to the users relationship as changed since Dean/Brian I am not seeing any major indicators of strife or difficulty. Yes, we've has a spate of staff turnover but this on its own is not *proof* of corporate issue or problems. We have to wait and see if other indicators pop up, which to follow you analogy Dyatlov ignored. At the moment we dont have any other indicators. Lastly, a game going tits up, whilst unfortunate, is hardly in the same vein as Chernobyl.
-
well, I can say diplomats from an embassy told me you were 100pc wrong. And Victoria Secret models tell me i'm attractive. See how that works? If you cant site your sources they cant be taken at face value.
-
Which closed alpha testers were these?
-
You'll have to contact the platform from which you purchased it. Im not a PS4 guy, but if it was online, whichever "store" you got it from should have info about returns/refunds. We cant directly do anything here I'm afraid.
-
It's something I'd like to see (inc PC) whether its practical/possible though is another thing. I'd like to play with our consolian brethren.
-
Lets not insult other users even though they may be vocal in a immature way. People come and go *all* the time, this is normal. Don't Panic. When the devs have something to tell us, they'll do so. Dont forget the Ps4 release has just launched, we've a long way to go before DAYZ "ends".
-
Contact mods etc directly via PM if there's exploits being used on Official servers etc. No point postin all the details here.

At what point do we consider DayZ dead online?
OrLoK replied to rickyriot's topic in General Discussion
A game is only "dead" when official support stops and server are removed. Like the game or not, DAYZ is here for a good while to come. As pointed out BI have good from historically for supporting their games for an extended time. DAYZ is massive for BI even if the virality has now ceased. They're not going to cease support any time soon barring an act of god etc.
