Hello there Yes, it is an interesting little conspiracy, but BE just was not ready to be fully meshed with the Alpha at launch time. If the Dev's wanted to eak out a little more cash, there's far more profitable ways to do it. As a pure cheat catching maneuver it too isnt viable. Rgds LoK

Hello there I say this as an online player who has had his experience ruined more than once in games I can barely afford to play. So, for me, its far more personal than professional. I dont feel a lifetime ban is warranted, but a Year is a good amount, in my mind. If you scripted in A2/bf3/MLPonline it matters not you have still done it and I do think one should be punished across the board and on all platforms. As an analogy If you are barred from one pub in my home town you are barred from all pubs in the local as you have proven yourself incapable of mixing in that environ. i see online cheating in a similar light. Hello there I have several old smartphones Ive been given which I use regularly and not for calls. If one remembers games like system shock where one could find games to play on their handheld a smartphone would work in the same way. A camera. A torch Angry Birds To do list Snake etc etc The caveats are... How do you charge it, even with a the correct charger? Is the electricity subsystem still functional? There are still town lights working, so possibly... GPS and phone sats may well be operational in orbit, but are the ground stations controlling them down/manned. Would they still function solo? Smartphone use isnt out of the game's scope, but needs some careful consideration. Rgds LoK

Hello there The devs do post info, both here and on twitter and reddit etc. They dont owe us any communication but I too think a regular/consistent daily one line tweet would be more than enough to satisfy many. That said, there will always be an outspoken few who will then complain that twice daily is needed ad infinitum. Hello there It may seem unjust to you but from many folks points of view it is entirely just. I think if one is caught legitimately cheating, they should be forbidden to play any online game for a vastly long time. But luckily I dont run things. Hacking is a risk vs reward thing. In general the risk is less than the reward so we do see alot of scripting/hacks. Im glad BE/Vac are turning the tables a little. Rgds LoK

Hello there Remember the VBS engine is its own fork and technically by a completely different team. So, as much as we would like all of vbs' loveliness in dayz its not a simple case of just porting it over. But, it shows that the engine is capable of such feats. Whether the devs would put the resources into this is also another thing. I think dayz will be a happy player friendly medium between A2/3 and VBS and the mod, with some tricks of its own. Rgds LoK
